Star Wars Battlefront 2 Classes And Weapons

By Justin Haywald on Jun 23, 2017 12:23 am

Star Wars Battlefront II will introduce a lot of changes to last year's divisive title. While one of the biggest new elements will be a single-player campaign (read our impressions here), multiplayer has also seen a significant retooling. In this gallery, we take a look at each of the classes for both of the game's factions. Following that, we look at all the weapons revealed so far.

Note that all of this content comes from a pre-alpha build of the game, so its potentially subject to major revision before the final release.

And for even more Battlefront II content, you can see all of the new heroes in the game here. See some footage of Han Solo body-checking Darth Maul (though that's probably not canon). And listen to our impressions of the vastly improved aerial combat in the game.

Star Wars Battlefront II is set to launch on November 17 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Unboxing: Ghostbusters II Board Game

By Mat Elfring on Jun 22, 2017 11:08 pm

The Ghostbusters II tabletop game has arrived. Originally launched on Kickstarter in the spring of 2016, the sequel to the 2015 game puts players in the role of one of the Ghostbusters, who have the task of cleaning up the city from ghouls and ghosts. The game supports one to four people and each mission can take an hour--or more--to complete.

This new game is jam-packed with miniatures, so we're diving right in to show off what's in the Deluxe Kickstarter version of Ghostbusters II.

While we haven't gotten into gameplay yet, we did get to test the prototype for this game last year. You can check out our impressions here.

The game was designed by Mataio Wilson (Ghostbusters) and Vincent Pritchard. It features creative talent from IDW's Ghostbusters comic series, artist Dan Schoening and writer Erik Burnham.

There is a lot in the box. The fifth page of the instruction booklet details everything inside, which includes over 40 miniatures. Because we were a part of the Kickstarter, we also received another box with 12 more miniatures, as well as game scenarios, cards, and tile maps.

The game features 12 scenario cards (four more additional cards are included in the Deluxe Kickstarter version). These cards tell you the story, villains, and objective for each game.

The scenario cards also tell you the map layout. Maps consist of multiple tiles, each of which is a 4x4 grid the miniatures move around on.

There is also a card element to the game, which features equipment for your character, events that take place during gameplay, and goo pile cards, which can trigger events or give you key items or equipment.

Each character comes with a card that has a detailed bio and information about the character's particular set of skills.

Like the playable characters, the villains in the game also have their own character cards.

Here is everything inside the box. The tray on the bottom-right corner was separately included as part of the Kickstarter. Continue to check out some detailed photos of the miniatures.

These are the playable Ghostbusters for the game. There are two versions of each: Proton Pack and Slime Blower.

And of course, Vigo the Carpathian wouldn't be complete without the painting of him, recreated by artist Dan Schoening.

Game Of Thrones Season 7 Trailer #2 Breakdown

By Mat Elfring on Jun 22, 2017 01:15 am

A trailer for the new season of Game of Thrones was released by HBO today, and in it, there are multiple wars all over Westeros. You can check out the trailer for yourself here. A lot happens in this trailer, which is two minutes long but contains close to 70 shots. Here are some of the biggest moments from the trailer to get you excited for the upcoming season debuting on July 16.

The video opens with Sansa riding in the north in slow motion. As she rides, Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish's voice can be heard: "Don't fight in the North, or the South. Fight every battle, everywhere. Always… in your mind." Sansa and Littlefinger's story is an interesting one. Littlefinger is on his own quest for the Iron Throne and is doing so by staying close to--and manipulating--Sansa Stark. He is more than likely interested in her as well. She is starting to open up to him, which is a huge mistake considering how untrustworthy Littlefinger is.

The gate opens at the wall and two people are about to go through: one standing and the other on a sled. At first, it seems like it could be Bran on the sled with Meera, but after watching the full trailer, it seems more than likely it's someone injured during the war with the White Walkers.

At King's Landing, citizens are applauding as the Unsullied walk the streets. The Lannister banners still hang beside an archway. This shot sets up the chaos to follow in the trailer.

Correction: The military walking down the streets are the Gold Cloaks, also known as the City Watch of King's Landing. It is not the Unsullied.

It was established in the last trailer that Daenerys is at Dragonstone. There are a few shots of her there again. This looks like the base of her operations during this season. She touches the Painted Table, which was originally created by her ancestor Aegon Targaryen.

The only time we see Arya is while she's riding a horse, looking worried. The outfit she's wearing looks like it is made for colder weather, suggesting she is headed north.

Daenerys finds a Baratheon banner and pulls it down. Jon Snow's voice can be heard: "For centuries, our families fought together against their common enemy."

Dragons fly towards Dragonstone. This could be Daenerys's first attack on the castle. Jon Snow continues: "Despite their differences, together."

Theon Greyjoy looks to be on his ship, which may be on fire, off camera. Snow's voice over continues: "We need to do the same if we're going to survive."

Greyworm is in full armor on a boat. He is headed towards a hole in a cliff. This could be Dragonstone or even somewhere in King's Landing.

We only see Brienne and Podrick once during the trailer. It's unclear where they are, but it looks like it could be Castle Black.

The Dothraki plow through the Lannister army's front lines. There are a lot of shots of the Lannisters engaged in battle with Daenerys's forces.

Jaime Lannister and Bronn stand behind archers poised to fire upon the enemy. It seems Bronn will be on the Lannister's side for the war.

Ravens fly in the north. It's tough to see, but they are flying over a battle, which is most likely made up of Free Folk and Wights.

Bran uses his Warg powers and sees the Night King. He quickly awakens. Bran is not near the battle in the north. He could even be south of the Wall at this point.

Beric Dondarrion wields a sword, which catches on fire. Some believe this sword could be Lightbringer, Stannis Baratheon's former weapon.

The Greyjoy fleet heads to King's Landing. Everyone wants the Iron Throne, and the Lannisters days seem to be numbered.

The Unsullied rush through a set of heavy doors in King's Landing. The city is surrounded from all sides and is being sieged from within.

Jaime Lannister rides into battle, alone. The battlefield is on fire. How is he the only person left?

The Dothraki and dragons charge into battle. Daenerys's monsters are a huge--literally and figuratively--part of the trailer and this season.

Jon Snow and some Free Folk--including one with another flaming sword--stand on top of a rock with Wights surrounding them.

Jon Snow and Davos Seaworth are together. What's interesting here is that Snow is wearing armor with the Stark emblem on it. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time he's worn that.

Jon Snow and a White Walker fight each other. The battle north of the wall is going to be intense.

Euron Greyjoy slices through someone. He's trying to end everyone else in the Greyjoy line, one swing at a time.

The trailer ends with Jon Snow cutting down a Wight. During the final shots, Sansa's voice is heard: "When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives." These are originally the words of Ned Stark, when he spoke to Arya in the novel A Game of Thrones.

The new season of Game of Thrones comes to HBO on July 16.
