Comic-Con 2018: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Collector's Edition Revealed At SDCC

By Anonymous on Jul 21, 2018 12:27 am

The Call of Duty: Black Ops franchise has a history of over-the-top collector's editions, and this trend continues with this year's Black Ops 4. Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con today was the Black Ops 4 Mystery Box Edition, the centerpiece of which is the creepy-looking box it comes in that looks like a skeleton, lights up, and makes Zombies sounds. The Mystery Box is inspired by the Zombies Mystery Box from the game.

Inside the box is a copy of Black Ops 4 in a steelbook, as well as Zombies Heroes FigPins for the Zombies characters Scarlett Rhodes, Bruno Delacroix, Diego Necalli, and Stanton Shaw. You also get a 1,000-piece puzzle featuring art from the entire Zombies experience dating back to its beginning in 2008, along with Issue #1 of the Black Ops 4 Zombies Dark House Comic from Dark Horse that dives into deeper detail on the backstory of the Black Ops 4 Zombies characters.

The $200 box also includes three Black Ops 4 lithographs inspired by the three Zombies experiences in Black Ops 4: Voyage of Despair, IX, and Blood of the Dead. A Black Ops 4-themed popsocket is also included in the package, while you also get a set of patches inspired by the game's 10 Specialist characters for multiplayer. Further still, the package comes with the Black Ops Pass, which gets you extra Zombies and multiplayer content over time. Finally, the package comes with "additional bonus content" to be announced later.

Black Ops 4 launches on October 12 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A multiplayer beta will be held in August, and you can find out all the specific times here. A second beta for Black Ops 4's battle royale mode will be held later.

Also at Comic-Con this week, Activision released two trailers for Black Ops 4's impressive-looking and fan-favourite Zombies mode--you can watch them here.

Comic-Con 2018: Spyro Reignited Trilogy Lets You Choose Between Original And Remastered Soundtracks

By Anonymous on Jul 21, 2018 12:27 am

Nostalgia has been a strong pull for older franchises to make comebacks, Spyro the Dragon included. We've seen Spyro Reignited Trilogy in action already, which contains remakes of first three games in one package. One of the biggest aspects fans fell in love with was the unique soundtrack. And during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, developer Toys For Bob announced that Stewart Copeland--the original series composer, and drummer from The Police--is returning to remaster the soundtrack.

Players will be able to switch between the remastered tracks and the original versions in the options menu, in case they get the itch to listen to the old tracks. A brand-new intro song called "Tiger Train" also channels the spirit of series' prog-rock vibe.

Copeland himself express enthusiasm for returning to the franchise after all these years, and stated, "Creating new music for the Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been incredibly fun and nostalgic for me. Seeing how the fans loved the original series and soundtrack was a very heart-warming experience 20 years ago, and being able to revisit that fun with the new game has brought things full circle."

Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon are all remade with high-resolution graphics and artwork for Reignited Trilogy. All games will stay true to the originals in terms of gameplay and level design while visuals will showcase Spyro in an entirely new, modern light. You can get your hands these games on September 21 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

We're covering Comic-Con 2018 from all different angles; be sure to read all our news for movies, games, anime, and everything in the world of entertainment.

Comic-Con 2018: George RR Martin's Nightflyers TV Adaptation Gets First Trailer

By Anonymous on Jul 21, 2018 12:26 am

Nightflyers is a novella by George RR Martin, writer of the Song of Ice and Fire series which was adapted into HBO's Game of Thrones. Now, Nightflyers is being adapted into a TV show, and Syfy released the first trailer for it at Comic-Con.

The novella was very well received, winning several awards and accolades including the Hugo award for best novella. It follows a group of scientists as they embark on a mission to find a race of alien nomads. The group gets on the Nightflyer spaceship, ready to explore, unaware that the man who captains their ship is murderously insane.

The trailer as well as the plot summary that Syfy has released offers a similar premise but with a bit of a twist. The earth is dying and the scientists are on a mission to find aliens who they believe can help. It doesn't mention anything about a crazy captain, but instead suggests that whatever they're looking for in space isn't nearly as frightening as whatever--or whoever-- is already on the ship with them.

The show is described as a psychological thriller, and there are some clips of what looks like hallucinations driving people insane, so I'd say we're in for a bit of a scare. Starring Eoin Macken (Resident Evil: The Final Chapter), Nightflyers will premiere this fall on Syfy.

Comic-Con 2018: New Zombies Trailer For Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Revealed

By Anonymous on Jul 21, 2018 12:25 am

Activision has shared another new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Zombies mode during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con. While the previous video focused on Voyage of Despair and IX, this one provides a new look at the third Zombies episode that will be available at launch, Blood of the Dead.

Unlike the other two episodes, which star new protagonist Scarlett Rhodes on a quest to find her missing father, Blood of the Dead is billed as a "reimagined fan-favorite Zombies experience." This chapter takes the classic Zombies heroes Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, and Nikolai to a secret lab beneath Alcatraz, where they encounter a "familiar enemy Hell-bent on imprisoning them for all eternity." You can watch the trailer above.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Zombies mode was first unveiled during the game's big reveal event back in May. During that event, we learned that the mode will also feature seasonal events called Callings, as well as daily, monthly, and yearly events. Players will be able to tackle the mode either with friends or AI companions.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 12. The upcoming installment won't feature a traditional single-player campaign, but players will be able to take on a series of solo missions that revolve around each of its Specialist characters. The game will also have a battle royale-style mode called Blackout, which developer Treyarch says will feature the biggest map the studio has ever created.

Before its release, Activision will host a series of beta tests for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The Private Multiplayer Beta takes place in August and gives players a chance to try out a handful of modes, including Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, and the brand-new Control. A separate beta for the aforementioned Blackout mode will also be held in September. Additional details on that test will be announced later.

By Anonymous on Jul 21, 2018 12:25 am

FX is hosting a panel for its upcoming Sons of Anarchy spin-off, Mayans MC, this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con. In the meantime, the company has given fans another look at the highly anticipated biker drama with a new trailer, which introduces the cast and sets the tone for the series. Spoilers for Sons of Anarchy follow.

Mayans MC takes place after the death of Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) in Sons of Anarchy. The series is set on the California/Mexico border and follows Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes (JD Pardo), an ex-con struggling to "carve out his new outlaw identity in a town where he once was the golden boy who had the American Dream within his grasp."

EZ is a prospect for the Mayans, a rival charter of the Sons. The cast also features Edward James Olmos (Blade Runner, Battlestar Galactica, Dexter), Sarah Bolger, Clayton Cardenas, Richard Cabral, Michael Irby, Raoul Trujillo, Antonio Jaramillo, and Carla Baratta.

Mayans MC is co-created by Elgin James (Lowriders) and Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter, who will return to the universe as an executive producer on the series. The first two episodes are directed by Norberto Barba (Preacher).

The first season of Mayans MC is scheduled to premiere on FX on September 4 and will consist of 10 episodes. For more news, trailers, and announcements from Comic-Con, be sure to check out our complete SDCC 2018 coverage below.

Comic-Con 2018: The Walking Dead Season 9 Teaser Trailer Hints At Uneasy Truce

By Anonymous on Jul 21, 2018 12:24 am

At San Diego Comic-Con 2018, AMC showed a new teaser for The Walking Dead Season 9. It's a short one but provides plenty of setup for the next stage in Rick and the gang's fight for survival. The trailer begins with Merle traveling with Maggie.

The real meat of the trailer is in a bit of dialogue delivered by Michonne. "We need to start talking about making some rules," she says. "An agreement between all the communities. Like, 'This is how we treat each other. And this is what happens when we don't.'" A sign shows directions to HQ, Oceanside, Alexandria, Sanctuary, and Toledo, and although the communities are living close together, it seems this truce is uneasy.

Of course, there's a quick shot of Merle delivering a vicious looking punch, so you can expect there will be plenty of drama ahead. The Walking Dead Season 9 is set to premiere later this year with a new showrunner at the helm. Angela Kang is taking over from Scott Gimple, and it was also recently revealed Season 9 will be the final one for Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick.

Lincoln is expected to be in just a few episodes of Season 9, as will in a handful of episodes in the new season, as will Lauren Cohan, who has played Maggie since Season 2. Earlier this year it was reported that Cohan was holding out on signing the contract for Season 9 so she could improve her deal. Although she eventually agreed to appear in the season, it was only for six episodes. She is also filming the ABC drama Whiskey Cavalier.

The Walking Dead Season 9 premieres on October 31. Viewership for Season 8 was well down from the record-breaking audience numbers that it has enjoyed in the past, but the show maintains a healthy audience. You can read about Everything We Know About The Walking Dead Season 9 here.

Comic-Con 2018: Cool New Spider-Man PS4 Pro Bundle Announced

By Anonymous on Jul 21, 2018 12:17 am

San Diego Comic-Con is now underway, and while Marvel may not have a big movie presence at this year's event, we did get some more news on the upcoming PS4 exclusive Marvel's Spider-Man. Along with a new trailer, Sony unveiled a beautiful Spider-Man-themed PS4 Pro bundle during the big convention.

The limited-edition bundle includes a red, 1 TB PS4 Pro console with the Spider-Man symbol emblazoned on the center; a matching wireless DualShock 4 controller; a physical copy of the Spider-Man game; and a download code for the City That Never Sleeps DLC. You can take a look at photos of the special edition console below.

The Spider-Man PS4 Pro bundle is scheduled to launch alongside the game on September 7, and it retails for $400. Sony hasn't revealed how many will be available, so if you're interested in picking one up, you'll likely want to pre-order the bundle to ensure you get your hands on one before supplies run out. The bundle is available for pre-order now on Amazon.

In addition to the bundle announcement, Sony shared a new trailer for Spider-Man during Comic-Con. The cinematic video sets the stage for the game's story and introduces another villain that Spider-Man will have to contend with: Silver Sable.

We got to go hands-on with Spider-Man at E3 2018 and came away very impressed by Insomniac's take on the iconic hero. GameSpot's Randolph Ramsay said the studio has "nailed" the sensation of swinging around a city and he has "high hopes that Insomniac's take on Spider-Man may be one the best game experiences we've had with the webslinger."

Comic-Con 2018: PS4's Spider-Man Gets Story Trailer, Bonus Pre-Order Suit Revealed

By Anonymous on Jul 21, 2018 12:16 am

As San Diego Comic-Con gets its gears going, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man thought it'd be a great idea to stop by. Marvel's Spider-Man received a new story trailer during the convention. In addition to the trailer, the official Marvel Twitter account revealed the third pre-order bonus: the Velocity Suit designed by artist Adi Granov.

But the goodies didn't stop there. Marvel's Spider-Man--developed by Insomniac Games, the studio responsible for Sunset Overdrive and Ratchet & Clank--will also see a PlayStation 4 Pro bundle, as announced in a separate trailer during SDCC 2018. This limited edition PS4 Pro bundle is expected to launch on September 7, 2018--the same day as the game--and will include a custom-painted red 1 TB PS4 Pro with the Spider-Man logo on it, a red-and-white DualShock 4 controller, a physical copy of Marvel's Spider-Man, and a download code for the City That Never Sleeps DLC.

Last month, we were able to get an exclusive hands-on look at the game. In his impressions, Randolph Ramsay wrote that "the impressive feeling of inertia and the fluid nature of combat [had him] in high hopes that Insomniac's take on Spider-Man may be one the best game experiences we've had with the webslinger."

SDCC 2018: Dragon Ball Super: Broly Movie Trailer Reveals Some Big Fights

By Anonymous on Jul 21, 2018 12:16 am

During its San Diego Comic-Con 2018 panel, Funimation premiered a trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Broly. The movie, which is the first in the Dragon Ball Super series and the 20th Dragon Ball anime film overall, was announced earlier in the month and confirmed for a Western theatrical release shortly after. The trailer shows off Broly, the main villain, as well as some other characters and who might be fighting who.

You can watch the Japanese version of the trailer below (we will update this story when the English-language trailer is available). It includes Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, and Frieza--including Golden Frieza--and shows Broly fighting Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza in separate battles. The trailer ends with a mysterious look at a Saiyan tail.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3

According to a previously released message from Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, the film will feature "fierce combat" as well as "the paths of destiny that lead to an encounter between Goku, Vegeta, and Broly." The note also indicates that "[Dragon Ball Super: Broly] involves the Frieza Force and the history of the Saiyans, which end up having a major connection to everything. The story content turns out to be very large-scale and dramatic."

Dragon Ball Super: Broly is coming to North American theaters in January 2019, a month after the Japanese release. It picks up after the Dragon Ball Super anime series, which began in 2015 and recently ended (though the English dub is still going). If you're looking to stream the series ahead of the new movie, see our feature on how to watch Dragon Ball.

Best Cosplay From Comic-Con 2018 Day 1

By Anonymous on Jul 21, 2018 12:09 am

We're partway into summer, and that means it's time for San Diego Comic-Con 2018. The specifics of what's on display may be different for 2018, but as always, the show remains the year's big event for revealing news and trailers for movies, TV shows (Clone Wars!), comics, and even some video games. And because SDCC is an event that's open the public--including the most hardcore fans of those aforementioned shows, movies, and so on--that means it's home to a ton of cosplay.

SDCC 2018 has only just begun, but we've already seen a tremendous amount of excellent cosplay. Attendees came out dressed as their favorite characters from a wide variety of games, comics, and movies, and we've gathered together a selection of the best from Day 1 for you to peruse above.

You'll find Marvel's big-name heroes, like Iron Man and Gamora, as well as slightly more eccentric characters from the company's roster, like Thor Ragnarok's Grandmaster. Game of Thrones was represented by the likes of the Night King, while on the video game side, we got Team Fortress 2's Pyro and company. There's quite a variety, so check out all of our photos and stay tuned for more.

Thursday featured more than just cosplay, though. There were panels for some big-name series, including a 10th anniversary panel for Breaking Bad that brought some exciting news for Better Call Saul fans. We also got a trailer for DC's Titans, while perhaps the most exciting news of the day came from the Star Wars panel, where we learned that more of The Clone Wars is on the way. A total of 12 new episodes will premier through Disney's upcoming streaming service.

For much more, hit the links below, and come back to GameSpot for even more coverage of SDCC, which runs through July 22.

Comic-Con 2018: Marvel's Iron Fist 2 Gets Netflix Release Date, Teases Daughters Of The Dragon

By Anonymous on Jul 21, 2018 12:00 am

Iron Fist Season 2--or Iron Fist 2 for short--will arrive on Netflix on September 7, the streaming company announced during its Iron Fist panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2018. The new season will feature fight choreography by Creed and Black Panther choreographer Clayton Barber, and will guest star Simone Missick as Misty Knight and Alice Eve (from Star Trek: Into Darkness) as villain Typhoid Mary, next to Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing) and Finn Jones (Danny Rand)--all of whom were in attendance on the panel.

Netflix also showed footage from Iron Fist Season 2 during the panel. In one short clip (watch it above), Rand puts his fighting skills to use stopping an alleyway robbery. In a voiceover, he says, "A war is brewing. This is my city now. It's my duty to protect it. And I'm not letting it down."

Jeph Loeb, the head of Marvel Television, said one of their goals was to "up the game" in terms of the show's fight choreography in Season 2. In an exclusive clip, Rand fought a whole crew of bad guys, showing off a crisp new style of action for the show.

The clip showed Rand standing in the middle of the street with a cloth mask over the bottom half of his face, wearing a hoodie. Rand holds up his hand, and a truck stops in the middle of the road. The driver guns it, and Rand sidesteps, iron-fisting the truck's front end and knocking the wheels off. He beats up everyone in the truck, dodging gunfire, and ends the fight by iron-fisting the ground, knocking all his opponents down and setting off nearby car alarms.

Henwick went on to tease the Daughters of the Dragon, a fan favorite duo consisting of Colleen Wing and Misty Knight. Another exclusive clip showed Misty and Colleen fighting together, before breaking off into separate battles. Misty uses her metal arm to knock an assailant off a motorcycle, while Colleen fights off two other skilled women inside.

Yet another clip showed the two engaged in a fight with the machete-wielding Typhoid Mary, Eve's character, a comics villain who's new to Marvel's live action universe.

"Seeing these two badasses together, I think these fans are going to love," Henwick said during the panel.

Missick compared her place in Iron Fist Season 2 with Colleen's role in Luke Cage Season 2. "Misty comes to Iron Fist season 2, where Colleen is kind of in a similar headspace [to Misty in Luke Cage Season 2]; she's not really sure where she is in the world, where she fits in terms of helping her community, and Misty's there to tell her to pick herself up," Missick said. "And there's no BS between these two; it's not like them sitting on the couch like, 'Oh my god, what's up with you and Danny?'...That's the best thing about these two women's relationship."

Another clip, a flashback set inside K'un-Lun, showed Danny and Sacha Dhawan's character Davos facing each other in an extremely brutal ritual fight meant to determine which of them would face the infamous dragon and become the Iron Fist. In the clip, the two donned familiar-looking yellow masks, eliciting cheers from the crowd. By the fight's end, both characters are covered in blood. In a separate clip, Davos's fist appeared to light up--another tease for comics fans.

All of the footage shown seemed like a significant step up from Iron Fist Season 1, which famously did not receive a warm reception from most fans or critics, especially when compared with Netflix's other Marvel shows. We'll see if the entire new season maintains this heightened quality when Iron Fist Season 2 arrives on Netflix September 7.

Comic-Con 2018: The Walking Dead Creator All But Confirms Andrew Lincoln's Departure

By Anonymous on Jul 20, 2018 11:42 pm

Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead comic books, recently all but confirmed the exiting of Andrew Lincoln from the show. Rumors have been flying around recently that the Walking Dead star will be leaving after the upcoming season and while Kirkman didn't definitively say yes or no, Variety reports that he did say, "It's looking that way."

Kirkman was being interviewed at Comic-Con by IMBD when he said, "It does make the difference between the comic and the show more pronounced. But at the end of the day, it's all about Andrew Lincoln."

Lincoln has been leading the show since the very first episode, and despite what you may think given Rick's southern drawl, Lincoln is actually based in England, and has to leave his family every year to film in Georgia. Kirkman added, "This is a human being. This is someone I've known for almost a decade, somebody that I love. He's been sweating in Georgia away from his family for so long."

With all signs pointing to Lincoln's departure from The Walking Dead, fans are wondering how the show will cope without its main character. Lincoln's exit is not the only cast shakeup coming to the show in the near future, as Lauren Cohen who plays Maggie will reportedly only feature in six episodes this season, and Norman Reedus is rumored to be negotiating with AMC to take up a larger role in the show. Season 9 premieres in October.

AMC released a teaser for Season 9 of The Walking Dead and a teaser for Season 4 (part two) of Fear the Walking Dead at Comic-Con on Thursday.

Fallout 76: Release Date And Everything We Know (So Far)

By Anonymous on Jul 20, 2018 11:31 pm

Only a couple years after Fallout 4's release, Bethesda surprised fans by officially announcing Fallout 76, the next entry in its beloved post-apocalyptic RPG franchise. The new game was revealed in a trailer after a series of teases, and Bethesda discussed it in more detail at E3 2018. While there's still so much we do not yet know about Bethesda's upcoming game, the company has offered some clarity on Fallout 76's most curious features and additions to the Fallout formula.

To ensure you're kept up to date on everything there is to know about Fallout 76, we've compiled all the information we have on the game so far: the platforms it's on, its online functionality, its anti-griefing features, and where the game falls in the series' timeline.

What is Fallout 76?

Fallout 76 is a prequel to all of the previous Fallout games. Set in 2102, you play an inhabitant of Vault 76 who emerges from the shelter 25 years after the bombs fell on America. Your task is simple: explore what remains of post-apocalyptic America and rebuild civilization.

Longtime fans will likely recognize Vault 76; although it's not a place we've visited before, this isn't the series' first mention of it. Both Fallout 3 and 4 reference it and, according to the Fallout Wikia, this West Virginia-based vault was occupied by 500 of of America's best and brightest minds. Unlike the more grotesque experimental vaults in the Fallout universe, Vault 76 is a control vault intended to be opened 20 or so years after a nuclear war. But if the Vault was supposed to open 20 years after the bombs fell, why have 25 years gone by? The story likely has a few surprises in store.

Fallout 76 uses the Creation Engine, the same engine used to make Fallout 4, but it will purportedly feature much more graphical detail than its predecessor. Game director Todd Howard has said that Fallout 76 has new rendering and lighting technology, which allows for "16 times" the detail.

Is It An Online Survival Game?

Fallout 76 is a much different sort of game from its predecessors. It's "entirely online," but don't worry, you'll be able to play it solo too. According to Bethesda, the idea to take this approach to open-world survival came four years ago, when it started to work on building a multiplayer Fallout experience. Howard described the game's approach to survival as "softcore," which means death doesn't equal loss of progression.

You can form a party with up to three other players. You won't be able to manage your placement in servers when you login, as you'll automatically be inserted into a session with others upon booting up the game. Of course, you also have the option simply join alongside your friends and play together.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2Gallery image 3Gallery image 4Gallery image 5Gallery image 6Gallery image 7Gallery image 8Gallery image 9Gallery image 10

Howard commented that Fallout 76 will have dedicated servers that will support the game "now and for years to come." At launch, there will only be public servers, but Bethesda plans to introduce private servers that will allow players to invite friends to play in order to prevent undesirable behavior. According Bethesda Senior Vice President Pete Hines, it will actually be incredibly difficult to participate in ill-behavior. For instance, the game's PvP works more like issuing a challenge to somebody, preventing folks from pushing any attempts at griefing too far.

Some classic mechanics from past games will be changing to accommodate the shift to online play. For example, V.A.T.S has been reconfigured to work in real time, while still allowing players to target specific enemy body parts.

How Big Is The World?

According to Howard, Fallout 76's world is four times the size of Fallout 4. There are six different regions to explore, and each has its own unique style, risks, and rewards. Confirmed areas include the West Virginia State Capitol, The Greenbrier, Woodburn Circle, New River Gorge Bridge, and Camden Park. Contained within each area is a variety of new creatures to encounter, some of which are based on West Virginian folklore.

What Can You Do?

Like previous games, players will spend the majority of their time exploring and completing quests. However, Fallout 76 will not feature any human non-player characters, as all surviving humans will be controlled by active players. Instead, the game will use combination of robot NPCs, collectible recordings, and environmental storytelling in order to give players what they need to piece together quests and the story at large.

Given the game's premise of rebuilding the world, there will be base-building elements similar to Fallout 4. You will be able to set up a bases anywhere using an item called the Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform, or CAMP. These can be placed down in the world and allow you to construct an impromptu camp. At E3, we got to see the player laying down walls and decorating the base with pool tables, toilets, and other household objects. As the "mobile platform" part of the name implies, your CAMP can also be picked up and relocated, allowing you to move your base anywhere in the world.

No Caption Provided

While you can help build the world, you can also destroy it. If you have the necessary nuclear launch codes, it's actually possible to access a missile silo to fire a nuke at any point on the map. Doing so irradiates the chosen area, but it also allows for the opportunity to discover rare weapons, gear, and items. Be wary; nuking an area also causes more powerful enemies to show up, making it more difficult to survive.

As an online experience, player choice is said to be incredibly important, going as far as giving players the freedom to choose who are the heroes and who are the villains. Early footage showcased multiple players engaging in combat and participating in friendly activities, which seems to indicate that players have the freedom to choose their paths in the world of Fallout 76.

Who's Developing It?

Bethesda Game Studios, the Maryland-based developer responsible for the Elder Scrolls series and both Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, is at work on the game. In addition, Bethesda Game Studios Austin--formerly BattleCry Studios--assisted in fine-tuning the Creation Engine to support multiplayer functionality.

Release Date

Fallout 76 is being developed for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and is currently scheduled to be released on November 14. Howard confirmed that a beta is scheduled to occur sometime before the game's release, but no further details have been announced.

Unfortunately, there's no word about a Nintendo Switch release, which didn't seem out of the question after the Skyrim re-release made it to that platform.

A second special operations mission--this one featuring Rainbow Six Siege--is headed to Ghost Recon Wildlands. In a new teaser trailer, we got a small peek at what the next mission will contain. We'll get a full reveal on July 23.

While the trailer says very little about what's to come with The Badge Special Operation 2 mission, it does give us a good look at what it might center around. The trailer shows off a multitude of different badges from the Wildlands universe, ending with one centered around Rainbow Six Siege.

"As a soldier, the badges you collect tell the story of a journey. They're a record of the places you've been, of the battles you've fought," the trailer's narrator says. "They commemorate your victories and your hardships. They're a memorial to the enemies you've defeated and the friends you made along the way."

In the first crossover event, we saw the world of Splinter Cell enter the ranks of Wildlands. That update released earlier this year and allowed players to interact with series legend Sam Fisher, among other things.

Right now, we don't know if The Badge will be included with the previously revealed second special operations update. This new update will continue the momentum from the first one and drop on July 24. There will be a new theme and PVE experiences, as well as a new Ghost War update, and the brand-new permadeath multiplayer mode Ghost Mode.
