Promotional videos encouraging fans to preorder an upcoming game are generally pretty formulaic: Show off the game with a cinematic or gameplay, remind people of the release date, done. This new one for the Square Enix-published Nier: Automata goes a different route.
As you can see below, the video features game director Yoko Taro in his signature mask along with Platinum Games designer Taura Takahisa. The latter is wearing a special Emil t-shirt, which Taro says you'll receive by preordering Automata (or getting your hands on the Day One edition) for PS4 in Europe. That's when the standard marketing handbook goes out the window.
Taro hands Takahisa the microphone and proceeds to steal the shirt, then rolls around on the ground with it while repeating, "Nier: Automata t-shirt!" over and over. He then punctuates all of this by saying, "S*** Square Enix."
The preorder/Day One edition offer is only available through select retailers in Europe, including Amazon UK. At least at this point, it doesn't appear to be available in North America; Amazon US only lists digital bonuses for picking up the Day One edition. These include the Machine Mask accessory, Grimoire Weiss Pod, Play System Pod skin, Retro Grey Pod skin, Retro Red skin, and Cardboard Pod skin.
In conjunction with the New York Toy Fair this weekend, toy company Funko has announced the next series of Borderlands Pop figures and more.
Posted to the Funko blog, the images show a number of mock-ups for the toys, including Emperor Claptrap, Tiny Tina, Lilith the Siren, and Zero, as well as a Rock Candy figure for Mad Moxxi.
All of these figures are "coming soon," though Funko did not announce any specific dates. You can see them all in the gallery above.
As for the Borderlands series, Gearbox president Randy Pitchford confirmed Borderlands 3 in April 2016 during PAX East. "Obviously, there is going to be another Borderlands," he said at the time, explaining that it may not be called that.
The Final Fantasy VII Remake is in development for PlayStation 4, while Kingdom Hearts III is in the works for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Square Enix hasn't announced release dates for either.
"Last year, I didn't put out much information on either title, but this year I want to show our progress at an event somewhere," he said. "The release of the titles themselves have still have a way to go. But there are many titles releasing this year, if you can wait for any 'surprises.'"
The first teaser for the new Hulu series Castle Rock has arrived. The show, which is based on the works of writer Stephen King and produced by JJ Abrams and his Bad Robot studio, gets its name from the town Castle Rock that is referenced in a number of King's novels. The first teaser contains references to Shawshank Redemptioni, It, and Misery, among others.
"The anthology will weave together characters and themes from those novels that use the Castle Rock location," according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Each season will follow a different set of characters and storylines while interjecting themes and specific characters from previous seasons."
There is no word yet on how many episodes will be in the first season, when it will arrive, or who will star in it. This being a story from Stephen King, you can bet it's going to be scary.
JJAbrams and I want to invite you to take a trip to Castle Rock. Soon. Be afraid.https://t.co/n1MJWSpv8Z
Big news for Star Citizen, as developer Cloud Imperium Games has released the next major update for the ambitious PC space game. Alpha 2.6.1 is out now, the developer announced on its website.
The patch is mostly focused on bug fixes for Star Marine, Arena Commander, and Crusader. But that's not all it does.
"It also includes a number of 'quality of life' improvements for the game, updates to Spectator Mode, new implementations of our continuing network code updates, a brand new version of the Super Hornet, and the first implementation of our Multi-Region Server Support," Cloud Imperium said.
As announced previously, Star Citizen's Multi-Region Server system lets players choose between servers in the US, Europe, and Australia; this should hopefully lead to better network connections.
With the update applied, players should see "2.6.1-506099" in their launcher. The studio added that people are advised to delete their USER folder for the Star Citizen Live client.
"The USER folder can be found (in default installations) at C:\Program Files\Cloud Imperium Games\StarCitizen\Public," the developer explained.
Star Citizen is the most successful crowdfunded project of any kind in history, with more than $143 million contributed to the campaign so far.
Here are the full patch notes for Alpha 2.6.1, as posted on the Star Citizen website:
Game Systems:
Arena Commander Balance Changes
To unify scoring with Star Marine, player kills are now scored separately to Vehicle Damage.
Revenge kills and Resurgence awards have been removed from Arena Commander for the moment.
Lowered the spawn rate of pirates in Pirate Swarm slightly to provide a less drastic difficulty curve.
Improved the weapons issued to the Aces in Pirate Swarm mode.
The number of missiles and countermeasures awarded from pickups in Arena Commander game modes have been lowered.
Only currently dead players will be resurrected after a boss wave in Multiplayer Pirate or Vanduul Swarm, no additional lives will be provided.
This is to better balance the modes now that repair and restock pickups are available in the game mode.
Suicide in Arena Commander now carries a score of -200 points.
Updated the shields and fuel for the Constellation variant in Pirate Swarm.
Star Marine Balance Changes
Revenge kills and Resurgence awards have been removed from Star Marine for the moment.
In-match loadout customization is now implemented!
During a Star Marine match, while your character is dead, you will have the option to change out your loadout before respawning.
Additional dialog lines during matches have been added.
FPS weapons have received a balance pass to improve viability.
Added a +25 Hemorrhage scoring bonus for causing another player to bleed.
This bonus is not awarded if you cause yourself to bleed.
Multiple changes have been made to both OP Station Demien and Echo Eleven maps.
These changes are to help prevent spawn camping and balance times between control points, as well as plugging up exploits.
Leaderboards
In-game leaderboards are now implemented for both Arena Commander and Star Marine, so you can now review your standings in any given game mode within the game client!
Spectator Mode and Camera Changes
With 2.6.1, we have made vast improvements to camera behavior and now allow players to enter our Pure Spectator Mode.
Pure Spectator Mode can now be entered through Private lobbies by starting a match by checking the "Join as Spectator" box next at the bottom of the screen.
There are new cinematic submodes available to Spectator Mode, including First Person View and Focused Action Cam.
Cinematic cameras, in and out of Pure Spectator Mode, should now better align with the player you are watching.
This includes ensuring your target is facing upright, and behaving appropriately when encountering walls or barriers.
Cameras should now properly Save and Load views regardless of map or mode type excluding Crusader.
Advanced Camera Controls have been improved to be more precise and smoother in transition.
Fixed an issue where players could not move or adjust their camera if they died while exiting their ship.
Made saving and loading of cameras persist between game sessions.
Ships:
The Super Hornet has received a full visual update, encompassing art, animation, damage states, and VFX.
Ship weapons, mounts, and turrets have received a health buff so they won't be as easily destroyed by splash damage.
The jerk levels of ships should now better scale with boost.
Ship SCM speeds have been re-adjusted to provide a greater range of speed between ships.
Projectile speeds have been tweaked, so that targeting pips of different weapon types will be closer together for easier targeting.
The Retaliator, Starfarer, and the 85x have had a pass to improve interior culling and graphic performance.
The Mustang series has had an optimization pass to improve graphical performance.
Pilot facial idle animations have been added for all ship variants!
Technical:
Groundwork aspects of our ongoing network refactor have come online – the first iteration of Network Message Ordering.
Strictly Ordered Network Messaging moves the game away from CryNetwork client-server handling of networked objects, over to our new token system with a strict priority system for managing messaging between client and server nodes.
Mega Map
The new Mega Map system allows for much quicker loading time when switching between maps.
In this initial release it will only be enabled for single player maps (Hangars and single-player Arena Commander), but we will be expanding this to include multiplayer maps in a future release.
Multi-Region Servers
We now have servers available in the US, Europe, and Australia!
You can choose what region you would like to connect to via an optional drop-down, when connecting to any multiplayer instance.
Selecting "All" will currently default to the best available region, but that will change as we build and improve on the functionality of our region support.

Developer Re-Logic has announced that its Terraria series has now passed 20 million copies sold.
This milestone was achieved at the end of 2016, the studio said in a forum post on its website (via Polygon). The $20 2D sandbox game originally launched in May 2011 for PC, before coming to mobile devices and consoles later through a partnership with publisher 505 Games.
"We owe so much of that to the amazingly strong and loyal support of each member of our community," Re-Logic said. "To say that we are ecstatic about how our little game has grown--in content, in quality, and in success--is putting it mildly!"
Re-Logic teased that the Terraria franchise has "so much life left in it."
"We cannot wait to share those plans with you in the months and years to come," the developer said.
Re-Logic shared some other stats that explain how much Terraria has grown over the years. At launch, there were around 250 items; now, there are about 3,800. There were 6 NPCs at launch and 25 now. Three bosses at launch in 2011 and 16 now. Check out more stats here on Re-Logic's website.

Each week we search and gather up the coolest comic book art you won't see in actual comics. The reason you won't is because professional artists often draw sketches for fun or commissions and post them on their websites, blogs, and Tumblrs. Some artists even arrange commissions through their sites so be sure to check them out. This is a way to see the artists working on one book draw characters from other comics or publishers.

GameSpot has a For Honor review in progress up--we'll be posting our final review once we've had a little more time to dive deep into the game's fighting mechanics. Until then, check out the roundup below. We'll continue to update this article as more final reviews come in.
"After slaying countless foes, it's clear the impact For Honor's combat has had; its fundamental tenets of discipline and restraint are bestowed upon you permanently, forever changing the way you perceive a melee-combat encounter in a game. In its highest moments, For Honor is difficult to put down. Its slow combat pace and narrative shortcomings might turn off those unwilling to take the time to dive deep into what it has to offer. However, make no mistake--those who do will be rewarded with some of the most satisfying multiplayer melee fighting conceived in recent years." -- Matt Espineli [Full review]
IGN -- 8/10
"For Honor has some dents in its shiny armor, such as the mediocre campaign, the frugal economy, and the snowballing victories in team modes. But it's hard to be mad too long when I consider that the melee combat system is second to none and a joy to learn, take your licks, and then learn some more. I could feel myself becoming a better warrior with this deep, flexible, and complete fighting system. The more I play For Honor, the more I want to play For Honor. I hope Ubisoft doubles-down on support, because it's something truly special." -- Brandin Tyrrel [Full review]
PC Gamer -- 74/100
"Outside of the fighting, however, For Honor is a needlessly bloated game. There's a lot of tediously granular customisation, a tacky free-to-play-style storefront selling in-game currency for real-world money, and a tangle of ugly, confusing menus to wrestle through before you can get into a battle. And as time goes on, and those stalwart, hardcore players continue to hone their skills, it'll be even more unwelcoming to newcomers. Stick with it, though, and you'll find a rich, tactical fighting game with wonderfully weighty combat and hidden depths to uncover. But if you want something accessible you can easily dip in and out of, you may want to swear fealty to another lord." -- Andy Kelly [Full review]
Eurogamer -- Recommended
"For Honor skews a bit too sharply towards defensive play at higher skill levels. Whatever the differences between characters, the safest approach is often to let the other person make the first move, then dodge or parry and deal out a vengeful drubbing. If the battle is not yet won, however, it's off to a bloodthirsty beginning, and it's worth bearing in mind the example of Rainbow Six: Siege - another terrific multiplayer effort from Ubisoft that wasn't all it could be at release. It's scruffier fixtures notwithstanding, this is one of the finest weapon-based fighting games I've encountered - a game of mindgames and reversals in which you'll savour nothing quite so much as a glorious defeat." -- Edwin Evans-Thirlwell [Full review]
Killing Harmony is the third main installment in the cult adventure series. It features a cast of 16 new characters trapped in a school and once again tasks you with solving murders as they happen (and playing minigames along the way).

Now, it looks like he may not direct it. According to The Hollywood Reporter's studio source, "negotiations have broken down" with Reeves.
"The possibility, however, exists that talks could resume when heads cool. The studio is intent on making the movie no matter what as the Batman franchise has proven to bigger than one person," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Reeves recently finished shooting War for the Planet of the Apes, which is now in post-production.
"There are certain characters who hold a special place in the hearts of millions. Performing this role demands focus, passion, and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require," Affleck said in January when he announced he wouldn't direct the movie.
With still a few weeks to go before it's due in theaters, reviews for Fox's newest Wolverine movie, Logan, started to show up today. To help you get an idea for if the movie is worth your time and money, we've collected some excerpts from reviews and posted them into a roundup.
Unlike the previous Wolverine movies, Logan is rated R. Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman said he took a pay cut so the movie could get the Restricted rating; Fox executives said they were worried the movie might be boring.

GameSpot
"Logan continually subverts your expectations, but in its impactful ending, it still somehow feels like the only way the movie--and Wolverine's long journey--could end. This is a film that elevates its genre, succeeding precisely because it's different, and because it strives to be the Wolverine movie fans have always wanted to see. Logan is a must-watch, and is not only a wonderful superhero movie, but a wonderful movie in its own right." -- Randolph Ramsay [Full review]
Variety
"It's Jackman who holds Logan together and gives the film its glimmer of soul. He has been playing this role, more or less nonstop, for 18 years, but he seems startlingly not bored by it. Better still, he's a more refined actor now than when he started, and in Logan he gets to play something rare in comic-book cinema: a powerhouse of animal rage who is slowly, agonizingly slipping away. By the end of the movie, he gets his muttonchops back and reminds you, once more, of what's great about this character--his hellbent quality, embodied in those flesh-ripping kills that are his way of making good on a mutant destiny he never asked for.
"No X-Men movie will ever be great (the material is too derivative), but Jackman, though he's the Superman of the bunch, has gone deeper into the alienation than any other mutant in the series. The end of Logan is genuinely touching, as Jackman lets you feel the character's strength and pain, and-- finally--his release." -- Owen Gleiberman [Full review]
"Even as the film's energy drains in the later going, much like Logan's healing powers, and long after the fight scenes have lapsed into overkill, Jackman makes his superhero the real deal. The actor, who reportedly conceived the basic thrust of the story, takes the ever-conflicted Logan/Wolverine to full-blooded depths, and the result is a far more cohesive and gripping film than his previous collaboration with Mangold, 2013's The Wolverine." -- Sheri Linden [Full review]
Empire
"Yes, the Wolverine movie without 'Wolverine' in the title is definitely the best one yet: grown-up, ballsy, character-driven and grounded. It feels right that it should be the last one, but it also feels a bit of a shame." -- Dan Jolin [Full review]
Time
"The themes of Logan are ragingly topical, pointing in the direction of things that every decent American should care about right now. But themes aren't feelings or attributes or actions; they're almost not even ideas. They're not the explosions that shake you to the core, like the thunder of unease you feel after you've watched a movie like Alfonso Cuaron's Children of Men, or that picture's natural predecessor, Ingmar Bergman's Shame. They're just things you make movies about.
"The great political movies of our time are yet to be made, and they will come. Logan, by either luck or prescience or some combination of both, feels political, but it's really just business as usual in the comic-book-movie game. It sounds the alarm about how dark the world really is, as if we were incapable of reading between the panels on our own." -- Stephanie Zacharek [Full review]
IGN
"Logan is in many ways an emotional, heavy picture, but it's also an uplifting one that reminds us that it's okay to fight for something more, something better. It's an amazing swan song for the Wolverine character, and for Jackman, and perhaps the best X-Men movie yet." -- Scott Collura [Full review]
USA Today
"Jackman has never been short on machismo, muscles or charisma in this role, and he brings all those to bear, plus a lot of heart, giving the surly icon a sendoff fans won't soon forget." -- Brian Truitt [Full review]
The Verge
"Of all the X-Men movies to date, it's the saddest and most serious, and the one that most challenges the familiar ideas of superhero narratives. But its uniqueness and its complete devotion to tragedy makes it feel like the most adult story this film series has ever told. The weight of graphic, grotesque violence hangs over the entire movie. But the daring emotional violence lingers longer, well after the lights go down on the final shot." -- Tasha Robinson [Full review]
Logan is a welcome rarity in the ever increasing pantheon of superhero movies; it's one that has emotional weight. This third Wolverine solo outing and 10th X-Men film overall is atypical of both the genre and it's own franchise, and it's one that longtime fans of the character will love thanks to how closely it hews to the most iconic, brutal imagining of its title character. But even for those who have never been fans of the X-Men films, Logan is still an eminently worthwhile movie, skipping as it does the fantastical trappings of its peers to instead present a grim, violent, emotional, and altogether worthwhile experience.
Logan makes its intentions to buck superhero conventions clear from its opening scene. When we first see Logan (also known as Wolverine, or James Howlett, or Hugh Jackman in real life), he's asleep in a car, but is soon woken by a gang trying to steal the tires from his ride. The ensuing fight is neither pretty or flashy; Logan is slow, groggy, and limping, and when he finally does rouse the strength to dispense of his foes, it's brutal, bloody, and hard to watch. Afterwards, he stumbles to a roadside gas station bathroom to clean himself, and we see his scars, his wounds, his aging frame. This is not the ripped, impossibly quick to heal Wolverine of old. This is a broken man.
The world set up in previous X-Men movies is broken, too. Set in 2029, Logan's world is one where mutants are all but extinct, where Charles Xavier's school is no more, and one where both he and Logan are eking out a meager existence along the US border near Mexico. Logan drives a limousine for a living, while Xavier's deteriorating mental condition forces him to be under sedation for long periods of time, lest his immense psychic powers go beyond the control of his now feeble mind. This is far from the glory days of the X-Men.
Into this mix a new element is introduced: a young girl with abilities and claws similar to Logan's, and one who's being pursued by a mercenary group led by Donald Pierce (played with a laconic Southern menace by Boyd Holbrook). Logan reluctantly agrees to help the girl (named Laura, better known as X-23 in the comics, and played by Dafne Keen), which pulls both he and Xavier back into a world of violence they had been trying to escape from. People don't really change, Pierce says at one point in the film, and it seems that despite Logan's best efforts, the Wolverine hasn't changed at all.
What is different, though, is Logan's approach to the superhero genre. This is a serious, grim world, both in its tone and its approach to on-screen violence. Wolverine's claws have never been so sharp and deadly as they are here, with his adamantium appendages severing limbs, impaling skulls, and perforating rib cages with bloody abandon. The film's R-rating is well-deserved, with the graphic nature of the battles in Logan often wince-inducing. And while the action in the movie stays relatively grounded, each of the fights are staged excitingly, with each of Logan's and X-23's stabs and slashes feeling impactful. There's even an outstanding action scene with Xavier, a stunning reminder of how dangerous the world's most powerful mind can be when it goes off the rails.
But over and above its brutality, Logan excels because of its commitment to its characters, and the wonderful, resonant arcs they go through in this painful yet affecting story. The full weight of the previous nine films of the franchise makes seeing two beloved characters like Professor X and Wolverine at their lowest even more affecting. Xavier (played wonderfully by Patrick Stewart)--no longer the calm, caring father figure--is barely coherent, swears like a sailor, and calls Logan a disappointment. Logan (in another outstanding turn by Jackman), for his part, just wants to escape, whether that's through the money he's trying to scrounge up to buy a boat, or through the adamantium bullet he carries with him everywhere. X-23 is on the verge of being irrevocably damaged in the same way Logan is. These three characters, in their relationships and in the way they become a family, forms the emotional core of the film, and their rough journey is one filled with surprising emotional depth.
Logan continually subverts your expectations, but in its impactful ending, it still somehow feels like the only way the movie--and Wolverine's long journey--could end. This is a film that elevates its genre, succeeding precisely because it's different, and because it strives to be the Wolverine movie fans have always wanted to see. Logan is a must-watch, and is not only a wonderful superhero movie, but a wonderful movie in its own right.
Disney's new Lion King movie has found two of its leads.
Director Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Jungle Book) announced on Twitter today that Donald Glover will voice Simba, while James Earl Jones will return as Mufasa. Jonathan Taylor Thomas voiced young Simba in the 1994 original Lion King, with Matthew Broderick portraying the adult Simba.
In September 2016, when Favreau was announced as the director of the new Lion King, Disney said it was fast-tracking the film, though no premiere date has been announced yet.
Disney has been ramping up its production of live-action versions of animated classics of late. Some other recent examples include Maleficent, Cinderella, and most recently, The Jungle Book. The next one is Beauty and the Beast movie starring Emma Watson, which comes out in March.
The new Lion King has big shoes to fill, as the original made more than $968 million at the box office and won multiple Academy Awards, in addition to a pair of Grammy Awards for its soundtrack.
Disney and Favreau are also working on The Jungle Book 2, after last year's entry made $965.8 million worldwide. There are no release dates announced for The Lion King or The Jungle Book 2.

Looking ahead, the next Injustice 2 playable character will be announced on February 23. The latest character to be confirmed for Injustice 2 was Swamp Thing. Two of the key minds behind the Legend of Zelda series have weighed in on the balance between listening to fan feedback and sticking true to what they know is good game design.
In an interview with Game Informer, Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma said there was "a gap" between what he heard from fans and what he personally wanted to do with the new game, Breath of the Wild.
"I've felt like there are ways that the game should be and I've stuck to it for a very long time. But then, right before I started developing Breath of the Wild, I realized there is a gap between fan feedback and what my strategy was," he explained.
One example he provided was that one fan told him he enjoyed Skyward Sword but wanted a game more like Ocarina of Time where he could ride on his horse in a big open world.
"And somewhere within myself, I felt the same way. So for Breath of the Wild, it's something that I definitely thought about," Aonuma explained.
Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto is also featured in the interview. He explained that that, while regular testing is important, it may not be enough on its own.
"In terms of gameplay, I've really stressed the importance of whitepaper testing or monitor testing to get feedback," he said. "But I've also conveyed to my team members that you can't just have somebody play and ask them, 'How was it?' I really think it's important to have an idea or a concept of what you want to convey in this game and what the monitor testing does is test whether that idea or concept has been conveyed. Were people able to understand it?"
Another interesting piece of insight from the interview is that Aonuma said he is personally looking forward to using the hang-glider in the game. He is afraid of heights in real life, so being able to do that from the comfort and safety of a video game is an exciting proposition.
Horizon Zero Dawn, the next big PlayStation 4 exclusive from Killzone developer Guerrilla Games, is almost here. Sony today released a new trailer that reveals precisely when the game will be available to download from the PlayStation Store.

Wolpaw had worked at Valve since 2004. News of his departure originated today from another former Valve employee, Mark Laidlaw, who left Valve last year.
We don't know what Wolpaw is doing next, though Kotaku reports that he is on the writing team for Double Fine's Psychonauts 2.
Universal Pictures announced today that the fourth film in the horror series The Purge will hit theaters on Independence Day 2018--July 4, 2018. The franchise is of course themed around politics somewhat, so that date is surely no coincidence.
Entertainment Weekly reported the release date, adding that James DeMonaco, who has been behind the camera for the first three films, is not returning to direct the fourth. He will write the script, but a new director will take over. This person has not been named as of yet.
The three previous films, The Purge (2013), The Purge: Anarchy (2014), and The Purge: Election Year (2016), have combined to make almost $320 million worldwide. The budgets have been small for each, at $10 million or less, so they've been smash hits from a business perspective.
The conceit for all of the movies is that crime is legal every year for a 12-hour period as part of an event called "The Purge."
"I would actually go back and I would try to talk about how it all started. That seems the natural next chapter in this, is to say, 'Alright, we've done this trilogy. We see how it got to this point of someone trying to end it--this presidential figure. Now let's go back and see how the f**k all this came about,'" he explained.
"How did this country get to a place where we were now accepting this kind of atrocity, this terrible thing, each year? I think there's something interesting in that," he added.
Are you looking forward to the new Purge movie? Let us know in the comments below!
A new image from this year's superhero action movie Justice League has come online and it's pretty epic. Director Zack Snyder posted an image to his Vero account recently that shows Ben Affleck's Batman crashing down onto some enemies.
As Entertainment Weekly explains, Snyder's image included the mention of "C03," which is presumably a reference to the post-production studio Company 3. Snyder also wrote that he was visiting "Stefan," which is likely a reference to Stefan Sonnefeld, who worked on Batman v Superman and Wonder Woman. Go to EW to see the new Justice League image.
Justice League also stars Henry Cavil as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg. It hits theaters on November 16, 2017.

Here's a good reason to play Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare this weekend: Double XP for multiplayer. Activision announced today that it's hosting a Double XP weekend for the newest Call of Duty game starting today, February 17, and running through Tuesday, February 21 at 10 AM PT.
That's a pretty nice interpretation of the weekend; the extended time might have something to do with Monday being a federal holiday in the United States (President's Day).
After acquiring it last year, Microsoft's plans for the streaming service Beam are now coming more into focus. In an Xbox Wire post, Beam's co-founder Matt Salsamendi announced that a Beam app is available to testers in the Xbox Insider Program right now before coming to everyone in the spring. The Beam app will be available on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.
What's unique about Beam is that it calls itself an "interactive livestreaming service." That means it allows people to watch and play along with livestreams as they're happening.
Also in the Xbox Wire post, Salsamendi teased that Beam will announce more details about new "interactive capabilities" for the service at the Game Developers Conference. The show takes place February 27-March 3 in San Francisco, California.
When Lucasfilm announced the title of Star Wars: Episode VIII last month--The Last Jedi--one of the major questions that popped up was whether or not "Jedi" was to be taken as singular or plural. Now, it's apparently been confirmed that it's plural.
According to Slashfilm, international translations for the movie confirm that Jedi in the case of The Last Jedi is plural, so it's a reference to more than one Jedi. This sounds like a small detail, but it could offer some clues as to the story for The Last Jedi, like whether or not the Jedi's days are numbered.
The Last Jedi arrives in theaters on December 15, 2017. It also stars Laura Dern, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis. Carrie Fisher filmed her Leia scenes for the movie before she passed away in December.
