WWE 2K18: Who's Missing From This Year's Roster?

By Anonymous on Sep 08, 2017 11:12 pm

WWE 2K18's full roster has been revealed, and many fans of WWE have noted some marquee names missing from the October game. However, with DLC yet to be announced, there is still a chance fan-favorite stars will make their way on the roster. We picked out some wrestlers we'd love to see onto this year's roster and the chances they'll be released as DLC, starting off with current Raw and Smackdown talent.

Click here to jump ahead to 205 Live and NXT talent.

Click here to jump ahead to Legends.

You can check out the entire confirmed WWE 2K18 roster here, to see who made the cut.

The Hardy Boyz (Raw)

The biggest omission to this year's roster are the Hardy Boyz. The tag team, which got their start during the Attitude Era, has made some giant waves since returning at 2017's Wrestlemania, deleting their competition.

Could they be added as DLC? Without a doubt, we will get Matt and Jeff as DLC. Passing them up would be insane. The two came back to WWE early enough that they could have been scanned for the game, and there may be some other reason for Team Extreme to not be included with the initial game--maybe something do their characters being broken? In addition, it would be great if we could get Universe and Attitude Eras versions for the characters, since their looks have changed a bit in the past 20 years.

Elias Samson (Raw)

Please keep your cell phones down and hold your applause until after I'm finished. So who wants to walk with Elias? Well, you can't in WWE 2K18. The center-stage crooner is not available, even though he was in NXT for years with the same gimmick before coming to Raw.

Could he be added as DLC? It's more than likely we'll get to see Samson added as DLC, probably as part of a Raw/Smackdown package, alongside the Hardy Boyz. If 2K Games really wants to make things interesting, they could add an "El Vagabundo" version of the character as well.

James Ellsworth (Smackdown)

While James Ellsworth has been Carmella's manager/secondary mouthpiece for the past few months, he did compete in a few matches, including winning the first ever Women's Money in the Bank match--kidding. Considering how much screentime Ellsworth gets on Smackdown, week after week, it's puzzling not to see him included this year.

Could he be added as DLC? As unlikely as it may be for Ellsworth to be a WWE star, he will more than likely be included as either DLC or a manager--personally, I'd like to recreate his first match against Braun Strowman, over and over again.

The Singh Brothers (Smackdown)

The former Bollywood Boys teamed up with Jinder Mahal, after a fun stint during 2016's Cruiserweight Classic, back in April of this year. While the two haven't had a lot of matches in the past five months, they are a big part of the Tuesday night show.

Could they be added as DLC? Their inclusion in this year's game as DLC is more than likely, considering that they debuted during the spring and have been a part of the main card for months, even if they are just walking the champion to the ring.

Lana (Smackdown)

Lana's solo wrestling career got kicked up a notch this year as she lost time and time again to Smackdown Women's Champion Naomi. While she appeared in WWE 2K17 as a manager, we were thinking this would be her first year where she was included as a wrestler.

Could she be added as DLC? Lana may be included in this year's edition if there's a Raw/Smackdown DLC pack. The only problematic thing is that her solo run started this past June, which may have been past the cutoff point to make her into a playable character.

Maria and Mike Kanellis (Smackdown)

There's no one else on Smackdown who harnesses the power of love like Maria and Mike Kanellis. Since Maria's return to the WWE this past summer, she's been involved with her real-life husband Mike Bennett--who took her surname after their marriage--and the two have been a very entertaining part of the midcard on Smackdown.

Could they be added as DLC? Much like Lana, the two debuted over the summer; however, unlike Lana, Maria and Mike weren't part of the roster prior to that, so the chances of the two being scanned for the game are pretty slim.

Shelton Benjamin (Smackdown)

Shelton Benjamin returned to the WWE this year, after being released in 2010. Currently, he has teamed up with Chad Gable on Smackdown. Benjamin originally signed with WWE back in July 2016 but was sidelined for a year because of an injury.

Could he be added as DLC? This is a tough one, since while he was injured, Benjamin was not signed with WWE. He re-signed with the company last month, so while he'd be a great addition to WWE 2K18, the timing for him to be in it is off.

Mustafa Ali (205 Live)

2K18 introduces the cruiserweight division from 205 Live, and while there is already a good amount of talent to choose from, we think there will be even more added later as DLC. One of the most entertaining--and underrated--wrestlers in the division is Mustafi Ali, who has shown up on Raw a few times.

Could he be added as DLC? If there is a 205 Live DLC pack, Ali will be a part of it. Frankly, it's a little surprising Gran Metalik got picked over a few of the other cruiserweights.

Tony Nese (205 Live)

While many of the stars of 205 Live are high-flyers, Tony Nese is a powerhouse, which adds a great dynamic to the division. While Nese wasn't included for the main roster, he had a good sense of humor about it, tweeting, "Sorry folks, they haven't created a game engine powerful enough to render a body like mine yet."

Could he be added as DLC? Like Ali, Nese is a shoe-in for a 205 Live DLC pack, if that happens.

Drew McIntyre (NXT)

Next to the Hardy Boyz, one of the biggest omissions in 2K18 is NXT Champion Drew McIntyre. It's important to note that he very recently won the title from Bobby Roode, so he's not a long-standing champion. The former 3MB member returned to WWE back in April. The last time McIntyre appeared in a WWE game was for WWE 2K14.

Could he be added as DLC? Much like the Hardy Boyz, McIntyre will have to be part of DLC because it would be crazy not to include him, seeing as he's the champ, and he should be around for a while. In addition, there's a part of me that would love to also have a 3MB skin for him, to reunite him with Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater again.

Aleister Black (NXT)

Aleister Black is quickly becoming one of the highlights of watching NXT, which is already filled with a ton of amazing talent. After the main roster was revealed, many fans felt leaving out Black was a bad move. Who doesn't want to play as Black, even if only to watch his entrance over and over again?

Could he be added as DLC? Depending on how 2K handles the DLC for the new game, Black should be in the game. He's a rising star in the company, and there is a demand to play as him.

Ruby Riot (NXT)

The women of NXT got a lot of love this year, with Asuka, Ember Moon, Nikki Cross, Peyton Royce, and Billie Kay making the cut., However, Ruby Riot was absent, even though she signed with WWE back in January and has been a big part of the women's division.

Could she be added for DLC? NXT has a lot of great talent, and while I'd love to see Ruby Riot make her way into the game, it's a 50/50 call, unless 2K is looking to add more female NXT stars to the roster.

The Velveteen Dream (NXT)

The Velveteen Dream is what happens when the musician Prince becomes a wrestler, in the best way possible. This character made his captivating debut this past spring, and he's one of the more entertaining gimmicks currently running on NXT.

Could he be added for DLC? Sure, there are other NXT stars, like Andrade Almas, who should be included over Dream, but there's nothing more fun than playing as a wrestler with a wacky gimmick. It's a long-shot, but Dream has a lot of playability.

Pete Dunne

Drew McIntyre wasn't the only champion left of the roster for 2K18. United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne also wasn't included for this year's game. While we don't see a lot of him on TV, WWE made a big deal about this new title and the UK Championship Tournament in the past year.

Could he be added for DLC? Even though the majority of casual WWE fans aren't aware of this title nor Pete Dunne, he should still be included in the game. Like the Hardys and McIntyre, Dunne's inclusion in 2K18 is more than likely.

Jerry Lawler (Legend)

Jerry "The King" Lawler has been a part of WWE since the '90s, and prior to that, he was a wrestling legend, so why does he get skipped over, year after year? Sure, Lawler does voice the commentary team for the games, but he hasn't appeared as a playable character since WWE '12.

Could he be added for DLC? WWE 2K17's DLC contained a Hall of Fame Showcase, which consisted of some classic matches with unlockable arenas and wrestlers. If 2K is bringing this back again, there is a chance Lawler could be included or at least we hope so. How awesome would it be if we could get to play as Lawler against comedian Andy Kaufman to recreate their feud from the early '80s? That's a bit of a stretch, but considering this series has included two versions of the Terminator, the Lawler/Kaufman match is a whole lot more plausible.

New Age Outlaws (Legend)

Oh, you didn't know that Jesse James and Billy Gunn weren't part of the roster this year? You better call somebody. When you think about WWE and the Attitude Era, you can't have a conversation about tag teams without bringing up the New Age Outlaws. However, neither of them appeared in this year's game, which is confusing because they've been a big part of the series.

Could he be added for DLC? Things get a little tricky here. If they're included in the new game, it's just repackaged characters from the year prior, which you have to pay extra for, and that's just totally bogus. It's a double-edged sword. Either we don't get them, or we have to pay for something that was in a previous game.

Vince McMahon (Legend)

In a really weird turn of events, Vince McMahon was not included in this year's edition. The man in charge of the company usually has a spot on the roster, so you can relive every moment Steve Austin beat him up, but in 2K18, he's mysteriously missing. Now, where are fans going to get their overconfident strut fix from?

Could he be added for DLC? There is no way McMahon won't be included in one of the DLC packs. Putting aside the onscreen ego of the head of WWE, he was a major player during the Attitude Era, and leaving him out, whether you like him or not, is a big mistake. Most likely, he'll be part of the Hall of Fame showcase, if 2K does that again this year. The only downside is you'd be paying extra for a character that existed in previous games.

William Regal (Legend)

William Regal is a man, such a man. He's a real man's man. Aside from Regal being a legend in both WCW and WWE, he is currently the NXT general manager. Considering the Raw and Smackdown GMs are playable characters in the game, shouldn't the NXT GM be one as well?

Could he be added for DLC? If NXT gets its own DLC pack--which it should--Regal without a doubt will be included. The only downside is that he's appeared in previous games, so fans will be paying for content that they've had before. This would be the perfect opportunity to give fans "Real Man's Man" Regal as a secondary skin.

The Dudley Boys (Legend)

The Dudleys had a fantastic return to WWE last year, but the tag team has now retired, with Bubba heading to Ring of Honor and D-Von running a wrestling school. Like Edge and Christian and the Hardys, the Dudleys were a staple for the Attitude Era. They may no longer be with the company, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be in the game, since they were a part of it last year.

Could he be added for DLC? This is a tricky one, since Bubba is still wrestling for another company. That hasn't stopped 2K from putting other wrestlers into the game in the past, but WWE tends to shy away from that. Hopefully, if and when the Hardys are included, the Dudleys will be added as well.

Owen Hart (Legend)

Owen Hart was a fantastic worker in the ring and was a really entertaining mid-carder who proved he wasn't a nugget. He has never appeared in 2K's series, and he's one of the most demanded wrestlers, year after year. Fans would love to relive his tag team days with his brother Bret or even his time with the Nation of Domination.

Could he be added for DLC? WWE fans love Owen Hart, and we'd love to see him in a new game and in the Hall of Fame. However, because of Hart's death during a live WWE event, his widow understandably wants nothing to do with the company and doesn't want him appearing in anything that has WWE on it.

Hulk Hogan (Legend)

During the '80s and '90s, Hulk Hogan was wrestling. You may have not watched during that time, but you knew his name because he was everywhere. He has been in the 2K series previously, but he's been absent the past couple of years, for good reason.

Could he be added for DLC? After a tape with the Hulkster saying some pretty nasty and racist things, WWE removed Hulkamania from its website and cut all ties with the Hulkster. Essentially, Hogan is dead to WWE. Until the two can work it out, chances are non-existent, brother.

Let us know in the comment section below which wrestlers you'd love to see in this year's game that didn't make the roster.

Destiny 2: What to Do After You're Done With The Story - GameSpot Live

Destiny 2 has been out for a few days now and a lot of guardians are probably wrapping up campaign, so we figured we would help guide you on your way after you beat the story.

Destiny 2 Clan Features Are Now Live, Here's How To Get Started

By Anonymous on Sep 08, 2017 10:42 pm

Destiny 2's new clan functionality is set to be important, as it not only allows people to form a group together, but it also serves as the backbone for the new Guided Games feature. Destiny 2 launched earlier this week without clan features activated in-game, but after a few-day wait, they've (partially) come online.

Specifically, clan progression has been activated. That means clans that have formed can begin gaining experience and working toward unlocking rewards. If you're already logged into the game, you may need to sign out and then sign back in for the functionality to show up. In order to earn XP for your clan, it will need at least two members, and you'll need to have a clan banner in your inventory. You can obtain this by talking to Hawthorne with each of your characters once you've joined a clan.

Bungie has also highlighted some other key facts about clans on its website. Clan members taking part in activities adds XP up to a maximum for the week, which is set back to zero after the weekly reset. There are also weekly milestones for additional rewards, as well as weekly clan Engrams (which require at least half of the fireteam in an activity to be members of the clan). Clans earn perks as they accumulate XP, with this level being wiped out with the seasonal reset.

While progression is available, the in-game clan roster still is not. Bungie said in a tweet that this will be coming "at a later date," but did not indicate why. Given the amount of players that have been online--necessitating the use of a server queue--it's possible that this is disabled as a means to alleviate pressure on Bungie's servers.

How Being R-Rated Made The New 'It' A Darker, Better, More Faithful Adaptation

By Anonymous on Sep 08, 2017 10:30 pm

There are some things you just can't do on TV. That fact comes into focus during the new It movie's opening minutes, when a monstrous clown visibly rips off a small child's arm with his rows of fangs. Poor little Georgie wails as he agonizingly drags himself away with his remaining hand, blood darkening the gutter water and washing down the street.

It's hard to watch, but moments like that bring It closer to Stephen King's original book than the 1990 made-for-TV mini-series ever got. And it's thanks to the movie's R-rating that the filmmakers were able to go darker than ever before.

"What jumps out at you [about the mini-series] is how much they had to hold back because they were a prime time television special," It Producer Seth Grahame-Smith told GameSpot during a group interview in Los Angeles recently. "As great as Tim Curry was, the menace, the intensity, even the language that's so pervasive in all of King's work was just restrained by the fact that they were an ABC prime time special."

"We wanted to bring the intensity that the ABC mini-series couldn't," he continued. "We knew we were going to be rated R from the beginning, and we were supported the whole way. New Line supported us the whole way, never urged us to cut to PG-13, and said, 'Alright, you're an R-rated movie starring 13 year olds.'"

Grahame-Smith said that gave all the filmmakers--including he and fellow Producer David Katzenberg, writers Chase Palmer, Cary Fukunaga, and Gary Dauberman, and Director Andy Muschietti--the "freedom" to go as dark as they wanted. That permeates It well past the opening scene, from the sociopathic school bully Henry Bowers to Bev's abuse at the hands of her father. It doesn't shy away from any of these, portraying some realistic events that are even harder to watch than the film's titular scary clown monster.

Dauberman said he didn't even revisit the 1990 version before getting to work on the 2017 It's script. "I loved the mini-series as a kid. It was a big influence [on me], but not on this in particular," he said. "So we could push it further with the scares, and we could push it further with the language of the kids."

That's true--Richie's plentiful dick jokes, delivered expertly by Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard, are uproariously funny. But that's just part of a larger theme with 2017's It: being as true as possible to the original book, even while splitting it up and adding to it wherever needed.

It is in theaters now.

Four More Free Mega Stones In Pokemon Sun And Moon Available Now

By Anonymous on Sep 08, 2017 10:22 pm

Nintendo is giving away another batch of free items for Pokemon Sun and Moon. Pokemon fansite Serebii has reported that players around the globe can now get their hands on four more rare Mega Stones.

As with previous distributions, players can download the items using a universal code. This batch consists of Mega Stones for Ampharos, Altaria, and the Legendary Dragon-type Pokemon from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Latios and Latias. None of these Pokemon can be found in the wild in Sun and Moon, however, so players will need to either transfer them from a previous title or obtain them through trading.

To get the Mega Stones, select Mystery Gift from the game's menu screen. Choose to receive you gift "via code/password," then input the code "DRACHE" when prompted. You'll be able to pick your Mega Stones up from the deliveryman waiting inside any of the game's Pokemon Centers. The Mega Stones will only be available for a limited time, so you'll want to add them to your collection soon.

This isn't the only giveaway Nintendo has lined up this month for Pokemon Sun and Moon. Beginning September 19, players can get a special Pikachu wearing Ash's hat from the anime series. There are six different Pikachu variations in all, each with a different moveset and cap, but players will only be able to acquire one of them using a code that will be shared on the Pokemon website.

Sun and Moon players will also soon have a chance to get the Mythical Pokemon Marshadow. From October 9-23, GameStop will be giving away a free code for the rare Pokemon. This brief window marks the first opportunity players have to legitimately obtain the new Legendary.

Destiny 2: All The Tips, Reviews, News, And Guides, You Need To Know At Release

By Anonymous on Sep 08, 2017 09:47 pm

Bungie's highly anticipated shooter Destiny 2 is finally here, and we'll have lots of coverage in the days and weeks ahead. For now, we're collecting all the big details to know about, including our review in progress, recent news stories, and other key particulars. You can keep checking back with this story as we learn more about the shooter.

Editor Kallie Plagge spent 20 hours playing Destiny 2 and came away feeling generally impressed and eager to keep playing. She is starting again now that the game is in a live environment and will document her progress in a Destiny 2 review diary over the next few days as she plays more. You can look for Kallie's full review in the days ahead.

Destiny 2 Review

"I haven't finished the main story yet, but so far it's a clear improvement over Destiny's much-maligned storytelling," Kallie said. "Like the beta, Destiny 2 begins with an attack on The Tower by a Cabal faction called the Red Legion. But rather than being thrust into situations with little to no context, as was so often the case in Destiny, each mission of the Red War arc has objectives that make sense within both the mission itself and the grand scheme. Locating a missing Cayde-6, for example, is important to the fight against the Red Legion, since he's a powerful Hunter. But fighting waves of Vex to get to him also makes sense, as he's trapped in a Vex teleporter, and that small bit of context makes that moment feel distinct from others where you're killing the same enemies."

For more on the initial critical reaction, check out our roundup of Destiny 2 reviews in progress.

Guides And Tips

For Destiny veterans, a lot has changed in Destiny 2, while the game will also see many newcomers to the series. Whichever boat you fall in, we'll have plenty of guides to help you succeed in the days and weeks ahead.

Starting Out

In-Depth Guides And Tips

What Systems Is It Available On?

Unlike the first Destiny, Destiny 2 is available only for new-generation consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It's also coming to PC, but not until October 24. Returning players will get rewards and a nice little memorial.

What Versions Are Available?

Destiny is available in Standard, Digital Deluxe, and a Game + Expansion Pass Bundle. The Digital Deluxe edition comes with a Legendary emote and the Cabal Empire-themed emblem. It also includes the Expansion Pass, which comes with two expansions to be released later. The Game + Expansion Pass Bundle is pretty self-explanatory.

Here are the prices:

  • Standard -- $60/£55/$100 AU
  • Game + Expansion Pass Bundle --$90/£80/$140 AU
  • Digital Deluxe -- $100/£90/$150 AU

People who pre-ordered Destiny 2 will receive the Coldheart Exotic rifle, the Kill-Tracker Ghost, and the Salute emote.

File Size

According to Destiny 2's store pages, the game weighs in at 30.9 GB on PS4 and 34.98 GB on Xbox One. The PC version's file size may end up being larger, but we don't know yet.

What Is And Isn't Available In Destiny 2 Now?

While Destiny 2's first Raid, Trials, Guided Games, and in-game Clan features are not available, you can play the full campaign and the Crucible multiplayer mode. Additionally, Destiny 2's first Nightfall Strike is available now.

The raid kicks off at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST on September 13 (3 AM AET on September 14 in Australia). Trials will become available at the same time on September 15 (16 in Australia). The in-game Clan features will go live in the next several days, Bungie said, but for now you can access Clan-management systems through Bungie's website.

The Farm Holds A Really Cool Secret

If you're willing to take a break from leveling up, the Farm social space holds an intriguing secret that you might have overlooked. [More details and mild spoilers here]

How To Kill Those Annoying Phalanx Enemies

In the original Destiny, defeating Phalanxes usually involved either chucking a grenade behind them, or shooting the tiny bit of arm visible sticking outside their shields. In Destiny 2, they've been granted a brand new weak spot, smack in the middle of those shields. Ping that glowing spot with a few shots and the shields retract, stunning the jerks in the process. [Lots more details here]

Known Issues, Technical Problems, And Server Queues

Destiny 2's release is poised to be massive, likely straining the game's servers. To allow for a better experience, Bungie is using a system MMO players are familiar with: server queues. Bungie has warned that players may not be able to immediately access the game. In order to "regulate player population to provide stable conditions for Destiny gameplay," server queues can pop up in Destiny 2 just as they could in the previous game. In other words, you may have to wait in line before you can play. Additionally, there are a number of issues to be aware of.

Five Biggest Changes In Destiny 2

Launch Is Just The Start

One of the shortcomings of Destiny 1 was that content was not released fast enough to meet players' expectations. For the sequel, Bungie is working with outside studios like High Moon and Vicarious Visions to create and release content faster. We know there are two paid expansions coming, and recently, a leak suggested the first expansion is called The Curse of Osiris and will be out in December. It'll supposedly add a patrol zone on Mercury, a social space, and a storyline centered around Osiris.

PUBG Tops 1M Concurrent Players For First Time, Crushing Almost Every Other Game On Steam

By Anonymous on Sep 08, 2017 09:12 pm

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is on a roll; after just hitting 10 million PC sales, it has now surpassed 1 million concurrent players on Steam for the first time.

At the time of this writing, PUBG hit a record peak of 1,028,275 players. It far surpassed the number of concurrent players playing Dota 2 (a regular occurrence now), but it's not high enough to snatch the all-time record from the game. Dota 2's all-team peak number of players is 1,295,114 (the highest ever recorded, according to SteamDB), so PUBG still needs to get 200K+ more concurrent players to truly unseat Dota 2 as the reigning multiplayer champion. Its creator, Brendan Greene, is confident that's a likely possibility; he suggested PUBG could hit League of Legend-level success in the future.

Keep in mind, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is still in Early Access. Despite that, it's currently way ahead of all the other top 10 games on Steam, include Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and it's also coming to Xbox One later this year, with Microsoft on board as its publisher. Developer Bluehole is leaving the possibility of other console releases open at this time.

No Caption Provided

PUBG is also about to get new features and content. An update to the game is scheduled for next week. "Some of the key features of the new build include a new weapon, foggy weather condition, FPP leaderboards, and multiple bug fixes," Bluehole said in a tweet, adding that the test servers will be up for at least two days early next week. While its release is still far off, Bluehole has also revealed more details about the PUBG's anticipated desert map, which won't be smaller than the game's first map after all.

New Splatoon 2 Update Out Now, Here Are The Patch Notes

By Anonymous on Sep 08, 2017 09:10 pm

Nintendo has released a new patch for Switch's popular online shooter, Splatoon 2. The version 1.3.0 update makes a long list of tweaks and bug fixes to the game, most notably to Salmon Run and certain weapons.

Most of the changes that have been made to Salmon Run address issues that have cropped up. Among other tweaks, Nintendo has fixed bugs that caused certain enemies to take no damage from the Sting Ray when hit in specific conditions. Also, bombs thrown by Steelhead enemies now will not land on top of Scrappers or Flyfish.

As for weapons, Nintendo has made adjustments to a number of the game's specials. The Inkjet, for instance, now has a larger hit box, giving players a better chance to shoot it down. The Sting Ray's base firing duration has been extended by .5 seconds, and continuously firing it for 1.5 seconds will now create a shockwave around the ink blast, increasing its damage radius.

We've included the full patch notes below. You can also find the list of changes on Nintendo's website. Beyond the update, Splatoon 2 players will soon be able to get their hands on the game's next free DLC weapon. The Custom Splattershot Jr. will be added to the Ammo Knights weapon shop tonight in the US and tomorrow morning in Europe. Japan's next Splatfest also kicks off this weekend and pits McDonald's fries against chicken nuggets.

Splatoon 2 Update 1.3.0 Patch Notes

Changes to Salmon Run

  • Changes made to the Sting Ray and Splashdown specials for multiplayer also apply to their use in Salmon Run.
  • Bombs thrown by the Steelhead will no longer land on top of Flyfish or Scrappers.
  • Fixed an issue causing no damage to be dealt to Steel Eels hit with a Sting Ray if the Sting Ray's shot inked any portion of the Steel Eel other than the pilot even slightly.
  • Fixed an issue preventing damage from being dealt to a Griller hit with a Sting Ray attempting to hit its weak point by shooting through it. Sting Rays that only hit the main body of a Griller will now also deal some damage.
  • Fixed an issue causing Steelheads that appeared in specific locations of the Lost Outpost stage not to attack.
  • Fixed an issue where two players attempting to pick up a single Golden Egg just prior to the end of a wave caused one of them to be unable to pick up any Golden Eggs during the following wave.
  • Fixed an issue where after playing Salmon Run online, players from your session who appeared in Inkopolis Square were always equipped with the Splattershot Jr.
  • Fixed an issue where players who disconnected just prior to starting a round of play would appear to be holding a Rainmaker-like weapon.

Changes to Splatfest

  • Fixed an issue where during a Splatfest, all players you recently played with appeared in Inkopolis Square with a Splatfest Tee with no slots filled in, regardless of the actual status of their Splatfest Tee.
  • Experience points required to fill in slots on Splatfest Tees have been changed in the following ways:
    • Slot 1 -- 4000 > 7500
    • Slot 2 -- 8000 > 7500
    • Slot 3 -- 12000 > 7500
    • Total -- 24000 > 22500

Changes to Multiplayer

  • In Ranked Battle, regarding the special gauge increasing automatically based on mode-specific conditions, until now the special gauge would fill up regardless of the points required for the main weapon being used. • Fixed an issue causing the area below where shots from a Sloshing Machine or Rainmaker hit a wall to not be inked.
  • Fixed an issue where players with the Inkbrush or Octobrush equipped occasionally dealt continuous damage to opponents when coming into contact with them on uninkable surfaces.
  • Fixed an issue causing Sponges touched by an Inkbrush or Octobrush to expand rapidly.
  • Fixed an issue where players with a Roller or Brella-type weapon equipped would temporarily be unable to recover from damage after coming into direct contact with an opponent and being knocked back.
  • Fixed an issue preventing players from damaging opponents via direct contact immediately after performing a vertical swing with a Roller-type weapon.
  • Ink splats will no longer appear on players submerged in ink when hit by a Sting Ray fired by one of their allies.
  • Fixed an issue causing shots from the Inkjet to occasionally disappear without exploding when hitting stage objects at certain angles.
  • Fixed an issue where players with active Ink Armor hit by the Splat Brella would react as though protected by the armor, but also as if they had taken damage.
  • Fixed an issue preventing ink from properly appearing on walls where the wall intersected with a grate.
  • Fixed an issue when using Spectator Mode in Private Battle that caused Squid Beakons to not be destroyed after being used.
  • Fixed an issue causing walls intersecting with grates to appear uninked when hit with the explosion from a Suction Bomb.
  • Fixed an issue causing players to clip into stage objects on Sturgeon Shipyard.

How To Unlock Destiny 2's Heroic Public Events

By Anonymous on Sep 08, 2017 09:01 pm

One of Destiny 2's many additions to existing systems is the concept of Heroic Public Events. These are harder versions of the standard Public Events you run into throughout the world and, as such, provide an opportunity to earn better loot. Unlocking them, however, is not quite as simple as pressing a button to jack up the difficulty.

The process for activating a Heroic Public Event varies from one to the next. There is a specific set of steps you (or the other players around) have to follow; these need to be repeated within the time limit each time you want to attempt a Heroic. The video above provides a step-by-step breakdown of what you need to do for each Public Event, which should make it easy to identify exactly where to go and what to do. You'll also find the instructions for each Heroic below--be mindful to do everything before the event's time limit expires. For more, check out our roundup of all of our Destiny 2 guides, tips, and news.

Injection Rig Heroic Public Event

Start out by killing a Psion, and then shoot a vent at the top of the rig. Although you'll be taking damage, be sure to destroy it. Kill the next Psion and destroy another vent located in the middle of the rig. Kill a third Psion and then destroy the vent that becomes exposed at the bottom of the rig. You may need to run around the middle in order to see which part of it has opened up to take damage. This process will cause a boss, Infiltrator Valus, to spawn, whom you'll need to defeat.

Destroy The Arsenal Walker Heroic Public Event

The goal here is to obtain the three Scorch Cannons surrounding the area, each of which is encased in a dome. As usual when dealing with a walker, attack one of its legs until it collapses. This will cause it to drop three Arc Charges, which you'll then need to carry to one of the domes containing a Scorch Cannon. The dome will have a place to deposit the Arc Charge, and you'll need to bring a total of two to each dome to get your hands on the weapon. Eventually, a second walker will be deployed, and you'll have to defeat both of them to finish.

Glimmer Extraction Heroic Public Event

At each of the sites throughout the event, there is a device that is extracting Glimmer. Destroy each of these before eliminating all of the nearby enemies. Then, at the final site, you'll have to guard a pile of Glimmer while standing in a designated area to complete a transmat process. Stay in the area as much as possible, as the transmat has to finish before time runs out.

Cabal Excavation Heroic Public Event

Stand near the drill to make progress, and eventually a Cabal Thresher ship will fly in nearby. Do everything you can to quickly destroy it, as it only sticks around for a limited time. If you manage to do so, a Centurion boss will spawn who needs to be defeated to complete the Heroic.

Witches' Ritual Heroic Public Event

Start out by killing a pair of Wizards while standing on the designated circles on the ground. At this point, you'll need to stand on one of the circles and destroy two shards--one is above and to the left of the big portal that enemies are coming through, and the other is above and to the right. This will cause a Hive Knight boss to spawn in; defeat him, and you're all done.

Ether Resupply Heroic Public Event

Before taking out the giant Servitor, quickly kill all of the smaller ones around the area. Once they've been dealt with, the main enemy becomes more challenging. Defeat it and you're done.

Taken Blight Heroic Public Event

The initial goal here is to destroy the giant Blight ball, which is immune to regular damage. In order to hurt it, you'll need to obtain the Blight Receding buff by going into the nearby Blight-infested area. Step back outside with the buff and deal as much damage as you can to the big Blight ball. Once you've destroyed it, the Blightmaker boss spawns in, and you'll have to defeat it to complete the Heroic.

Spire Integration Heroic Public Event

In addition to protecting the main conduit, players have to go around and stand on nearby pads. There are three in total that need to be captured, and once that's done, a Hydra will spawn in that needs to be defeated.

The Coolest And Craziest PC Mods

By Anonymous on Sep 08, 2017 08:30 pm

Awesome Build Vol. 2

Modder:la PCJunkie Mods and Blue Horse Studios

What makes it cool: It's a Guardians of the Galaxy-inspired PC. The heavily modified Corsair Crystal Series 460X even features a real, functioning 1970's cassette player. The icing on the cake is the fact that the two LED buttons Groot is looking at are the computer's power and reset switches. Asus has created a Make A Wish page for the build, which allows people to donate money to the foundation to get a chance to win the rig.

Aliens

Modder: Ron Lee Christianson of Blue Horse Studios

What makes it cool: This mod pays tribute to the Alien films. Ron Lee Christianson actually combined a Cooler Master HAF X case with a Cooler Master 915 chassis for the build. The Facehugger inside makes this the creepiest mod we've ever seen.

Point Blank Barrett Radeon RX 480

Modder: Suchao Modding & Design

What makes it cool: Yes, this is a PC that looks like a gun. You can see the Mini-ITX motherboard in the middle of the chassis. The radiator in the front acts as the rifle's "magazine." The red water-cooled tubes surrounding the gun is a really nice aesthetic touch.

Forklift UD Gigabyte

Modder: Suchao Modding & Design

What makes it cool: Suchao is definitely one of the more out-of-the-box modders here. As the name suggests, this Gigabyte motherboard is encased in a forklift-like chassis. Its water-cooling pipes act as a tiny chair, and the water-cooling reservoir on the back resembles a fuel tank.

Back to the Mod

Modder: Marc Molella and Bob Stewart ofBSMods

What makes it cool: Marc Molella and Bob Stewart worked together to create this Delorean-themed mod to pay tribute to the Back to the Future movies. Molella used brushed stainless steel on Cooler Master's HAF 922 chassis to match the color of the car. Stewart helped create the flux capacitor inside the case by using spark plug wires and a custom LED strip. And, yes, the doors do lift up.

Lancer Unleashed

Modder: Ali Abbas

What makes it cool: The Lancer Unleashed features a functioning chainsaw that's modeled after the famed Gears of War weapon. Ali Abbas used a bike chain with a 12 volt motor, and the mod has a battery pack so you can pick it up for a spin. The motherboard is situated within the "magazine" portion of the gun, and it's locked and loaded with a GeForce GTX 1060 GPU.

TPS-L2

Modder: The Blass Brothers of Babetech

What makes it cool: The Blass Brothers built this giant Sony Walkman mod to pay tribute to the Guardians of the Galaxy films. The metalwork was done by hand, but many of the other accessories were 3D printed. It also has a built-in functioning MP3 player with components from a Logitech X230 sound system that plays songs from the original movie.

Shiny

Modder: Mnpctech

What makes it cool: Mpnpctech modified a Corsair case to pay homage to Joss Whedon's sci-fi show Firefly.

Rebel A

Modder: Andrew Kjos and Mnpctech

What makes it cool: Andrew Kjos and Mnpctech created Rebel A as a Star Wars Rebel Alliance tribute.

Silverstone SG03 Case Mod

Modders: Bill Owen and Jeremy Birch

What makes it cool: Bill Owen and Jeremy Birch used a Mini-ITX Silverstone SG03 chassis to create something straight out of Fallout's post-apocalyptic universe.

Lanboy Apocalypse

Modder: Mnpctech

What makes it cool: Mnpctech used an Antec case and a metallic reservoir to create a PC that seemingly houses radioactive material.

Official Star Trek

Modder: Mnpctech

What makes it cool: Mnpctech designed this mod to pay tribute to the original 1960s Star Trek series. You can also see the Starship Enterprise carved out on the side panel.

Medieval

Modder: BS Mods

What makes it cool: BS Mods did a lot of machine work on this In Win case to give it a medieval vibe. It's most distinguishing feature is the sword on the side, which comes with functional USB and audio ports on the side. There's also a power button at the end of the sword's hilt.

AR-45

Modder: Suchao Modding & Design

What makes it cool: Thai modder Suchao constructed this crazy case for Gigabyte. The middle section houses the motherboard on one side and the GPU on the other. The top and bottom sections feature radiators with RGB fans.

Cutting Edge

Modder: Johan Nyman

What makes it cool: Modder Johan Nyman modded Corsair's Spec-Alpha case to evoke a Mirror's Edge Catalyst theme. It features the same red, white, and black motif from the game and has the Mirror's Edge name and logo etched onto its panels.

Rey's Speeder

Modder: Brian Carter of Bods Mods

What makes it cool: Brian Carter designed this mod using his 3D printer and modeled it after Rey's speeder bike from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Like Rey's vehicle, it even has a bag for loose scraps dangling on the side.

Verktøy Cu

Modder: Derick Magnusen and Senpai Studios

What makes it cool: Modder Derick Magnusen took CaseLabs' massive S8 chassis and added a bunch of copper, leather, and brass to give it a steampunk look. It's equipped with four GTX Titan XPs and is named Verktøy Cu, which loosely translates to "copper work tool" in Norwegian.

Batman

Modder: Xing Kai

What makes it cool: This case prominently features Nvidia's GTX 1080 at the front of a futuristic-looking chassis that's spreading its wings. It looks like something Batman would use.

Bulldog GTO

Modder: Lee Harrington of PCJunkieMods

What makes it cool: Modder Lee Harrington took Corsair's Bulldog chassis and modified it to look like a late 1960's Pontiac GTO. The classic car it's modeled after is a hot rod, so this case has appropriate flames to match.

Tank PC

Modder: Kensuke Morita

What makes it cool: Kensuke Morita's PC is built like a tank...literally. It even has LED fans at the base that act as the vehicle's caterpillar tracks.

The WinBot Project

Modder: Kun Mod Studios

What makes it cool: Kun Mod Studios used InWin's spherical Winbot chassis and added a custom loop cooler to it. It looks a lot like Tom Cruise's Bubbleship in the 2013 sci-fi movie Oblivion.

FrostByte

Modder: Jon Hansz

What makes it cool: An ice dragon dwells within this mod designed by Jon Hansz. You can see its tail and scales on top of the case, its body dangling from the side, and its heading protruding through the front. Finally, it has blue LED fans inside, which accentuate the mod's icy theme.

Nissan GT-R R35

Modder: Kensuke Morita

What makes it cool: Japanese modder Kensuke Morita designed a Nissan GT-R R35-inspired PC using parts from an RC car.

The Andromeda Initiative

Modder: Jon Hansz and Ron Lee Christianson of Rip City Modders

What makes it cool: Jon Hansz and Ron Lee Christianson constructed this mod to celebrate the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda. It uses a heavily modified Corsair 240 Air case. The most notable addition is the soldier clad in space armor on the side. And in case you were wondering, yes, you can take the helmet off.

H-Tower Nvidia Edition

Modder: Wei Zheng

What makes it cool: Chinese modder Wei Zheng created a PC mod for Nvidia using In Win's H-Tower case. The crazy chassis opens and closes with a press of a button. Zheng painted the innards green, used green ribbon cables, and prominently displayed Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1080 GPU inside.

Titanfall 2 Ion 509

Modder: Lee Harrington of PC Junkie Mods and Ron Lee Christianson of Blue Horse Studios

What makes it cool: Lee Harrington of PC Junkie Mods and Ron Lee Christianson of Blue Horse Studios built this mod to commemorate the launch of Titanfall 2. At its core, it uses In Win's 509 chassis, but Harrington and Christianson added a ton of modifications, which include an LCD panel at the bottom. They also added architectural layers to the front of the case to recreate Ion's singular robotic eye.

SkyVue

Modder: Jeffrey Stephenson

What makes it cool: If this mod reminds you of the Empire State Building it's because it was designed to look like the Art Deco skyscrapers of the 1930s. Retired high school Chemistry teacher Jeffrey Stephenson built it using Thermaltake's Level 10 PC case.

Gigantea

Modder: David "Insolent Gnome" Cathey

What makes it cool: David "Insolent Gnome" Cathey's Gigantea is the centipede of mods. It combines three Mini-ITX Cooler Master Elite 130 cases coupled with acrylic panels to give it a large robotic arthropod look.

World of Tanks Diorama

Modder: Richard "MadeByKier" Keirsgieterr and Vladimir from VW Studio

What makes it cool: Richard "MadeByKier" Keirsgieterr and Vladimir from VW Studio constructed a diorama showcasing the war-torn landscape of World of Tanks. No machinery was used and everything was built by hand.

Yoda

Modder: Jon "Pennywise" Hansz

What makes it cool: Consider this a tribute to Yoda. Modder Jon "Pennywise" Hansz sculpted him from clay and added a bunch of green accents, tubing, and cables on the inside of the PC to pay homage to the Jedi master. The rest of the chassis has Stormtroopers painted on it.

Vault 111 Decontamination Pod

Modder: Dewayne Carel of Modders Inc.

What makes it cool: Dewayne Carel used a Phanteks Enthoo Pro case to recreate the freezing chamber from Fallout 4. It even has a gas canister hanging on one side.

Wasted Lightning

Modder: Craig "TechDaddy" Tate of Modders Inc.

What makes it cool: Modder Craig "TechDaddy" Tate wanted to create a Fallout mod that looked like it had been damaged and weathered by the wasteland. He used a Scotchbrite pad to scuff up the paint on a Fractal Arc Midi R2 case and used shades of brown and red paint to recreate the rusty look. Tate also used a hammer, mallet, and heat gun to give it a damaged look. Finally, the large Fallout 4 lightning bolt at the front ties the piece together.

Fallout

Modder: Dewayne Carel

What makes it cool: Dewayne Carel's Fallout mod doesn't simply pay tribute to the gaming series, but he wanted it to look like a computer you'd actually encounter in the Wasteland. It has a side window, which makes it look like a terminal you can hack in the game, and it actually uses code taken from Fallout 4. Carel used Thermaltake's Urban S41 case and used a lot of spray paint and hair spray to give it a rusted and worn look. Finally, if you look up at the top, you'll see a Pip-Boy.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Evolvs

Modder: Lee Harrington of PCJunkieMods and Ron Lee Christianson of Blue Horse Studios

What makes it cool: Lee Harrington and Ron Lee Christianson worked together and modded three Phanteks Enthoo Evolv cases to evoke a Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain theme. The chassis comes with a tactical harness, ammo pouch, and knife on the side. The three different camo getups are inspired by uniforms in the game.

Heroes of the Storm Mashup

Modder: Xing Kai

What makes it cool: Chinese modder Xing Kai is a huge Blizzard fan and says that StarCraft and Diablo were some of the biggest influences in his life, so he decided to build this Heroes of the Storm-themed mod. The design uses two Corsair cases, which is a 780T ATX tower coupled with a 380T Mini-ITX case. He used metal for the StarCraft section of the build and wood for the Warcraft parts. The top of the case features a Terran Marine and the front of the case features orcs.

Assassin's Creed

Modder: PCJunkieMods and Blue Horse Studio

What makes it cool: PCJunkieMods and Blue Horse Studio collaborated for three weeks to make an Assassin's Creed-themed mod. Using Corsair's Carbide 300R case, they used wood grain panels to make it look like a pirate's treasure box. They sculpted the lock, skulls, and ornaments out of clay.

Parvum Warfare

Modder: James Walter

What makes it cool: James Walter was inspired to craft a Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare mod after he saw Microsoft reveal its Advanced Warfare Xbox controller. He used a Parvum System case and modeled the aesthetics after the controller.

Fallout Vault-Tec

Modder: Bob Stewart, Rod Rosenberg, and Brian Carter of Mod Dudes

What makes it cool: The Mod Dudes collaborated to make a Fallout case that was designed to look like it was made by the Vault-Tec Corporation. They took three weeks to paint Rustoleum light yellow on a Corsair Graphite 780T case. The Mod Dudes used diamond plate panels on the front and small iron rails as feet for the chassis on the bottom. The coolest part of the case is the gear-shaped cut-out they did on the side panel with its custom-made hinge.

The Hitman

Modder: Jojoharalds

What makes it cool: Icelandic modder Jojoharalds used Fractal Design's Define S case to construct a mod with a suit, white dress shirt, and red tie that's inspired by Agent 47's attire. Hitman is Jojoharalds' favorite game.

Lamborghini Reventon

Modder: Paul Tan

What makes it cool: Modder Paul Tan modded Silverstone's Raven RV01 case to evoke the look of a silver Lamborghini Reventon sports car. It even has functional headlights.

Tristellar Mod

Modder: Bill Owen

What makes it cool: Bill Owen took Deepcool's crazy Tristellar case and gave it a futuristic sci-fi sheen.
