Square Enix will reveal a new game from one of its Western studios tomorrow, the company has announced.
The publisher teased the news via its official Twitter account, which invited fans to join Square Enix on Twitch for "a unique 3-day interactive experience from one of our Western studios." The only other information it teased is the image you can see above, and that the game is currently being called "Project CKP."
Some games published by Square Enix that are being developed outside of Japan include a new Hitman from IO Interactive and a new Deus Ex from Eidos Montreal, though Project CKP could also easily be a completely new franchise from a developer we haven't heard about yet.
What do you think Square Enix is teasing here? Let us know in the comments below.
The 2013 Tomb Raider reboot, developed by Crystal Dynamics, has now sold more than 8.5 million copies worldwide, up from 7 million in February. That makes it the best-selling entry in franchise history, the Square Enix-owned studio announced on Monday. Released in March 2013, Tomb Raider also broke records for first-day and first-month sales, the developer said today.
The 8.5 million figure does include sales of the Definitive Edition, a representative for Square Enix told GameSpot.
Crystal Dynamics studio head Darrell Gallagher said he's thrilled by the game's sales.
"Tomb Raider ignited and expanded the fan base, pushing the series to a new level," he said in a statement "The game's incredible sales success reflects the passionate response of players."
The Xbox One's April system update, which was already available to Xbox Preview members, is rolling out today for everyone else. The update introduces a range of new features that Microsoft says will make the Xbox One experience "even better," including improvements to party chat, new achievement notifications, and a new "What's On" area on the dashboard, among other things.
However, two marquee features that were announced previously for the April update--voice messaging and dedicated servers for party chart--are being kept in preview for additional testing. Microsoft didn't provide a timeline for when these features might be delivered publicly, saying only that feedback from the testing group led to the decision to delay their rollout.
"Voice messages and dedicated servers for party chat will ship once the team is confident they are ready," Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb says in the video above.
For more on the April Xbox One system update, see the video above and the bullet points below, which were written by Microsoft.
Xbox One April Update Includes:
Party chat improvements – Additional icons and notifications within the party chat experience to help you understand your connection and microphone status. The party app will help you get your microphone enabled and show you when privacy settings or networking issues are blocking communication with particular party members.
Game hub links – You'll see activity feed items when any of your friends follow a game, and you'll also be able to get back to a game's hub from activity feed posts related to the game--including feed items about the game's achievements, game clips, and screenshots.
Achievement notifications – With this update, you'll also see the achievement's description in the notification so you know what you did to earn this achievement without having to open the achievements app.
What's On – The What's On area is now available for Xbox One users in the U.S., Canada, and the UK. In it, you'll find links to popular videos, games, movies, TV shows, game broadcasts and clips, along with Trending TV shows if you have configured OneGuide for your Xbox One console.

NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. on Monday released the launch trailer for upcoming fighting game Mortal Kombat X. The developer went the extra mile with the video, enlisting the help of System of a Down's Shavo Odadjian, who directed the trailer. It also features the band's iconic "Chop Suey" song.
The video highlights Mortal Kombat's numerous returning and new characters, and ends with a particularly brutal Fatality. Make sure to watch through to the end.
A special TV trailer for Mortal Kombat X, which features live-action footage and gameplay, also uses "Chop Suey" to great effect.
The PlayStation 4 edition of Capcom's upcoming free-to-play role-playing game Dragon's Dogma Online will run at 1080p with a target frame rate of 60fps, it has now been confirmed.
Game director Kent Kinoshita revealed the resolution and frame rate details during a recent event in Tokyo, DualShockers reports. The PlayStation 3 edition of the game, meanwhile, will output at 720p/30fps.
DualShockers points out that, of course, Dragon's Dogma Online--like other PS4 games--can't guarantee 60fps for every scene. In fact, the socially inspired game will accommodate as many as 100 players on screen at once, which will more than likely result in some level of frame rate drop.
Also during the event, it was confirmed that Dragon's Dogma Online will support cross-platform play. PS4, PS3, and PC users will all play together on the same servers.
Announced in January, Dragon's Dogma Online is scheduled to launch in Japan later this year. An open-world game, the title appears to play similar to the original Dragon's Dogma (2012) and its Dark Arisen (2013) expansion. Capcom has not yet announced if Dragon's Dogma Online will be released in the West.
You can watch a new trailer for the PS4 edition of Dragon's Dogma Online above. It comes by way of GamesHQMedia.
Super Meat Boy developer Team Meat is calling on fans of the uber-difficult platforming game to write in Meat Boy as the character they'd like to see added to Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS through the new fan voting portal opened just last week. Meat Boy, of course, is the slimy slab of meat that's the playable character in Super Meat Boy and the upcoming Super Meat Boy Forever.
Nintendo's Smash Bros. character voting site opened last week and closes in October 2015. Recently, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said it would be "cool" if Banjo the bear from the Banjo-Kazooie series were added as a DLC fighter. Nintendo hasn't said how it will go about choosing which characters, or characters, will be chosen to come to the game or when players can expect those fighters to be available.
Though future fighters from the Smash Bros. voting site are likely many months away from coming to the game, one new DLC character--Mewtwo--will be available later this month. Beyond that, Nintendo will release another new fighter--Lucas--in June, though pricing has not yet been announced.
Which video game character would you like to see added to Super Smash Bros. as DLC? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to submit your vote at Nintendo's website here.
Ongoing support for last year's big Halo game, The Master Chief Collection, continues this week as developer 343 Industries has now introduced a Team Doubles playlist and is planning even more changes to the Xbox One game, it explains on Halo Waypoint.
Team Doubles is available now in The Master Chief Collection, allowing gamers to play the 2v2 mode across Halo 2 Classic, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4. 343 also stressed that it plans to adjust voting options and weighting (through a future update) in an effort to improve the variety of game types where players start with a Battle Rifle in hand.
Looking ahead, 343 also added that a dedicated Team Objective playlist will be introduced "in the coming weeks." While not confirmed, this playlist is likely to include objective-based game types such as Capture the Flag and King of the Hill, among others. In addition, 343 said it's planning to bring back SWAT.
Finally, 343 provided a status update for The Master Chief Collection's April content update. The developer is now putting on the "finishing touches and running final test passes" for this patch, which will focus on ranking, "title-specific improvements," and new quitting penalties. It should launch sometime in April.
Full patch notes will be available later.
Are you still playing Halo: The Master Chief Collection? I sure am. Enjoying the tweaks 343 is making? Let us know in the comments below.
Just who is the real Master Chief? That's the question Microsoft's new, Serial-style "Hunt the Truth" podcast series attempts to answer in the lead-up to the release of Halo 5: Guardians this October.
The second chapter in the series was published last night, and dives even deeper into Master Chief's mysterious origins. This episode begins with a startling revelation. We won't spoil it for you.
"An obscure record from the far reaches of the galaxy contradicts everything," reads a line from the episode's description. "Government officials and conspiracy theorists weigh in. Stories of a remarkable young man are once again torn down by conflicting accounts."

Well-known YouTube personality "Angry Joe" Vargas is finished creating content around Nintendo games in the wake of a new copyright claim filed over his recent Mario Party 10 video. Angry Joe is a force in online video, as his channel counts nearly 2 million subscribers and has tallied 300 million+ total views.
His most recent video, "Angry Joe Plays Mario Party 10!," was posted over the weekend, but Vargas removed it after he received the claim you see below from Nintendo.
Vargas adds that he's spent around $900 on his Wii U gaming setup, which includes the system, controllers, games, and more. But he laments that Nintendo, unlike other major gaming companies, "need to monetize when I share my play sessions."
This controversy comes in the wake of Nintendo's introduction of a new YouTube policy called the Creators Program. Billed as a program that would allow YouTubers such as Angry Joe to share advertising revenue with Nintendo for videos containing Nintendo content, it has faced heavy criticism from popular streamers, including the biggest YouTube star of all, PewDiePie.
One major restriction of Nintendo's new Creators Program is that YouTubers are only eligible to earn ad dollars for select games. As you might have guessed, Mario Party 10is not on the approved list. However, it remains unclear if the copyright claim is the result of the Creators Program or something else.
For lots more on Vargas' thoughts regarding Nintendo's YouTube monetization policies, check out the video above, in which he calls the company "f***ing greedy," among other things.
It's important to note that Vargas isn't anti-Nintendo overall. In fact, he says he's had more fun playing his Wii U than his Xbox One or PlayStation 4 combined, and regularly recommends that people buy one.
Matthew Haag, better known in the gaming world as top Call of Duty competitive player "Nadeshot," is stepping away from the game and taking on more of a backseat role at his squad, Optic Gaming.
"Basically, I am going to be taking a break from competitive Call of Duty. A leave of absence, if you will," he explains in the video posted above.
He stresses, however, that he's not retiring from competitive Call of Duty entirely. Haag will still play events here and there, and hopes to get back in the mix for this year's new Call of Duty game from Treyarch.
But in the short-term, he says he hopes to "pursue other things that I'm passionate about," including spending more time creating YouTube videos for games like Minecraft and H1Z1.
"I'm very confident that I will be revisiting my competitive roots and continue to compete in the next Call of Duty title and maybe towards the end of Advanced Warfare," Haag said. "I just need some time to step back and pursue other things that I'm passionate about."
Haag explained that, even though Optic had won three out of the last five tournaments it competed in, he felt he was "holding my team back." Since Haag is a co-owner of Optic, his decision to step down as a regular player on the main squad was something of a managerial move.
Going forward, Optic will seek out another, potentially more skilled and driven player, for Haag's replacement. "My passion just wasn't high enough to continue to compete at this level," he said.
Optic has not announced Haag's replacement yet.
"If you guys asked me two months ago if I was going to be making a video like this, I would have told you you were absolutely crazy," Haag said. "But things change, people change, situations change."
Haag was named Optic's captain last year, and at the Video Game Awards in December, was named the eSports player of the year. According to a 2014 New York Times story about him, Haag earns about $1 million per year through winnings and endorsements.
