The patch, which is rolling out now, should reduce lag, adjust character moves, and fix things like sound glitches and a visual bug that caused too much blurring.
You can see the full Ultra Street Fighter IV June 3 patch notes below, courtesy of Sony.
The issues with Ultra Street Fighter IV on PS4 were so severe that the Evo competitive gaming tournament has decided to hold its tournaments on Xbox 360 instead. Even though this patch clears up many of the issues, event organizers say they won't go back to PS4.
Sony's third-party production group developed and published the game, not Capcom itself. Ultra Street Fighter IV was not released on Xbox One.

The Sims 4 is getting a free update that will give players more space to build new homes and businesses, publisher Electronic Arts has announced.
The update adds the World of Newcrest, which will be joining Willow Creek and Oasis Springs next Thursday, June 11. It'll contain three new neighborhoods, each with five empty lots each. You can find the exact sizes available in the new neighborhoods on EA's website.
As always, players can design their own structures for the empty lots, or download homes and venues from The Sims 4 Gallery, which includes bars, clubs, houses, pools, and more.
Black Tusk Studios, the Microsoft-owned developer currently working on the next game in the Gears of War series, has changed its name to "The Coalition," the developer has announced.
"In short, The Coalition speaks to who we are as a team, and what it is we're working on," studio head Rod Fergusson said in a statement. "A coalition is a team of diverse individuals working together for a common purpose, a concept that we feel describes our studio quite well. Fans will also recognize the Coalition of Ordered Governments (COG) from Gears of War lore."
Fergusson said that moving forward, when you hear the name The Coalition, he wants players to think of Gears of War, just as players think of Halo when they hear developer 343 Industries' name.
The first-ever PC Gaming Show at E3 this year has added another major partner to its lineup: Microsoft.
Event organizers announced today that Xbox boss Phil Spencer and other key members of the team will appear during the show to talk about gaming on Windows 10.
Writing on the Xbox Wire, Microsoft teased that it may also have a "surprise" in store for the event, though no other details were announced.
Microsoft is also co-sponsoring the PC Gaming Show alongside chip-maker AMD. The event, which will be livestreamed, will be held June 16 from 5-8 PM PDT. Other companies attending the event include Blizzard Entertainment, Square Enix, and Creative Assembly, among many others.
"For us, it's about kickstarting a more regular and open dialogue with the community so that we can collect feedback and share developments on what we are working on," he said. "Specifically, we'll share our vision for gaming on Windows 10 and why it's the best version of Windows ever for both gamers and developers alike."
"We have bold ambitions, but we also want to set expectations early and often as to what gamers and developers should expect," he added. "Also, we want to make clear that when we talk about Xbox going forward, we're talking about gaming on all Windows 10 devices--PCs, tablets, phones, Xbox One, and HoloLens. And we'll talk about some of the games we have coming to the PC this year."
Be sure to read PC Gamer's full interview with Spencer for lots more. It's an excellent read well worth your time if you're looking to learn more about Microsoft's stance on PC gaming.
PlanetSide 2 will be launch on PlayStation 4 on June 23 across North America and Europe, Sony has announced.
Andy Sites, the game's director of development, said Daybreak Game Company has "put a lot of effort into streamlining and improving the feature set" so PS4 players have "the ultimate massive-scale, FPS gaming experience."
He continued: "We've also incorporated some unique features that are currently exclusive to the PS4 version, which for example, include the new battle map, Koltyr. We will continue to further improve and enhance the gameplay experience after launch as well.
"In the weeks and months following the release on June 23, players can look forward to frequent game updates, which will include deeper features, holiday events and content, new in-game marketplace items and much, much more."
Showtime on Wednesday announced its own standalone Internet TV service to rival HBO Now. Simply called Showtime, the service is set to launch in July, offering subscribers all-you-can-watch access to the network's library for $11/month. That compares to $15/month for HBO Now.
Showtime's standalone service will be available at launch exclusively for Apple devices such as Apple TV, iPad, and iPhone. The service will also work on PC once you've confirmed your subscription. In addition, a 30-day free trial will be available.
While it doesn't have Game of Thrones or True Detective, Showtime does boast some celebrated programming, including Homeland, Masters of Sex, Ray Donovan, and Shameless, among others. Subscribers will also have access to Showtime's complete back catalog, including Weeds and Californication.
Previously, you needed to have a traditional cable subscription to access Showtime content.
There was no mention of Showtime's new standalone service coming to consoles like the Xbox One or PlayStation 4. But those platforms have their own streaming TV solutions in the form of Sling TV and PlayStation Vue, respectively.
With the introduction of these three games, it means you can now get eleven games for $10. As with all Humble Bundles, you're free to distribute your money between Humble, the various games' developers, and charity. In this case, the charity is Code.org, a non-profit group that works to expand computer science education and encourage participation in the field by women and students of color.
The full Humble Nindie Bundle lineup is below. More than 64,000 purchases have been made so far, totaling more than $589,000. The promotion ends next week.
PlayStation Poland has released a funny new video focused around The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and the PlayStation 4. Watch as Geralt of Rivia, the hero of The Witcher 3, embarks on new quest, not to slay a griffin or vanquish otherwordly creatures, but to buy the "world's most powerful console."
"You never know what order can happen at witcher trail," reads a line from the video's description. "The most important thing is to have the strongest possible equipment."
It's quite funny. My favorite part is probably when Geralt tries to buy the PS4 using gold coins. The ending is also quite amusing and surprising. Check out the full video below.
Developer CD Projekt Red continues to update and tweak the game, with the latest patch--this one fixing an XP bug and more--due to arrive sometime soon.
The BBC's upcoming Grand Theft Auto TV movie, Game Changer, will depict Rockstar Games co-founder Sam Houser and anti-game lawyer Jack Thompson on a "collision course." That's according to actor Bill Paxton, who plays Thompson in the movie, and spoke with The Wall Street Journalrecently about it.
"They end up on this collision course," Paxton said about Sam Houser and Thompson. "It's an interesting piece because it's pretty well-leveaned. You've got the freedom of expression and stuff, and then you've got, 'Oh gosh, is there a line there?' I thought it was really a good script."
The movie was at least partially shot in Cape Town, South Africa, Paxton said. He wrapped his scenes just a couple weeks ago. Game Changer does not yet have a premiere date.
The made-for-TV movie is centered around Thompson's appeal to the family of Devin Moore, the Alabama man who shot and killed three police officers in 2005. In court, Thompson sought to show how the developers of Grand Theft Auto, Rockstar Games, along with console-makers, were at least partially responsible for the crime. Moore was sentenced to death and is currently on death row.
"What we're saying is that Devin Moore was, in effect, trained to do what he did. He was given a murder simulator. He bought it as a minor. He played it hundreds of hours, which is primarily a cop-killing game. It's our theory, which we think we can prove to a jury in Alabama, that, but for the video game training, he would not have done what he did."
As you might expect, Game Changer is generating quite a stir. Some of the original Grand Theft Auto developers are not happy about the movie, which is being produced without the participation of Rockstar Games or parent company Take-Two Interactive. For its part, Take-Two recently filed a lawsuit against the BBC regarding the movie's use of the Grand Theft Auto IP, but not to stop the film from airing.
Blizzard Entertainment will air a new commercial for Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft this week on primetime TV. The spot, a funny video called "Substitution," will show up during the NHL and NBA finals.
You can watch the ad right now through the video below.
The NHL finals between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Tampa Bay Lightning begin tonight, while the NBA finals, pitting the Golden State Warriors against the Cleveland Cavaliers, tips off tomorrow evening.
Available to buy today are the $80 Strike and Siege models, which come in Onyx Fire and Onyx Ice color patterns. They also support up to 20 interchangeable Heroes of the Storm temple sleeves ($15 each), featuring artwork from the game franchise.
Gunnar says the glasses are built using "feather-light, high-tensile steel," which should not only allow for a nice fit but also make them quite durable. The Siege model supports a wider fit for people with larger faces.
As with all Gunnar glasses, the Heroes of the Storm eyewear is specially designed to reduce glare and eye fatigue that some experience during extended play sessions. For more on the new glasses, head to Gunnar's website. You can also get a closer look through the image gallery below.
Heroes of the Storm recently gained some mainstream attention when part of the Heroes of the Dorm tournament was broadcast on ESPN 2. This was criticized by both some ESPN viewers and at least one ESPN employee.
Another executive at Max Payne and Alan Wake developer Remedy Entertainment has left the company. CEO Matias Myllyrinne announced on Wednesday that, after 15 years, he's leaving the Finnish studio to join World of Tanks developer Wargaming.
Myllyrinne announced his departure from Remedy on Twitter.
He went on to say that the best is yet to come for Remedy. The company "remains one of the few indie studios to enjoy hits on PC, mobile, and console," he said. "We've yet to see Remedy's best game."
"The studio is in good standing and will go on to great things," Myllyrine said in a follow-up blog post. "Quantum Break looks amazing and the team is working hard to build it into the game that you deserve. It will be worthy of the Remedy brand."
Myllyrinne is the third high-ranking Remedy employee to leave the company in the past month.
Actor Daniel Craig is set to play super-spy James Bond in this year's Spectre and reportedly another movie to follow. But who will take over for Craig for any future installments in the beloved action series?
In an interview with The Guardian, The Transporter's Jason Statham says he'd be up for gig if it was offered to him.
"Could I do it? Abso-f**king-lutely," he said. "Would I do it? Abso-f**king-lutely."
Statham went on to say that he thinks Craig has done a great job bringing 007 to life in the three films he's appeared in so far. However, the actor also said he would like to approach the iconic character in a "different" way.
"Yeah, I'd make a decent Bond," Statham said. "But it'd be very, very different if I did it."
Though he certainly sounds enthusiastic about playing the hero, Statham said he wouldn't like to play a Bond villain. This despite Statham portraying the central antagonist in Furious 7.
"I don't know if I wanna to do that," he said. "That's not my thing. I'd rather play the other guy."
Another name circulated as a potential replacement for Craig has been Idris Elba. Who would you like to see take over when Craig eventually exits? Let us know in the comments below.
Bethesda has officially revealed Fallout 4, the newest entry in its open-world RPG series, which is set to ship on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
The game's official website went live slightly ahead of schedule, showing box art for the title and also confirming it will not be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
A trailer for the game has also been released. It opens by showing the "Please Stand By" message on a television, before pulling out to reveal the inside of a bombed out house.
A dog is seen entering as a voice on the radio says "with the world poised on the bring of war, Vault-Tech is reporting." The message cuts off, but returns later to say "folks, er, it seems we've got some breaking news ... standby," setting up another post-apocalyptic adventure.
The dog walks through the house and out into the world as the trailer cuts between pre and post-apocalypse depictions of the world.
As previously indicated, Fallout 4 will take place in Boston. During the video we are briefly shown an area called "Scollay Square," which is located in real-world Boston. The USS Constitution, which is docked in the city, Bunker Hill Monument, and the Massachusetts State House are also seen in the video.
Also worth noting is that the character featured in the trailer is voiced. It is unclear whether this is the player character, but if it is, having a voiced playable protagonist would be a first for the series.
The entrance to Vault 111 is also briefly shown. It is likely this is where players will journey into the wasteland from. Red Sox fans may also notice a post-apocalyptic version of Fenway Park.
Bethesda Game Studios' Todd Howard, who has previously worked on The Elder Scrolls Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout 3, is directing the project.
"We know what this game means to everyone," said Howard. "The time and technology have allowed us to be more ambitious than ever. We've never been more excited about a game, and we can't wait to share it."
Activision's toys-to-life franchise, Skylanders, has now sold through more than 250 million toys since the franchise debuted four years ago, the publisher revealed today as part of the announcement of the next game in the series. As stated previously, Skylanders has generated $3 billion for Activision so far.
The next entry in the franchise, Skylanders SuperChargers, was announced today. This game changes things up by introducing vehicles (land, sky, and sea) to the series for the first time.
Twenty new character toys and 20 new vehicle toys will be available for purchase when SuperChargers launches in September for consoles, PC, and mobile. For lots more on SuperChargers, check out GameSpot's just-published hands-on preview and a new trailer below that features Travis Pastrana.
The Skylanders franchise faces more competition than ever this year. In addition to Disney Infinity and Amiibo, Warner Bros. will release its exciting-sounding LEGO Dimensions in September, featuring toys based on heavyweight franchises such as Batman, The Lord of the Rings, and The Simpsons, among others.
Nintendo has sold 10.5 million Amiibo toys by its latest count, while sales figures for Disney Infinity are unavailable.
Summer doesn't actually begin until later this month, but The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red's GOG.com on Wednesday launched its annual Summer Sale. Free games, daily bundles, and more will take place through the Summer Sale, which runs today through June 21.
In addition to the standard discounts on games, GOG shoppers have a chance to score up to three free games during the sale period.
Spend more than $1 during the Summer Sale and you'll receive a free copy of SimCity 2000; spend at least $20 and you'll unlock S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky; spend more than $50 and you'll get a free copy of Xenonauts.
New deals for GOG's Summer Sale will appear on the site every 12 hours--more than 100 discounts will be available every day. Altogether, GOG more than 700 games will be marked down during the sale period by as much as 90 percent.
GOG kicks things off with deals on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (10 percent off), Lichdon Battlemage (87 percent off), and Jade Empire (80 percent off). A variety of bundles, including the Lucasfilm Adventures collection (Monkey Island, Sam & Max, and more) will be available for 66 percent off.
Head to GOG's website to see all the deals. As always, all games are completely DRM-free.
GOG isn't the only online retailer with plans for a summer sale. Just last week, the dates for Valve's annual summer sale leaked, suggesting the event would kick off on June 11, meaning it would overlap with GOG's.
It's been nearly four years since Activision first introduced Skylanders, the now-annual toys-to-life franchise. New Skylanders games have debuted with new types of figures or accessories; whether it be the larger figures in Skylanders: Giants, creatures made of swappable halves in Skylanders: Swap Force, or the speaker-embedded portal that brought trapped bosses to life in Skylanders: Trap Team. However, the next instalment, Skylanders: SuperChargers, will introduce a completely new feature and new toys to accompany it: vehicles.
At certain points in the game, an access point will allow the player to place one of these new vehicle toys on the Portal of Power and pair with an in-game Skylander character. This allows that character to enter the vehicle in-game. There are three different classes of vehicles; ground vehicles which allow the player to race on land, water vehicles to weave through obstacles underwater, and flying ships to do battle with in the sky.
SuperChargers will introduce 20 new vehicles paired with 20 new matching Skylander figures. While the vehicles can be used in-game with any new or old Skylander character, pairing a vehicle with its matching Skylander partner will activate a Supercharge state in-game, granting the player new abilities and combos. This was demonstrated to me with a new version of returning character Hot Streak, who when paired with his chosen car, gained a powerful fireball shooting ability. The vehicles themselves are introduced with a brief in-game cinematic when summoned using the portal of power--an intro that could be likened in its outrageousness and glamour to that of a car show spectacle.
If you don't have a specific vehicle type, you cannot access the areas that have been designed for them; these areas are simply gated from the player. While platform levels do make a return in Skylanders: SuperChargers, it was these vehicular sections of the game which really captured my attention during a preview session hosted by Activision.
Racing On Land
Getting behind the wheel in SuperChargers will feel very familiar to those who have played Mario Kart. The course shown was beset with sharp turns, littered with hazardous obstacles, and at one point launched the player high into the air to land on an adjacent platform. Similar to Nintendo's flagship racer, each course contains alternative routes to the finish line. Taking time to explore these alternative routes is beneficial, as they sometimes contain new parts which can be used to customize and boost the in-game stats of a vehicle. Collected parts can be added to a vehicle the instant they are picked up, an action which pauses the game mid-race and opens the vehicle customization screen.
The race culminated with a boss battle, at which point the Activision representative switched out their Skylander character in favour of Hot Streak, who was paired with this particular vehicle. Equipped with Supercharge, Hot Streak could weave around the boss in the vehicle and spew destructive fireballs at the enemy. It wasn't all physical fighting however; once the boss was defeated, a simple puzzle had to be solved to progress through the section's exit.
The vehicle toys themselves will have articulation that allows interaction outside of the video game. For example, the wheels on Hot Streak's car spin. However, I was warned that the vehicles' figures were not recommended for contact with water, unlike some of their in-game counterparts in the following section.
Diving Into The Sea
The next part of the demonstration took the Skylander character for a plunge into the sea with a water vehicle that looked like a cross between a boat and a submarine. Racing through the water track started off as a straightforward affair, but dodging obstacles by submerging underneath the water's surface turned the section into an aquatic course with two sections--one above water, and one underwater. Hazards on the surface of the water could be avoided by diving underneath, and vice versa.
Like in the land race, the sea level culminated with a boss fight that required the player to simultaneously dodge obstacles and shoot enemies. The dramatic swell and crash of the waves made the fight appear more challenging than its land counterpart. I was particularly impressed with the textures and animation of the water; according to the Activision representative, SuperChargers is a game "built for next-gen consoles," despite being available for last-generation consoles. With the boss in the water section defeated, the Skylander took to the section which inspired part of the series' name--the sky.
Sailing Through The Sky
Like previous sections, taking off into the skies required a specific vehicle figure to be placed on the Portal of Power. Activating a flight-capable vehicle in the game started up the sky section, which had the player weave the ship through the air to pick up collectibles and shoot cannons at enemies. While the ship's acceleration could be controlled, left on its own it would fly slowly to its destination, thanks to an autopilot system of sorts in place to ensure that players are guided to where they need to go.
As with the land sections, picking up new parts during the section instantly opened up the customization screen, allowing the player to add new parts to their ship soon as they were collected.
Compatibility With Old Content
Parents will be relieved to hear that SuperChargers will be compatible with all previously released Skylanders figures and Portals of Power. Tying in with this backwards compatibility, Activision has confirmed that a digital version of the game will also be released for sale. However, the bulk of the game's new content will still need the new vehicle figures to access. Not all vehicles and figures will be available at launch, though the starter pack will include new versions of returning characters Hot Streak, Spitfire, and Stealth Elf. Only the new versions can be partnered with their chosen vehicles to unlock Supercharge in-game--using the old versions of these characters will not produce any extra effect.
While the new types of levels in Skylanders: SuperChargers were impressive to behold, the need for additional vehicle figurines was not. If the land vehicle stages, water levels, and sky battle sections will make up a large portion of what is new in the game then restricting players who don't own the corresponding vehicles will mean that they miss out on what makes SuperChargers unique. Crying wallet aside, the changes in scenery these new sections will offer look interesting enough to welcome newcomers and seasoned collectors alike, and kids will likely love playing with the new vehicle figures--both in-game, and outside of it.
Japanese publisher Square Enix has made two PC-focused announcements about the Final Fantasy series.
First, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is coming to PC. The publisher writes on Twitter that the game will be available through Steam (a release date was not announced), and will sport "new graphical options."
These include "improved battle and camera controls and more," the company said, adding that more details will be shared later.
DualShockers has obtained the first screenshots of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD for PC.
CD Projekt Red's acclaimed role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt features a rich world with lots of quests to take on and characters to interact with. But what happens when you reach the end of the story? There's no need to stop, as CD Projekt Red has now confirmed the game has no hard level cap.
"There is no level cap," CD Projekt Red community lead Marcin Momot said on Twitter (via IGN).
This would suggest that unlocking every ability and mastering each is at least theoretically possible. But you certainly don't need to do this to finish the game, as reviews have pointed out.
In response to Momot's comments about The Witcher 3 having no level cap, some fans called for some kind of New Game Plus mode. Momot has not responded.
It's possible that The Witcher 3's upcoming paid DLC, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, will offer some kind of solution for players who want a new, high-level challenge.
Online retail giant Amazon has updated its store page for Naughty Dog's Uncharted 4: Thief's End with the game's official box art.
The cover art, which you can see below, is fairly standard fare for modern third-person shooters. It features Nathan Drake, with ruffled hair, presumably because he has been shot at a lot and has been diving around quite a bit, leading the unkempt look. Or perhaps he used a bit of Garnier Fructis texturising wax to achieve that I'm-not-even-trying surf hair style.
Drake's face is partly obscured by shadow, with his forehead prominently showing an injury, likely from all the aforementioned diving around. The use of shadows is particularly interesting because Uncharted 4 has been pitched as a much darker entry in the successful series, and will delve into the protagonist's chequered past.
With the Uncharted 4 cover, Drake seems to be in a jungle, which would explain why he has unbuttoned his shirt--it's hot. But he's also the kind of guy that would work really hard on his pecs but not overtly brag about his gains. Instead he'd simply give the world a peek and wait for the compliments to roll in.
Naturally he's holding a gun, because no self-respecting Indiana Jones facsimile would leave home without one. Drake is also looking down with an expression of anguish. Although this is speculation, this may be because he's dealing with the reality of killing yet another person.
Either that, or he's lamenting the fact that he left home wearing sandals and now his feet are just full of potentially poisonous thorns. On top of that, opportunistic indigenous wildlife may have clamped down on his exposed toes and are suckling the blood from his tired, malnourished body.
In summary, box art is man with gun looking sad/angry.
"[With] The Last of Us, we went to great lengths to try to create this reality, but we were still limited by the amount of overdraw the PS3 could handle, etc.," Straley said when the game was first revealed.
"Now, the PS4 is allowing us to push so much more density, so it's fun to go back and go like, 'Oh, look at the things we wish we could have done in Uncharted 1, it's just like, this is easy, let's just make this.' It's nice to be able to explore something and look back and go, 'Wow, remember when we couldn't do any of this?' It's kind of neat."
Destiny's next major expansion will be called The Taken King, according to Red Bull tie-in products spotted out in the wild.
Images of boxes of the energy drink branded with the Destiny name and logo, along with "The Taken King," were posted online by Twitter user Agrios Endendros.
Bungie has been teasing a "major content release" for its online shooter for this fall.
Destiny's future may also involve something called "Eververse," if another recent trademark is any indication. The company filed two additional trademark applications for "Eververse Trading Co.," and a third for an Eververse logo.
The "Eververse Trading Co." may tie-in with Bungie's previous comments about the possibility of Destiny one day introducing a player trading system.
Blizzard's Heroes of the Storm has officially launched on PC, and is available as a free download to anyone with a Battle.net account. The game is Blizzard's take on the MOBA genre, and features characters from the universes of various Blizzard games including Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo.
For the first week, players who engage in matches will be rewarded with a special in-game portrait. An experience boost will also be active for the first three weeks from launch.
In Heroes of the Storm, players are able to play up to seven heroes each week for free. Access to additional heroes can be purchased using real-world money or in-game gold. Players can earn in-game gold by leveling up their accounts, completing quests, or simply participating in matches.
Heroes recently gained some mainstream attention when part of the Heroes of the Dorm tournament was broadcast on ESPN 2. This was criticized by both some ESPN viewers and at least one ESPN employee.
Dragon Quest Heroes is headed to PS4s in North America on October 13, and with it will come Day One and collector's editions, the latter of which features a Slime plush and treasure chest packaging.
The collector's edition, pictured below, consists of several physical items themed around DQ's classic Slime enemy--a plushie, keychain, and lanyard--as well as a Day One edition copy of the game itself. This all comes inside of a treasure box package.
Heroes' Day One edition offers some bonus in-game items as part of the Slime Weapon set. You'll receive the Slime Sword, Gooey Gloves, Goomerang, Squishing Rod, and Gungenir.
While the Day One edition will also be available elsewhere, the collector's edition is available exclusively through Square Enix's online store, where it's priced at $100. That's a $40 premium over the game itself, which costs $60.
Heroes--whose full title is the exceedingly lengthy Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below--was originally confirmed for North America back in February. That's when the game was released in Japan, where it's available on both PS3 and PS4, as opposed to the PS4-only release happening in North America.
The game was developed by Omega Force, Koei Tecmo's studio best known for the Dynasty Warriors series. Much like last year's Hyrule Warriors, Heroes is a Musou/Warriors-style game themed around a third-party IP, in this case the JRPG Dragon Quest series. You'll be able to play as both new and returning characters, including Alena, (DQ IV) Bianca (DQ V), and Yangus (DQ VIII). You can see a new trailer above.
Hitting a new level in a role-playing game isn't always terribly exciting--but it was for one player in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. From Reddit comes a terrific level-up video in which a player reaches level 20 by slicing off his enemy's head. This, for some reason, sends the now-headless body sailing into the ocean.
Well done.
I've only leveled up a few times so far in The Witcher 3 and certainly haven't done so in as epic a fashion as this player. Have you? Let us know in the comments below.
This month's free PlayStation Plus games are now available to Plus members on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.
As announced last week, there are six new games in all for subscribers, with two meant for each platform. However, thanks to cross-buy support, PS4 owners get a total of four freebies, including Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Skulls of the Shogun.
You can grab all six games from the PlayStation Store now through the end of the month (and likely the first week or so of July, as the first Tuesday of the month isn't until July 7). As always, these games are yours to keep for as long as you remain a Plus subscriber.
Pixar on Tuesday released the first trailer for The Good Dinosaur.
The Disney-owned Toy Story studio's latest animated film takes place in a world where dinosaurs didn't get wiped off the face of the planet by an asteroid.
Pixar veteran Pete Sohn (Finding Nemo, Ratatouille) is making his directorial debut with The Good Dinosaur. He explains to Yahoo Movies that the film, which opens on Thanksgiving, is a boy-and-his-dog story. Arlo, an adolescent Apatosaurus named Arlo is the boy, and a young human named Spot is the dog.
"Arlo himself is what we would have become, able to articulate and have certain emotions and connection to family," Sohn said. "They've become us, essentially… I'm trying to treat Spot in a very kind of animalistic way, where he doesn't speak very much. He's very feral."
Raising Hope's Lucas Neff provides the voice for Arlo, while John Lithgow, Bill Hader, Judy Greer, Neil Patrick Harris, and Frances McDormand also voice characters in the movie.
The Good Dinosaur won't be the only Pixar movie released in 2015, as Inside Out hits theaters later this month.
Despite there continuing to be nothing in the way of new games, Mega Man is getting a new animated series that's expected to debut in 2017 to celebrate the franchise's 30-year anniversary, Capcom announced today.
Details are light at the moment, but Capcom will partner with Japanese company Dentsu Entertainment to produce a 26-episode series. Dentsu, which will own the worldwide broadcasting and licensing rights, has enlisted the help of Man of Action Entertainment to write and create the series.
Man of Action's team consists of Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau, and Steven T. Seagle, with those individuals having previously been responsible for series like Ben 10, Generator Rex, and Big Hero 6 (the original comic).
This isn't the first time Mega Man will be adapted to another medium; there have been a number of comics and manga in Japan, while there were two animated series (Mega Man: Upon a Star and Mega Man, pictured right) in the early-to-mid 1990s.
Beyond the target launch date of 2017, there's no word on exactly when or how the new series will be distributed.
At MSI, Riot released a preview of their upcoming League of Legends champion Ekko. The preview was aptly titled "Ekko: Seconds," and the teaser gave audiences a glimpse of champion's theme. And yes, you probably guessed it: his powers and abilities have something to do with time.
You can watch it here:
They even came out with a badass comic, "Chronobreak," which gives some backstory into Ekko's tragic past. And more recently, Riot released their new Champion Spotlight feature on Ekko:
Some fans on reddit are already predicting his place in ranked play:
Ekko's damaging spells and attacks build up Resonance stacks on his enemies. Every third attack against the same target triggers Ekko's passive, dealing bonus damage and slowing his enemy. If he triggers his passive on an enemy champion, Ekko also gains a strong movement speed buff.
Q:
Timewinder
Ekko throws a device in a target direction, damaging all enemies along its path. Once it reaches max distance or hits an enemy champion, the device expands, creating a field that slows all enemy and neutral units. After a moment, the device contracts and rushes back to Ekko, dealing extra damage to all enemies in its path.
W:
Parallel Convergence
Passive: Ekko's basic attacks deal bonus damage to low health targets.
Active: Ekko opens a time rift, creating an alternate reality copy of him that tosses a device to a target location. After a delay, the device expands into a broad slowing zone. If Ekko enters the sphere, it detonates, granting him a shield while stunning all enemies inside.
E:
Phase Dive
Ekko dashes a fixed distance towards a target area. Once his initial dash has ended, Ekko gains greatly increased range on his next basic attack, and blinks to his target to deal damage and apply on-hit and spell effects.
R:
Chronobreak
Ekko rewinds time, briefly turning untargetable and invulnerable before reappearing wherever he was a few seconds ago. Once he reappears, Ekko recovers a portion of the health he lost over those few seconds while dealing tons of damage to all nearby enemies.
Packed with mobility and crowd control, Ekko is a champion that many are speculating will be unbalanced and overpowered during release. Some people are commenting on the power of Ekko's kit:
strictly looking at the numbers ekko looks absurd, will be interesting to see the champ develop
Riot has not specified which role Ekko will fill, which opens up all sorts of different possibilities in normal, ranked, and competitive games in the upcoming weeks. So are we going to see mid Ekko? Jungle Ekko? Maybe even support Ekko? Let us know in the comments below which position you'd play him in!
