Captain American Star To Leave MCU After Avengers 4

By Anonymous on Mar 23, 2018 12:13 am

Captain America star Chris Evans has been hinting that he will be leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe for some time now, and it seems that the day is almost here. With Avengers: Infinity War hitting theaters next month, Evans has confirmed that next year's currently untitled Avengers 4 will be his final Marvel movie.

The news comes via a profile on Evans in the New York Times. The article states that Infinity War and Avengers 4 were the final two movies left on his Marvel contract and that he has no further plans to continue playing Captain America. "You want to get off the train before they push you off," Evans is quoted as saying.

No Caption Provided

Of course, this isn't the first time that the actor has spoke about leaving the Marvel universe. Last June, he revealed that his contract was actually up after Infinity War, but he signed on for one more movie. "[Marvel] wanted to make the third and fourth Avengers films as a two-parter," he said. "They had so many other characters to fit in--Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Ant Man--and couldn't get them all into one movie. [I agreed] because it made sense. It's going to wrap everything up."

Back in In 2014, Evans stated that he was hoping to move from acting into directing. "I've known for a while I wanted to direct. But [the time] never really opens up. There's another movie to do, there's another acting job," he said. "I can't see myself pursuing acting strictly outside of what I'm contractually obligated to do."

There has been much speculation that Infinity War and its sequel will see the death of at least one key member of the MCU. What this means for Captain American is unknown, as both Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) have also spoken about their eventual departures from the series.

Earlier this month, Marvel boss Kevin Feige spoke about the possibility of a major Marvel hero dying. While Feige didn't give any details away, he did confirm that any death would be final for that character. "People always will jump to that," he said. "That's not necessarily what we're talking about. I mean, I could always list off the characters that we've killed in our movies that haven't come back, but the big ones, which I know they're looking at? I would just say, yes. People need to be careful what they wish for."

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27. It also stars Chadwick Boseman, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Pratt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Josh Brolin, Tom Holland, and pretty up every other major actor from the last decade of Marvel movies. Fortnite Week 5 Challenges Guide: Anarchy Acres Treasure Map, Gas Station Locations

By Anonymous on Mar 23, 2018 12:11 am

Fortnite: Battle Royale players once again have a lineup of new objectives to complete. Epic Games has released the Week 5 challenges for Battle Pass owners, offering a new way to obtain some experience and Battle Stars on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Many of the objectives this week are fairly straightforward; they include searching chests in Moisty Mire and using the bush item. Two of the Hard-difficulty challenges are equally straightforward: get three eliminations with a pistol and defeat three enemies in Tilted Towers. Players are also tasked with dealing 200 damage to opponents with a pickaxe. While you can certainly swing away at any enemy, this counts damage dealt to those who have been downed. In other words, completely finish off two people who are in a DBNO state using the pickaxe, and this is easily completed.

There are two other objectives that may require some guidance. The first asks you to visit three gas stations--but the catch is this has to be done in a single match (meaning you should avoid attempting it in Blitz mode). Reddit user __Kaneda__ has published a map highlighting the various gas stations you'll find around the island. Most of these are found in named locations, but some are in smaller areas. Pick any three, run by them during one match, and you'll earn five Battle Stars.

The other more complex challenge is labeled as Hard, meaning you'll receive 10 Battle Stars. It tells you to "follow the treasure map found in Anarchy Acres." The map points you to a location just southwest of Junk Junction, near the western edge of the map. As with past versions of this challenge, you don't actually need to hunt down the treasure map first; if you know where to go, you can simply head right to that point. You can have a look at this map from Reddit user ThePuffyPenguin.

As always, despite being weekly challenges, you have until the end of Season 3 to complete these objectives (see them all below). That's also true for the previous four weeks, as well as the set of freebie challenges that are available even to non-Battle Pass owners.

Aside from simply giving you some focused objectives, completing these challenges allows you to more quickly rank up your Battle Pass. This, in turn, unlocks a variety of cosmetics, XP boosts, and other things that don't directly impact gameplay. You can see everything there is to be earned in our Season 3 Battle Pass gallery.

Fortnite Week 5 Challenges

  • Use the Bush -- 5 Battle Stars
  • Search chests in Moisty Mire (7) -- 5 Battle Stars
  • Deal damage with a pickaxe to opponents (200) -- 5 Battle Stars
  • Visit different gas stations in a single match (3) -- 5 Battle Stars
  • Hard: Follow the treasure map in Anarchy Acres -- 10 Battle Stars
  • Hard: Pistol eliminations (3) -- 10 Battle Stars
  • Hard: Eliminate opponents in Tilted Towers (3) -- 10 Battle Stars

God Of War PS4 Has Gone Gold

By Anonymous on Mar 23, 2018 12:05 am

One of the most anticipated PS4 games of 2018 has now reached a critical milestone. On Twitter, the official PlayStation account announced that the upcoming God of War has gone gold, meaning the game is now ready to be sent off for manufacturing.

Along with the announcement, game director Cory Barlog shared his thoughts on reaching the milestone and reflected on the game's development in a post on the PlayStation Blog. "Going gold means so much more to me with this game," Barlog said. "It has been a long and exhausting journey filled with laughs, arguments, and a healthy dose of fear--with a side of doubt.

"This was the scariest, most wonderful thing I have ever done and I can honestly say it would never have been possible without the full-throated support of Sony and the tireless work of the incredible team at Santa Monica Studio. We have been through a lot together and I would not change a thing."

Unlike previous entries, God of War for PS4 serves as something of a reboot for the series. The game is rooted in Norse mythology rather than Greek like previous installments and tells a more personal tale focusing on Kratos and his young son, Atreus. It also features a markedly different combat system, as well as a cool one-shot cinematic technique that presents the entire story in one, uninterrupted shot without cuts or fades.

God of War releases for PS4 on April 20. The game is will take roughly 30 hours to finish, making it much longer than its predecessors, and Barlog confirmed it won't include microtransactions. We recently got a chance to talk with Barlog about the game and how God of War learned from The Last of Us.

11 Wrestlemania 34 Dream Matches For Daniel Bryan

By Anonymous on Mar 23, 2018 12:02 am

It happened. WWE finally cleared Daniel Bryan to wrestle again, and more than likely, his return match will be at Wrestlemania 34. While most of us remain in a state of shock with our jaws dropped to the floor, we can't help but think of all the potential matches that Bryan could have with his latest run in the company, as long as he stays healthy.

Let's pretend that Daniel Bryan can take on anyone currently employed by WWE, the storylines those folks are involved in don't exist, and their injuries are all healed up. Forget the match card and ask yourself, "Who would you like to see Daniel Bryan battle at Wrestlemania?"

While picking from everyone on the roster is quite the task, the wrestling nerds at GameSpot narrowed it all down to 11 matches that we'd love to see Daniel Bryan in at Wrestlemania, even if a couple are a bit far-fetched. And make sure to check back with GameSpot every day up until Sunday, April 8 for breakdowns of all the matches and our usual live coverage.

The Miz

Ever since August 2016, when The Miz went off on Daniel Bryan during an episode of Talking Smack, I have been dying to see the two fight each other. Both wrestlers have a long history with each other, as Miz was a mentor--during one storyline--to Bryan during his rookie year. Bryan later won the United States Championship from The Miz, which was his first title. Sometime later, Bryan won the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania 31 but had to relinquish it a year later when he was forced into retirement. The man that picked up the belt after him was none other than The Miz. There is no better storyline for Bryan than one with The Miz.

John Cena & Nikki Bella (Brie as Bryan's partner)

Understandably, this may not be a dream match for you, but it would draw in huge numbers for Wrestlemania. Teaming Daniel Bryan with his wife to take on his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, all the stars of Total Divas and Total Bellas on the E! network, would put a lot of eyes on WWE. This family feud match could be a lot of fun.

Woken Matt Hardy

Woken Matt Hardy is weird, wonderful, and wild. He's over with the WWE Universe, and the recent Ultimate Deletion was a breath of fresh air to the company, even if the bizarre event didn't fit WWE's normally highly produced standards. How awesome would it be for Daniel Bryan to make it to the Hardy Compound? Maybe he wants revenge for Bray Wyatt, as Bryan was a member of the Wyatt Family for roughly a week or two.

Kevin Owens

After the recent events on Smackdown, a battle between Kevin Owens and Daniel Bryan will more than likely happen at Wrestlemania; however, it will probably also involve Shane McMahon and Sami Zayn as well. What I'd love to see is a simple, one-on-one match between the two. The story is already there, so it's easy for the crowd to get behind.

Aleister Black

If kicks in the face are your thing, then NXT's Aleister Black is a matchup you'd probably love to see. Black has extensive experience in various martial arts, and his in-ring style is proof of that. Similarly, Bryan uses a lot of kicks and knees while fighting, so a matchup between the two of them would make for a cool mirror match, in a sense, as long as the person in the mirror is a tall Dutch lad.

AJ Styles

Both Styles and Bryan have similar stories. Both men got their brief start in the big leagues: Styles with WCW and Bryan with developmental territories for WWE. Both men went on to shine in New Japan and Ring of Honor. Both men dominated the WWE when they were hired on. Sadly, we never got to see them fight it out in WWE--although they did in ROH. This is a match that needs to happen because both men are in the latter part of their careers, and there isn't much time left.

Adam Cole

Adam Cole bay-bay! It may be a little while before the former Bullet Club member gets his call-up to the main roster, but a match between Bryan and Cole would be amazing at Wrestlemania, mainly for the wrestling nerds out there--not so much for the average wrestling fan. Although Cole has a shorter career than others on this list, he has accomplished a lot on the wrestling circuit, primarily in ROH, PWG, and NJPW. Both Cole and Bryan are over with their fans, and this could be an extremely fun match.

Finn Balor

Here is another match fans would love to see, which happened a long time ago on the indie circuit. Years ago, Balor and Bryan fought each other at NWA Empire--under their real names. However, this was early in both of their careers, and both men hadn't entirely developed the style they have today. As far as talent goes at WWE, Finn Balor is on the top of that list for his in-ring ability, so this match-up would be perfect. The only suggestion I have is that Balor doesn't wear his demon makeup.

Johnny Gargano

Fans are counting down the days until Gargano crosses over to Smackdown or Raw, after being "fired" from NXT. Yet again, this is another dream match which already happened in the indies. In fact, they had a few battles together, with the most notable one being where Gargano pantsed Bryan--it's NSFW, so find it on your own. Many people have called Gargano "the next Daniel Bryan," so it seems perfect to have the two square off.

Samoa Joe

It's a bummer that Samoa Joe and Daniel Bryan have not had a match in the WWE. The two had a few great matches in ROH, but they have yet to fight each other here. Aside from both men having distinct styles, it would be a "David vs. Goliath" event, as Samoa Joe is a wrecking ball, while Bryan relies more on speed and dexterity in the ring. If Samoa Joe wasn't injured right now, this could easily be on the Wrestlemania card.

Shinsuke Nakamura

It seems like every match involving Shinsuke Nakamura is a dream match, but no one wants to see these two battle more than Nakamura himself. He's tweeted that Bryan being cleared to wrestle is great news and that "no one needs to wish anymore." Bryan wanted to wrestle Nakamura in the past as an inter-promotional event between WWE and NJPW, but it never happened. Now, there's a really good chance we could see it, and frankly, Wrestlemania would be a great place for it.

Toys R Us Liquidation Sales Starting Soon

By Anonymous on Mar 22, 2018 11:46 pm

Toys R Us is preparing to close all US stores, and as a result, a massive liquidation sale is imminent across its 800 retail locations. CNN reports that the company had planned to begin sales this morning, but those plans have been pushed back to tomorrow, March 23.

Once the sales begin, shoppers will have to move quickly and manage expectations. Stores have reportedly not received new stock in weeks, so a lot of the more popular items may already be gone or will go quickly once the sales begin. Shelves may be emptied as quickly as a month.

Toys R Us has announced it will honor gift cards until April 20. It will also accept purchases made before the liquidation for 30 days, but after it starts, all sales will be final. Toys R Us in the UK is also planned to shut down, while its locations in Asia will continue to operate.

And while it may be thrilling to get a low, low price on those bikes, trains, and video games, you can expect the mood to be somber. 31,000 employees will be laid off by the time the retail chain closes up operations.

Monster Hunter World Updated With New Weapons And Deviljho Armor

By Anonymous on Mar 22, 2018 11:43 pm

Deviljho Update Means New Armor And Weapons To Craft

Like its predecessors, Monster Hunter World is all about the gear. It's a game where you'll fight the same enemies over and over in order to collect parts, all in the name of acquiring the exact set of items you want. Introducing a new monster to the mix--as the latest Monster World Update does with Deviljho--brings some variety to the hunt, as you've got an enemy with different behaviors, attacks, and weaknesses to contend with. But, just as importantly, it also means there's new gear to get your hands on.

With the release of Deviljho, players who acquire parts from the monster will be able to craft a wealth of new gear. There's a new weapon for each weapon type, so you'll have something to strive for regardless of what you wield.

Additionally, there are two new High Rank Deviljho armor sets to get your hands on. The Alpha version will provide you with the following skills:

  • Attack Boost (Level 4)
  • Handicraft (3)
  • Partbreaker (3)
  • Latent Power (3)
  • Speed Eating (3)

The Beta set offers fewer skills; the key difference between the two is that Beta provides more flexibility with the decorations you can equip. Here's what beta offers:

  • Attack Boost (4)
  • Latent Power (3)
  • Speed Eating (3)
  • Partbreaker (1)

You can check out images of all the weapons and male armor above; we're working on acquiring the female armor and will update once we've gotten it. You'll need to be prepared to take on Deviljho, who's among the tougher enemies to face in Monster Hunter World. The monster is now available on both PS4 and Xbox One alongside a suite of weapon balance changes, adjustments to address online griefing while carving, and more. There will be more armor to hunt down in the near future, as crossover Mega Man and Devil May Cry sets are on the way, among others.

68 Cool Images From Deadpool 2's New Trailer

By Anonymous on Mar 22, 2018 11:40 pm

The newest trailer for Deadpool 2 trailer has arrived, and there's a lot to take in. The upcoming sequel to the hit R-rated superhero movie looks to be packing in the blend of action and comedy that made the first one such a success. And while we've already broken down all of the key scenes, there are a ton of cool moments for a video that only lasts about two and a half minutes.

As such, we've gathered up some of the best images from the trailer for you to peruse. While the movie's villain, Cable (Josh Brolin), had already been revealed, we've now gotten an even more extensive look at him, including what kind of threat he'll pose to Deadpool and exactly what he's after. That arm of his is not only good for fighting; he even uses it to slide down the outside of a building.

There's also a variety of other new characters on show, including Domino (actress); Bedlam (confirmed to be the character played by Terry Crews); a young, purple-haired girl; and a young boy Cable is after. That's in addition to returning favorites like Negasonic Teenage Warhead (sporting a new haircut), Colossus, Deadpool's regular taxi driver, Vanessa, Weasel, and Blind Al.

And of course there's Deadpool himself, who continues to use his superpowers in sometimes grotesque ways. We see his neck broken, forcing him to rotate his head 180 degrees so he can resume looking forward. He also takes a gunshot to the hand, allowing him to slide the barrel through the hole so that he can turn his hand and fire the gun at the attacker.

There's plenty else to see in the full trailer, so be sure to check that out along with some other notable images from it below. Cobra Kai And Karate Kid Are Coming To Theaters--Watch The New Trailer

By Anonymous on Mar 22, 2018 11:22 pm

After several teasers, the first full trailer for the upcoming YouTube Red series Cobra Kai has arrived. With the trailer comes news that you'll actually be able to watch the new series in theaters, paired with a screening of Karate Kid.

The one-night-only event takes place on April 25, a week before the YouTube Red original show debuts online. In addition to the film, fans will see the first two episodes of Cobra Kai. Tickets will be available on March 23 through Fathom Events.

As for the trailer, it paints a much better picture of just who the hero and villain are in this revival. While Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) may have been the good fighting against the evil Cobra Kai dojo in the original movie, it seems as though tables have turned.

While former Cobra Kai student Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) is a flawed hero at best, the Cobra Kai trailer shows him to be teaching teenagers to stand up for themselves. Of course, he does it by teaching them to punch and kick their problems away after roughing up a group of much younger bullies, so perhaps he'd be best described as an antihero.

Still, it's impossible not to see Daniel as the villain in this particular trailer. He's turned the lessons he learned from Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita) into shenanigans for his car dealership commercials. When Miyagi was teaching his student to wax on and wax off, chances are he didn't expect the young man to use his skills to karate shop prices, while yelling "bonsai."

Naturally, the roles could certainly switch on the series. After all, the trailer clearly teases one final showdown between Daniel and Johnny. The question is who you'll be cheering on when the time comes. Surely, nobody wants to boo Daniel. Given the judgmental man he's grown up to become, though, you might not have a choice.

If you can't see Cobra Kai during its special screening event in theaters, you won't have to wait much longer. The 10-episode first season premieres on YouTube Red on May 2.

Fortnite Adds New Heavy Shotgun On PS4, Xbox One, And PC

By Anonymous on Mar 22, 2018 10:57 pm

Fortnite: Battle Royale has just received a new weapon. The Heavy Shotgun is available now in Fortnite on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. No additional download is required, and nor was there any server downtime to introduce the change. In addition, Fortnite's Save the World mode is getting a new Flame Grill Floor Trap very soon, but it's not yet clear precisely when that item will become available.

Fortnite's latest big patch, update 3.3, was released last week. That added remote explosives, which allow you to place a bomb and then detonate it from a distance. These are ideal for dealing with player-built fortresses, though their introduction does mean smoke grenades have been "vaulted," meaning those are no longer available in-game for the time being. Remote Explosives come in stacks of four, with a maximum of 10.

No Caption Provided

Remote explosives can be found in treasure chests or supply drops, as floor loot, or through Supply Llamas, another of update 3.3's new features. These are essentially treasure chests found in unusual locations that will reward you with good loot.

Fortnite recently launched on iOS, though it remains invite-only for now. While the port does contain a few notable changes from the PC and console versions, a comparison between it and the Xbox One X version shows it's still quite a powerhouse on phones as well. Who Is Terry Crews In Deadpool 2? New Trailer Confirms His Role

By Anonymous on Mar 22, 2018 10:43 pm

The Deadpool 2 promo that was released last month was typically irreverent, but it provided fans with their first proper look at the upcoming sequel to 2015's blockbuster X-Men spin-off. While most of the teaser focused on Josh Brolin's Cable, there was one surprise addition to the cast, glimpsed very briefly--Terry Crews.

The former football star and Brooklyn 99 actor had never been formally announced as part of Deadpool 2, and it wasn't exactly clear who Crews was playing. The new Deadpool 2 trailer has now cleared up the mystery. While Crews doesn't feature much more than he did in that first promo, we do at least know who he is playing: Bedlam.

Confirmation comes halfway through the trailer, during a montage that shows the heroes that Deadpool is assembling to form the mutant team X-Force. Shortly after a shot of Crews smashing some bad guy into the street, we see Deadpool's hands flicking through a series of photos of potential X-Force members. While the focus is on a man named "Peter," behind that there's Bedlam. Pause the shot and it's definitely Crews--check it out below:

No Caption Provided

In Marvel's comic books, Bedlam--aka Jesse Aaronson--has the ability to project pain and confusion onto his enemies. Whether or not Deadpool 2's version can do the same is unknown, but with Crews in the role, you can bet that he's also very good at hitting. Bedlam first appeared in a 1995 issue of the X-Men spin-off title Factor X, later showing up in the X-Force comic from 1998.

As for the other members of X-Force, no one had been confirmed beyond Domino, played by Zazie Beetz. Beyond that, it's possible that Shatterstar, Anarchist, and Zeitgeist are some of the "morally dubious" mutants that we glimpse, but nothing has been confirmed yet. We've got a full breakdown and a look at all the cool images from the trailer.

Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 16 and is directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde). He replaced Tim Miller, who reportedly clashed with Reynolds over the direction of the movie. Last week it was reported that the film was undergoing reshoots to add more footage of Cable and Domino, who had proven very popular with audiences at test screenings.

PUBG Mobile Tops Fortnite For No. 1 Spot On App Store And Google Play

By Anonymous on Mar 22, 2018 10:36 pm

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has been a phenomenal success on PC since it first launched in Early Access last year, and it's proving to be quite popular on mobile as well. Shortly after releasing on iOS and Android earlier this week, the battle royale game is already topping the charts.

PUBG Mobile has already reached No. 1 on both Google Play and the App Store, dethroning the mobile version of Fortnite: Battle Royale, which was previously sitting at No. 1 on the latter's Free Apps chart. That's an impressive debut considering the game launched by surprise earlier this week, following a few rounds of beta tests restricted to Canada.

Unlike the mobile version of Fortnite, PUBG Mobile is available to all players with an iOS or Android device, which has undoubtedly played a part in its quick ascent to the top of the charts. Currently, only select iOS users have access to Fortnite, as players have to sign up for a chance to take part in the game's invite-only test. It also helps that PUBG Mobile can be downloaded for free, unlike the PC or Xbox One versions, both of which must be purchased.

If you're interested in jumping into PUBG on mobile, iOS users can grab the game here, while those with an Android device can download it here. The game features the same 100-player experience as on PC and Xbox One and works surprisingly well on mobile. However, if you find yourself have considerably more success in the mobile version, it's likely because you're playing against bots.

Nintendo Switch Getting Ark: Survival Evolved This Year

By Anonymous on Mar 22, 2018 10:28 pm

Dinosaur survival game Ark: Survival Evolved has already made the transition from PC to consoles, and later this year, it will also make move to something a bit more portable. Developer Studio Wildcard has announced a Nintendo Switch version of the game is officially in the works.

Details on the Switch edition of Ark are currently scant, but Wildcard confirmed it will offer the same suite of features as the existing console versions on PS4 and Xbox One. The game is due out on Switch sometime this fall as a physical and digital release. It was showcased during an Epic Games keynote during the Game Developers Conference this week

Ark quickly became a major success story after it launched on Steam Early Access in mid-2015. An Xbox One version, released through the Game Preview program, followed later that year, and it's continued to add new features and content in the intervening period. A full release followed on PC, PS4, and Xbox One last year. Although it pales in comparison to something like PUBG (as most games do), it's consistently among the most-played games on Steam.

No Caption Provided

Just recently, Wildcard announced that a free-to-play mobile version of Ark is also in the works. That release is being handled by War Drum Studios, the same developer responsible for a number of Rockstar's mobile adaptations, including GTA: Chinatown Wars and GTA: San Andreas. The first invites for the iOS beta have just been sent out.

New Rainbow Six Siege Operators May Have Leaked

By Anonymous on Mar 22, 2018 10:27 pm

The latest Operators for Rainbow Six Siege were only released earlier this month, but already players are looking ahead to what's next. We know we can expect more new Operators in the next seasonal expansion, but it appears we've now gotten an early first look at them courtesy of some sleuthing by fans.

As shared on Reddit by user Mr_Donald_Duck, images and names of two Italian Operators have been discovered in the PC version's files. Essentially, we get placeholder images that show what each character looks like and what their name is--Alibi and Maestro. Alibi is seen flanked by two translucent silhouettes that resemble her, while Maestro is seen with some kind of backpack and shotgun shells hanging from his chest.

Prior to this, Reddit user Artex3 shared information from the game files that may have hinted at what kind of gadgets to expect from the Operators that we now know are likely to be Alibi and Maestro. These included references to holograms, decoys, and bulletproof cameras. The former two seemingly match up with Alibi's picture and suggest she'll be able to fool enemies with fake versions of herself. Maestro, then, would be left to reinforce cameras.

Bear in mind that these leaks may not necessarily turn out to be what we see from Season 2 of Year 3, and that things could always change. But it's not uncommon for details on new Operators to leak in advance of Ubisoft officially revealing them.

Rainbow Six Siege received the big Chimera update earlier in March to kick off Year 3 of the game. That included two new Operators and the limited-time co-op Outbreak mode, which is playable until April 3. We don't yet have an official date for when the next season begins, but a new Rainbow Six Siege update was just recently released.

Terrific Trailer For It Follows Director's New Movie Reveals A Conspiracy Hunt

By Anonymous on Mar 22, 2018 10:25 pm

Three years removed from the excellent It Follows, writer and director David Robert Mitchell is preparing to release his new film, Under the Silver Lake. It's perhaps a bit more comical than expected, but it looks to be a movie worth keeping an eye on.

Under the Silver Lake follows Sam (Andrew Garfield), a young man who is quite taken with his neighbor, Sarah (Riley Keough). When he finds out that she allegedly moved in the middle of the night, Sam is unsatisfied and pursues answers--which turns into a hunt to decipher secret clues hidden in broad daylight.

"Why do we assume that all of this information is what we're told it is?" Sam says in the trailer. "Maybe there are people who are out there who are more important than us... more powerful than us, who are communicating things in the world that are meant for only them, and not for us."

Under the Silver Lake also stars Topher Grace and it releases in theaters on June 22. It marks the third feature-length movie directed and written by Mitchell after It Follows and The Myth of the American Sleepover and the latest movie from A24, the studio behind Lady Bird, The Disaster Artist, and Ex Machina.

Avengers: Infinity War's Chris Pratt Sure Likes Working With Robert Downey Jr.

By Anonymous on Mar 22, 2018 10:25 pm

It's surely a cool experience to be involved as a major actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, whether because of the money, fame, or whatever else. If you're Chris Pratt, who plays Guardians of the Galaxy lead Peter "Star-Lord" Quill, the highlights of the experience also apparently include getting to work with Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr.

In a new interview with Empire Magazine (via ComicBookMovie), Pratt sung the praises of Downey and shared some of the perks of getting to work alongside him. "Man, he set a really amazing tone," Pratt said. "He's a bit like Tony Stark himself. I think a lot of what makes Tony Stark are the same qualities that make Downey great. I think Downey is about as rich as Tony Stark now. [Laughs]

"He really takes care of the actors around him in a way I've never seen before. I was a little under the weather and pushing really hard on the days I was working. He came up to me and said, 'You doing alright?' I said, 'Yeah, I've got a little sore throat.' Within 10 minutes, there was a person here giving me all these herbs and taking care of me. He offered me the use of his trailer where I could sit down and use some of his hi-tech healing gadgets. It was amazing. I'm living my best life."

Pratt also recalled how, when he was first cast in Guardians of the Galaxy, he heard from Downey before anyone else. "When I first arrived in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Downey was the first to call and tell me, 'Hey man, welcome. If there's anything you need, I will help. There are so few people on the planet who are going through what you're going through right now. I have, so I'm here. I'll always answer the phone.' I feel completely empowered to pay it forward with Tom [Holland, who plays Spider-Man] or Chadwick [Boseman, who plays Black Panther]. I'm not saying that I'm senior to them, other than I got that experience of opening a movie with Marvel and being along for the ride. Now I just really feel compelled to offer them, even if it's a fraction of what Downey was able to offer me, and just say, 'Anything you need, you let me know.'"

If Downey has treated everyone this way, he likely spends a lot of time on the phone--the MCU has grown vast, and Avengers: Infinity War is set to bring together a huge number of characters. Based on what we've seen so far, it's unclear how significantly it will feature either Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) or Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). It will, however, include Peter Dinklage in an as-of-yet unconfirmed role.
