The Flash, Arrow Boss Andrew Kreisberg Fired After Sexual Harassment Allegations

By Anonymous on Nov 30, 2017 12:13 am

Two weeks after he was suspended due to sexual harassment allegations, The Flash, Supergirl, Arrow, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg had been fired from the shows by Warner Bros. Television. Additionally, his overall production deal with the studio has been terminated.

The news comes from Entertainment Weekly, which reports the producer was officially let go after an internal investigation into claims from 15 women and four men that alleged sexual harassment and misconduct. As part of the termination, Kreisberg's name will be removed from the shows. "We remain committed to providing a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions," WBTV says in a statement.

While he was listed as a producer on all four of The CW's DC universe shows, he was most involved with the production of The Flash and Supergirl. In his absence, co-showrunners Todd Helbing (The Flash) and Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller (Supergirl) will continue working on the shows. Additionally, WBTV says executive producer Greg Berlanti, whose company Berlanti Productions is behind The CW's DC universe, will assume "additional responsibilities" on the two series.

The claims made against Kreisberg were first published by Variety in an expose that alleged he made sexualized comments about women, asked for massages from female staff, and touched or kissed people without permission. At the time, the producer denied the allegations. "I have made comments on women's appearances and clothes in my capacity as an executive producer, but they were not sexualized," he said in a statement. "Like many people, I have given someone a non-sexual hug or kiss on the cheek."

Shortly after the Variety piece was posted, several cast members from the various superhero shows, including Melissa Benoist (Supergirl), Emily Bett Rickards (Arrow), Stephen Amell (Arrow), and Caity Lotz (DC's Legends of Tomorrow) spoke out against harassment and sexual misconduct on social media.

The news of Kreisberg's termination comes one day after the conclusion of the Crisis on Earth-X crossover event, which saw the casts of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow unite in a two-night event to fight Nazis from another dimension.

The First Pokemon Ultra Sun And Moon Global Mission Was A Flop

By Anonymous on Nov 29, 2017 11:32 pm

Like the previous Pokemon Sun and Moon versions, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon feature community challenges called Global Missions, the first of which recently concluded. Unfortunately, players weren't anywhere close to hitting the target goal.

The first Global Mission in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon was called "Catch a lot of Pokemon," and it tasked players around the world with a straightforward challenge: capture 10 million Pokemon across both titles in 10 days. However, players only managed to catch 5,442,088 Pokemon (via Pokemon fansite Serebii), which is only slightly more than half of the target number.

Successfully completing the Global Mission would have rewarded participants with 2,000 Festival Coins, while those with a Pokemon Global Link account would earn twice as many. As the challenge ended in failure, players who took part in the Global Mission will earn 1,000 Festival Coins instead, with Pokemon Global Link members getting 2,000.

A similar situation happened last year, when the first Global Mission in Sun and Moon also ended in failure. It also tasked players with capturing an enormous number of Pokemon--100 million of them. The second Sun and Moon Global Mission similarly failed to reach its target, though the subsequent events were much more successful.

The next Global Mission for Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon begins on December 12 and is called "Have Fun Mantine Surfing." The challenge runs until December 27, though no further details have been announced for it yet.

Meanwhile, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon's first Online Competition, the Johto X Alola Online Competition, kicks off on December 15, with registration opening up a week prior, on December 7. The competition uses the Double Battles format and is restricted to Pokemon that can only be found in the Johto and Alola Pokedexes. Pokemon that you transfer to Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon from the classic Gold and Silver versions via Pokemon Bank are also eligible for the competition.

Nintendo Switch Officially Getting Shin Megami Tensei 5 In The West

By Anonymous on Nov 29, 2017 11:22 pm

Earlier this year, Atlus teased that a new Shin Megami Tensei game was in development for Nintendo Switch. Last month, it revealed it as the next core entry in the series, Shin Megami Tensei V. We've now learned that game is officially on the way to the West.

The announcement of SMT V was entirely in Japanese. This left open the possibility that it would not be localized outside of Japan, though that would have been a surprise. Atlus has now confirmed the expected, stating that a western release is planned for the RPG. It also shared an English version of that same reveal trailer from last month, which you can check out above.

Atlus's announcement simply states the game is coming to the "West." The publisher has since confirmed with GameSpot that it will be released in both North America and Europe. A price and release date have not yet been announced.

We don't yet know much about SMT V, beyond the fact that it will be set in modern Tokyo, as is always (at least partially) the case with games in the series. The press release states that "players will face a new onslaught of demons in the latest from the highly acclaimed series."

There's been no indication so far that SMT V will come to any platform besides Switch. Recent entries, including Shin Megami Tensei IV and IV: Apocalypse, were only released on 3DS. That system is set to get a new game called Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey, which is an updated version of Strange Journey, early next year.

Destiny 2 Is Even Cheaper Today Than On Black Friday For PC, PS4, And Xbox One

By Anonymous on Nov 29, 2017 09:34 pm

If you passed on picking up Destiny 2 this Black Friday or Cyber Monday because it wasn't cheap enough, today might be your lucky day. Amazon's latest deal of the day features Destiny 2 at the same all-time low price on all platforms: PS4, Xbox One, and the PC version that released only last month.

For today only, Destiny 2 is available for just $26 (PS4 / Xbox One / PC). That beats out the best Black Friday pricing we saw by a small margin; GameStop was selling it for $27, while others had it for $30 or more. Most significantly, this is a big discount for the PC version, which Battle.net had on sale for $39 on Black Friday.

This discount applies only to the base game. Destiny 2's special editions, as well as its expansion pass that provides access to next week's Curse of Osiris expansion, remain at their regular price. Still, this remains a nice deal for those in the market for the game. If you're still on the fence, you can check out our Destiny 2 review; there's also now a Destiny 2 free trial available.

Today was intended to host the third and final livestream dedicated to Curse of Osiris, which launches on December 5. Instead, Bungie has canceled the event in favor of sharing "higher priority information." This move comes amid growing discontent within the fanbase, as players recently discovered an undisclosed XP scaling system. This limited the amount of XP earned in certain situations, which some have speculated was intended to encourage real-money purchases of Bright Engrams. Bungie has disabled the system but doubled the amount of XP now required to level up.

In terms of what to expect today, Bungie said, "You'll hear from studio leadership about their assessment of Destiny all up, they'll talk about our goals for the game going forward, and you'll also learn about how we're reacting to your feedback with some game updates that will arrive in the next few weeks." We'll report back with those details as they're shared.

Last Chance To Catch Pokemon Go Legendary Dogs

By Anonymous on Nov 29, 2017 09:32 pm

If you've yet to catch Entei, Raikou, and Suicune in Pokemon Go, you only have a few more hours before they disappear. The Legendary trio will only be available in their final regions until tomorrow, November 30, making this your last chance to add the powerful monsters to your team.

The three Legendaries first began spawning in Pokemon Go back in September. However, unlike previous Legendary Pokemon, which were available globally for a limited time, each one was exclusive to a specific region of the world for a month; after that, they rotated to a different region. Suicune can currently be found in the Americas; Raikou is available in Europe and Africa; and players in the Asia-Pacific region can encounter Entei.

As usual, the three Legendary dogs will appear in their respective regions at Gyms as Raid Boss battles. You'll have to team up with other Pokemon Go players to battle the powerful Pokemon; only by defeating the Legendaries will you have the chance to capture them. You can check out our guide on how to catch Legendary Pokemon for tips on how to tackle these kinds of battles.

While Entei, Raikou, and Suicune may only be around for a few more hours, but they aren't the only Legendary Pokemon you have a chance to catch in Pokemon Go right now. Another Legendary monster from Pokemon Gold and Silver, Ho-Oh, is also available around the world for a limited time. The Legendary bird was unlocked following the successful completion of the Global Catch Challenge event and will appear in Raid Battles at Gyms until December 12.

How To Fix Your PC Hardware Issues

By Anonymous on Nov 29, 2017 09:30 pm

How To Fix Your PC

Picture this—you're playing a game and about to pull off a headshot when all of a sudden—BAM!—it crashes to the desktop without warning. Fine, maybe it's sloppy code on the part of the developer, but then it happens again, and in a different game this time. Uh oh, something's wrong.

You decide it's a sign that you should be finishing that PowerPoint presentation you've been working on instead of playing games, so you ignore the issue. But as you load up the program, your PC restarts itself. What is going on? Do you have a bad stick of RAM? Possibly, or maybe your graphics card is dying. All you know is that something is ailing your PC, you just don't know what.

Well, we are here to help. Just as a doctor can run an X-ray to see a broken bone or an MRI to determine ligament damage, there are ways of determining if a component is toast. Here's how.

RAM

Symptoms: Random restarts; crashing to the desktop; blue screen of death errors; system won't boot; corrupted files; full amount of RAM is not being recognized.

Diagnostic Testing: Microsoft includes a free memory testing tool in Windows, which saves you the hassle of burning a third-party utility to a bootable CD or USB drive. In Windows 7, click Start and type mdsched.exe, and in Windows 10 type Windows Memory Diagnostic in the search bar. Windows 7 gives you the option of running it now or the next time you restart your PC; choose the latter for best results. Depending on your PC and amount of RAM, this should only take a few minutes. Your system will reboot when it finishes. To view the results, load up the Event Viewer (Start > Run > eventvwr.exe), expand the Windows Logs folder, right-click System and select Find, and type MemoryDiagnostics-Results. If the report indicates any errors, rerun the test with just one stick of RAM installed, if that's an option. This way you can isolate exactly which memory module is bad.

Hard Drive

Symptoms: Makes a grinding or clicking noise; blue screen of death errors; error messages when moving files; scrambled file names; long wait when opening a folder or file; random crashes.

Diagnostic Testing: If you hear grinding or clicking noises coming from your hard drive, further diagnosis is not needed—backup your data immediately and replace the drive, it's on its last legs. Otherwise, a little bit of testing can let you know if you have a problem. Every hard drive maker has their own utility, and that is where you should start. Here are some links:

Western Digital: Data Lifeguard Diagnostics for WindowsSeagate: SeaToolsHGST: Windows Drive Fitness Test (WinDFT)Samsung: HUTIL (or SHDIAG and SUTIL for older drives)Toshiba: Storage Diagnostic Tool

In Windows, there is also a built-in tool called Chkdsk that scans disks for corrupt files and bad sectors, the latter of which can be software based or represent actual physical damage. The easiest way to run it is to right-click on your drive, select Properties, click on the Tools tab, and press the Check button. Another way is to open up a command prompt and type chkdsk x: /f, where "X" is the letter of the drive you want to check. Adding the "/f" command instructs the utility to try and repair any errors it finds.

Solid State Drive

Symptoms: Slower than usual file transfers; blue screen of death errors; error messages when moving files; scrambled file names; long wait when opening a folder or file; random crashes.

Diagnostic Testing: Unlike mechanical hard drives, there are no moving parts on a solid state drive. That means you will never hear a grinding or clicking noise from your SSD. That said, some of the same testing methods apply. There are way too many SSD manufacturers to list them all out, but check your SSD maker's website for a diagnostic utility. Intel, for example, offers a Solid State Drive Toolbox that can report the health of your SSD and even estimate the remaining drive life. We also recommending running CrystalDiskMark, a free benchmarking program that also examines the drive health of your SSD.

Graphics Card

Symptoms: Crashing out of games; artifacting in games or on the desktop; black screens; slower than expected framerates.

Diagnostic Testing: A bad graphics card or one that is overheating will usually make itself known rather quickly, typically by presenting screen abnormalities. You might see flashing colors, textures could start stretching in extremely weird ways, or the screen may even go blank at times. The best way to determine if your graphics card is defective (either the GPU or graphics card memory) or overheating is by running a stress test or a graphically demanding benchmark, such as 3DMark. The free version (Basic Edition) will suffice. Run the Time Spy test, which is a DirectX 12 benchmark, and any others that are appropriate for your system (as outlined by each test's description). You can also stress test your card with FurMark, though don't run it for more than a few minutes. FurMark is designed to overheat your GPU, and heat is not good for components. In short spurts, however, FurMark is a useful tool for exposing a bad graphic chip or memory.

CPU

Symptoms: Computer won't boot to Windows; PC powers on and turns off almost immediately; Windows freezes; blue screen of death errors.

Diagnostic Testing: It's pretty rare that a CPU is actually defective, but it does happen. In most cases, a bad CPU will prevent your system from booting. That makes troubleshooting a little tricky, because there are a million and one things that can stop your PC dead in its tracks. If you can't get your system to post, carefully reinstall the CPU, checking for bent pins in the process. This will also give you an opportunity to reseat the heatsink, which can be another culprit.

If you're able to boot into Windows but still suspect your processor is faulty, you have two options. One is to swap out the processor for a known good one and see if the symptoms disappear, but you might not have a spare chip laying around. The other way is to stress test. A popular program for that is Prime95. It was primarily created to find new Mersenne prime numbers, but it is widely used to stress test CPUs, mostly to see if an overclock is stable. Run either the Small FFTs or In-place large FFTs test. If you're not overclocking and it crashes, you might have a bad CPU. You can also run OCCT. It was designed to test for overclocks, but like Prime95, it can help identify potentially faulty silicon.

Power Supply

Symptoms: System won't boot; random crashes and reboots; frequent freezing/lockups; makes a grinding noise (PSU fan).

Diagnostic Testing: A bad power supply can cause all sorts of problem, everything from instability to actually frying your components. We have seen PSUs go up in smoke (literally), and it's not a pretty sight.

If you happen to have a spare PSU, swapping it out is one way to determine if you have a defective unit. It's also possible that your components are trying to draw more wattage than your PSU is capable of providing. To get an idea of what size PSU you should be running, use an online PSU calculator. There are several out there, many of which are powered by OuterVision.

Assuming your PSU is beefy enough for your setup, you can purchase a power supply tester to see if there's a problem with the unit itself. The cheapest options cost less than $10 and have a series of diagnostic LEDs, while $15 will get you a fancier version with a built-in LCD.

Motherboard

Symptoms: System won't boot; peripherals are not recognized; blue screen of death errors; instability.

Diagnostic Testing: Since the motherboard is the command center for your entire PC, practically every symptom imaginable can potentially point to a bad board, though the most common symptom is a failure to boot. Keep things simple when troubleshooting. Start with a visual inspection. Look for obvious signs of trouble, such as cracks, scratches, and leaking or bulging capacitors.

If everything checks out, make sure your display cable is securely fastened to both your monitor and PC's output. You can also try connecting your display cable to your motherboard's video output instead of your graphics card. Sometimes a BIOS can be configured to only output through a PC's onboard graphics. Once you're receiving a video signal, you can go into the BIOS and change that setting so that you can use your graphics card instead.

Barring a video issue, the only other thing you can do at this point is rule out your other hardware by checking them with another system, if you have one handy. For example, if your graphics card works in a spare PC but not the one you're troubleshooting, then you can assume the GPU is not the issue. The same goes for your RAM, CPU, and power supply. It's a pain in the backside, but less of a headache than RMA'ing components at random.

Star Wars' Mark Hamill Avoided "Fans" With Wheelchair Disguise

By Anonymous on Nov 29, 2017 09:08 pm

Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill is one of the most fan-friendly members of the Star Wars cast, with daily conversations with fans on Twitter and regular convention appearances. But that doesn't mean he always wants to stop and chat to everybody.

Hamill was recently spotted at JFK airport in New York, hunched over in a wheelchair, leading fans to speculation about his health. However, the actor has now confirmed that he is fit and well, and was using the wheelchair as part of a disguise to avoid unscrupulous autograph-hunters.

Hamill replied to the fan's concerned tweet with, "HA! Arriving 5AM I tried the old 'wheelchair trick' JUST 2 avoid autograph $alesmen/Dealer$ who constantly badger me (& my family) 2 increase value of their items. All the better 2 gouge TRUE FANS later on Ebay #TheyCanGoForceThemselves #NoMoreAirportSignings."

No Caption Provided

Hamill was also in the news this week when he revealed that he was "horrified" by a classic Star Wars scene. When a fan posted an image of a gruesome Star Wars themed-cake, playing tribute to the moment in The Empire Strikes Back in which Luke chops off a Wampa's arm, the star had a surprising response.

"When filming [the] scene I was assured my lightsaber swipe toward camera (creature not on set) would simply singe fur to scare him off," Hamill tweeted. "[I was] horrified to later see amputation and unnecessary cruelty. Wampa was HUNGRY (not EVIL). Luke would never do this!"

Hamill will be seen in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which hits theaters on December 15. There has been plenty of promotional activity for the movie over past couple of weeks, including a TV spot in which Chewie smacks a Porg, and another that focuses on Luke's relationship with Rey.

New Avengers: Infinity War Trailer Breakdown

By Anonymous on Nov 29, 2017 08:50 pm

Marvel has dropped the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, and it's pretty spectacular. Disney and Marvel have been building towards this blockbuster event from the very beginning, laying the foundation for the Earth's mightiest heroes to come together against a threat of unprecedented power: Thanos.

The trailer, unlike the one shown previously at Comic-Con, is very heavy in tone. Marvel have been teasing that this movie will shakeup the MCU in a big way, and if the trailer is any indication, it's sticking to its guns. Thanos arrives on Earth, and it seems Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, and the gang are no match.

But there's more than meets the eye going on in the new Avengers: Infinity War trailer, so we've grabbed a few key moments have put together a breakdown of noteworthy things to consider.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018. It's directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who previous helmed Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War. It's the first of two upcoming Avengers movies that the Russo brothers have directed, with the currently untitled Avengers 4 due in May 2019.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Marvel boss Kevin Feige addressed the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which he has stated will come to a "climax" with Avengers 4.

The first thing we see is Tony Stark, looking very defeated. In the background you can see evidence of the whatever has happened, though it's not completely clear. Presumably this is the aftermath of one of Thanos' attacks. Note that Tony's hands are bloodied but he's not wearing his suit. Perhaps this happened outside of a normal mission, and this is him at the scene of an attack on the city and its civilians. Nick Fury can be heard saying, "There was an idea."

Tony Star picks up the narration with, "To bring together a group of remarkable people."

One of those people is Bruce Banner, better known as the Hulk. Banner can be seen in the bottom of a hole, looking a bit out of sorts. It could be that this is the end of a Hulk rampage, as we've seen this Banner expression a lot after he changes unexpectedly. However, it could also be shock at how handily he was defeated by Thanos, which would undoubtedly come as a surprise to Hulk, a superhuman very few can stand up to.

The next shot shows Doctor Strange and Wong looking down. Based on the holes above them and the lighting, it's likely they're staring at Banner. This could be the first time they've encountered the Hulk, which would explain Strange's dumbfounded expression and Wong's combative pose.

Vision continues the narration, saying, "To see if we could become something more."

In this scene we have Wanda "Scarlett Witch" Maximoff and Vision in a rather nice-looking bedroom. Wanda is in the bed drinking tea while Vision opens the curtains. This is noteworthy because it looks like they're comfortable around each other, which shows that their relationship has developed since we saw them in Civil War.

Then we get confirmation that they are likely romantically involved. No doubt Vision was there for Wanda after the traumatic loss she suffered in Civil War. And it seems he's adopted a human facade as part of their relationship.

"So when they needed us," narrates Thor, "We could fight the battle..."

Thor is staring out into space and the ship he's on looks stylistically like the one featured in the end of Thor: Ragnarok.

The next shot is of Bruce Banner and a character off-screen. Based on the armor, we're guessing that's Black Widow, and the way Banner is acting makes sense since he pulled a vanishing act on her during Civil War. The Hulkbuster arm next to him, we're not so sure about. It doesn't look to have sustained battle damage, so it may be that Tony is testing it out or tinkering with it in Wakanda.

"...That they never could," Black Widow adds to the previous line of narration.

Her armor matches that one seen in the previous shot of Bruce Banner. Note that Black Widow is now sporting a blonde look, instead of her traditional red hair. She looks at something off-screen and smiles, so this could be the moment she sees Banner again, following his vanishing act.

We get a shot of Manhattan and in the background you can see the iconic Avengers Tower. This is probably ground zero for all the destruction that happens in Avengers: Infinity War.

Inside Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum, Strange, Wong, Banner, and Stark turn away from the destruction inside the house to investigate something outside. As Tony opens the door you can see people running by in a panic and police sirens. Over it all is the voice of Thanos. "In time, you will know what it's like to lose ... to feel so desperately that you're right, yet to fail all the same," he says menacingly.

In a moving school bus the hairs on Peter Parker's arm raise; his Spider-Sense is warning him something is wrong. And when he peers out of the window...

... A strange circular structure is floating in the sky. What could it be? Perhaps a portal of some sort, or a destructive energy weapon.

"Dread it," continues Thanos, as Tony, Strange, Banner, and Wong stand among the rubble of buildings. Tony moves towards the camera, removing his glasses to look at the device.

"Run from it," says Thanos. Here, Loki raises the Tesseract, which he reacquired recently. A dark portal opens and from within it emerges...

Thanos. "Destiny still arrives," says his narration. Thanos is travelling light and not wearing the elaborate armor and helmet we've seen him in previously. He looks around, surveying the place, and then smirks ever so slightly. Is Loki responsible for bringing Thanos to Earth? Given his troublemaking track record, it makes sense, but this could also be a misdirection.

In the next shot we get to see Spidey's new costume, which looks to have had some big upgrades courtesy of Tony Stark. It's not quite the Iron Spider outfit from the comics, but that's still an apt name as it looks more metallic, similar to Iron Man's suit. This new costume looks very similar to the one Tony showed to Peter at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming. That armor will certainly be put to the test in this battle--let's hope it's got some tricks up up those tight sleeves.

Thor is shown in the middle of a contraption made up of a series of rings. It looks to be in space, but the question is what he's doing there. Is he trying to pull it closed? Hold it open? Or maybe he's serving as a power conduit, which would tie-in nicely to Thor: Ragnarok. "Evacuate the city," says Black Panther. "Engage all defences."

In a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot, a character can be seen throwing a spear into the darkness. This is Proxima Midnight, who is a child of Thanos and a member of his Black Order. The person in the shadows effortlessly grabs the spear out of the air.

"And get this man a shield," says Black Panther. Who is he talking about? Well there's only one person that uses a shield...

It's Captain America! Steve Rogers is looking much more grizzled than we're used to. He's also no longer in his iconic costume, going for a darker, covert-ops style number that is very reminiscent of something his pal Winter Soldier would wear.

Scarlett Witch, clearly caught off guard, lets out a smile that's also a sigh of relief. Clearly she hasn't seen Captain America in quite some time and he's popped up in a moment of need. Classic Cap.

The next shot is the Hulkbuster armor landing in an open field. It looks to be in Wakanda and likely connects to the earlier shot of Banner standing next to a Hulkbuster arm. Perhaps this is shortly before that? Although Tony traditionally uses this suit in fights against Hulk, Banner looked fairly casual in the previous image, so we're thinking he probably isn't trading blows with his green buddy here.

Among the quick cuts between battle shots, this strange obelisk falls from the sky and plunges itself into the ground. This could be something Thanos is using to take over the Earth, perhaps even terraform it.

Cap takes a break from cracking skulls to look at something that worries him. It's very likely to be the aforementioned obelisk.

Black Panther delivers a crushing blow to an alien enemy, which looks like it's a Chitauri.

Spidey is clearly outmatched against Thanos, even with the Iron Spider armor.

Vision isn't faring any better. We see him being subdued by his enemy and on the verge of having the Mind Stone removed from his head. This stone is essentially his soul and the source of his power, so without it he could die. "Fun isn't something considers when balancing the universe," says Thanos, probably as a retort to a quip from a member of the Avengers.

Here we get a clear shot of the giant gauntlet Thanos wears and uses to house the Infinity Stones. Currently in it are the Reality Stone (Aether) and the Space Stone (Tesseract). With those in his possession, Thanos is more powerful than ever.

"But this, does put a smile on my face," says Thanos. Apparently his idea of fun is to destroy cities and bring the Avengers to their knees.

A second later a single, ferocious punch knocks Iron Man out for the count. This doesn't look good for the Avengers.

Assault rifle in hand, Winter Soldier fights alongside Wakandans. With Cap now back in action, it makes sense that Bucky would also join the battle.

Black Panther, ever the fearless leader, prepares for battle while surrounded by his people.

And Falcon is there to support them.

We get a good shot of Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Captain America, Okoye, and Black Panther charging into battle. Behind them are War Machine, Hulk, and Falcon, along with a considerable number of Wakandans. The inclusion of War Machine suggests that he's recovered fully from the injuries he sustained during Civil War.

Finally, we get the one comedic beat in this trailer, with Thor saying, "Who the hell are you guys?" to the Guardians of the Galaxy. Of course they'd be involved, given that Thanos is technically from their corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Notable absences from this trailer are Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Wasp, and Nebula, who are confirmed to be in the film, but just not featured here.

Watch Avengers: Infinity War's Epic First Trailer

By Anonymous on Nov 29, 2017 07:22 pm

The first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War has been released. The upcoming superhero epic brings together pretty much every hero from the last decade of Marvel movies in their fight against the evil Thanos. Check the trailer out above, and click here for a full trailer breakdown.

In a recent interview, Marvel boss Kevin Feige addressed the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which he has stated will come to a "climax" with Avengers 4.

"There will be two distinct periods. Everything before Avengers 4 and everything after. I know it will not be in ways people are expecting," he said. "We're 22 movies in, and we've got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that's come before--intentionally."

Destiny 2 Server Maintenance Taking Game Offline For 6 Hours This Week, Here's Exactly When

By Anonymous on Nov 29, 2017 06:03 pm

Destiny 2 will be unplayable for a few hours this week as developer Bungie performs server maintenance. The company is taking the game offline for around six hours to perform the maintenance, which applies to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Players will no longer be able to log in from 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM GMT on Thursday, November 30 (that's 2 AM AEST on December 1 in Australia). An hour later, anyone still playing the game will be booted to the title screen. Bungie says the maintenance will end five hours after that--at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM GMT (8 AM in Australia).

Bungie has provided no clues as to what--if anything--is changing; it only says that "no gameplay content or updates will be introduced with this maintenance period." It could be related to an upcoming blog post, which will detail some key changes coming to Destiny 2.

It's possible that post--which replaces the now-canceled Curse of Osiris stream--will address the game's recent XP controversy. Fans discovered that Destiny 2 was limiting the amount of XP you earned when taking part in certain activities, such as Public Events. Bungie acknowledged this hidden system was in place and disabled it, stating, "We are not happy with the results." However, this seemingly welcome change coincided with another adjustment, this one doubling the amount of XP needed to rank up at the level cap. Bungie did not acknowledge this change at first, only later confirming it to be the case and informing players it is working on an update to the in-game UI to make this change clear.

The Curse of Osiris expansion launches on December 5. It will increase Destiny 2's level cap and offer PS4-exclusive content. For more, take a look at some of the new Curse of Osiris armor and gear or check out some Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris gameplay.

The Ting Goes Skrrrahh In New FIFA 18 Video

By Anonymous on Nov 29, 2017 05:24 pm

EA has released a new video for FIFA 18 featuring two celebrities playing against each other on the PlayStation 4. Ordinarily, this isn't the kind of thing that we'd report on, but one of those celebs happens to be a personal hero: Big Shaq ... the one and only.

If you're not familiar with him, Michael "Big Shaq" Deepah aka "Roadman Shaq," is a comedian and Grime artist that shot to fame with his breakout hit, "Mans Not Hot." Performed on Radio 1Xtra's Fire In The Booth, the track is a caricature of roadmans in the UK and has since become fodder for internet memes and parodies. It was even used on the Jimmy Fallon Show to introduce Shaquille O'Neal.

One of the key conceits of the Roadman Shaq character is his unwillingness to take of his jacket because mans not hot. Never hot. However, in the FIFA 18 trailer he's pitted against Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck, and if he loses he has to take off his jacket. It's a high-stakes match for Big Shaq so things get a bit heated. Perspiration ting.

It's a fun video and Big Shaq is on fine form in it; watch it above. Unfortunately, Asznee doesn't make an appearance.

FIFA 18, meanwhile, is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In GameSpot's FIFA 18 review, Oscar Dayus awarded it a 7/10, saying it excels off the pitch. "From the variety of game modes on offer and how everything's presented, to the constant updates in FUT's Team of the Week, Daily Objectives, and discussion of real-world happenings in commentary, FIFA 18 captures the world of football and confidently translates it into a video game.

"On the pitch, however, EA's soccer series is still lagging far behind PES 2018's more fluid, satisfying football. This year's improvements are welcome, but more needs to be done in the coming years if FIFA is to be a world-beater once again."

A new FIFA 18 update has been released on all platforms and makes some changes to how goalkeepers behave in matches, how referees perceive aerial challenges, and has Ultimate Team tweaks. FIFA publisher EA has said it may not bring out a new football title yearly in future. Instead, it could switch to a subscription-based model.

FIFA 18 Update Out Now On PS4, Xbox One, PC; Here's What It Does

By Anonymous on Nov 29, 2017 05:19 pm

A new FIFA 18 update has been released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It makes some changes to Ultimate Team, as well as to how goalkeepers behave in matches and to how referees perceive aerial challenges, among other tweaks.

EA says the new patch fixes an issue where referees would sometimes incorrectly award a penalty when a defender wins a header but also collides with an attacking player. Other gameplay changes include decreasing the time it takes a goalkeeper to recover from a save and get back up to retrieve a loose ball after a rebound. It also fixes an issue where 'keepers would not respond to backpasses.

In Ultimate Team, there is now a limit on how long you can have the PlayStation Dynamic Menu or Xbox Home Menu open while playing FUT Champions; a timer will appear informing you that you'll forfeit the game if you don't resume before it expires. Other changes include some audio tweaks and bug fixes--take a look at the full patch notes at the bottom of this article.

FIFA 18 was received well upon its release, but EA says it may not bring out a new football title every year in future. Instead, it may turn to a subscription-based model. In our FIFA 18 review, we awarded the game a 7/10.

"It's off the pitch that EA excels," we said. "From the variety of game modes on offer and how everything's presented, to the constant updates in FUT's Team of the Week, Daily Objectives, and discussion of real-world happenings in commentary, FIFA 18 captures the world of football and confidently translates it into a video game. On the pitch, however, EA's soccer series is still lagging far behind PES 2018's more fluid, satisfying football. This year's improvements are welcome, but more needs to be done in the coming years if FIFA is to be a world-beater once again."

This year's edition was also released on Switch, but in our FIFA 18 Nintendo Switch review we said the port is "inferior" in nearly every way when compared to the PS4 and Xbox One versions. For more on this season's soccer games, check out our comparison of FIFA 18 vs PES 2018.

The release date of the first Avengers: Infinity War trailer has been revealed. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have been teasing our first first look at the upcoming Marvel epic on social media, but their latest post all but confirms that we will see the trailer later this week.

Yesterday, they posted an image of a large cartoon number three. At the time it wasn't clear if that meant the trailer would drop in three days time or on December 3. However, the latest post is a number two, strongly suggesting that the trailer will be be released on Thursday.

In the build up to the trailer, Vanity Fair this week carried some extensive Infinity War coverage. As well as four different covers revealing the movie's main heroes, Marvel boss Kevin Feige was interviewed about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Feige is confident about the MCU's future.

"There will be two distinct periods. Everything before Avengers 4 and everything after. I know it will not be in ways people are expecting," he said. "We're 22 movies in, and we've got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that's come before--intentionally."

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018, with Avengers 4 following on May 3, 2019.
