With a Predator reboot coming next year--which director Shane Black said will have a larger scale than previous films--and 2017's Alien: Covenant hitting theaters, the two biggest aliens not owned by Lucasfilm seem to be making a resurgence. Together, both the Alien and Predator franchises have put out 11 movies--two of which feature these aliens hunting each other--and quite a few video games, including that button-mashing one in every arcade during the '90s. That got us thinking, how much did each of these franchises make and which one, on average, did better? We took a look at the numbers from Box Office Mojo and ranked each movie by its take in the theater and figured out which franchise reigns supreme. 11. Predator 2 (1990)
A predator turns the streets of LA into its hunting grounds in the far-off future of 1997. Neither Danny Glover nor a Xenomorph skull got people into the theaters to see Predator 2. Wait, doesn't that Alien Easter egg mess with the Alien: Covenant and Prometheus timeline? Domestic Gross: $30,669,413 Worldwide: $57,120,318 10. Aliens Vs. Predator: Requiem (2007)
A struggling pizza delivery boy wants to win the heart of a woman he loves; however, Aliens and Predators come to a small Colorado town, fight each other, and what's left is the most ridiculous movie in either franchise. Domestic Gross: $41,797,066 Worldwide: $87,087,428 9. Predator (1987)
A group of armed commandos finds themselves hunted by an alien. This is easily the best movie in the Predator franchise because it's simple, straight-to-the-point, and mixes horror, action, and suspense incredibly well. Domestic Gross: $59,735,548 Worldwide: $98,267,558 8. Alien (1979)
A flight crew in space finds themselves being hunted, one by one. Alien isn't just one of the best science-fiction movies of all time: It's one of the best horror films of all time. It's the only movie in the Alien franchise that can truly be called a horror film. Domestic Gross: $80,931,801 Worldwide: $104,931,801 7. Predators (2010)
Warriors from around the world are kidnapped and brought to an alien planet where they are hunted for sport. Predators is a fun movie, but it didn't revolutionize the franchise. It tried to expand on the mythos but fell a little flat. Domestic Gross: $52,000,688 Worldwide: $127,233,108 6. Aliens (1986)
It's everything you loved about Alien but turned into a high-octane action film. Aliens, especially the Director's Cut, is an outstanding film that everyone should watch at least once. James Cameron's take on the franchise is so different from the original, but it works exceptionally well. Domestic Gross: $85,160,248 Worldwide: $131,060,248 5. Alien 3 (1992)
Primarily known for going through pre-production hell for a decade and through numerous, insane scripts, Alien 3 isn't the worst movie in the Xenomorph saga, but it's close. Somehow, it still brought in quite a bit of money, mostly from overseas. Domestic Gross: $55,473,545 Worldwide: $159,814,498 4. Alien Vs. Predator (2004)
Ever since Predator 2, everyone wanted to see a movie with Aliens and Predators fighting each other. In 2004, we got it, and while it's kind of a fun watch, it's ridiculous. Come on, the movie is about archaeologists in Antarctica caught in the middle of an Alien/Predator war in an underground pyramid. Domestic Gross: $80,282,231 Worldwide: $172,544,654 3. Alien Resurrection (1997)
Alien Resurrection brings Ripley back to life, 200 years in the future, and also resurrects the long-dead Xenomorph species. What could go wrong? In between directing The City of Lost Children and Amelie, two incredibly brilliant movies, Jean-Pierre Jeunet directed Alien Resurrection, which had a lot of potential. It's just hard to unsee that alien/human hybrid at the end of the movie. Domestic Gross: $47,795,658 Worldwide: $161,376,068 2. Alien: Covenant (2017)
Alien: Covenant delivered the origin of the Xenomorphs we know and love. The movie fell flat, as it was all over the place, but at least we got to see some Aliens. Domestic Gross: $74,262,031 Worldwide: $240,745,764 1. Prometheus (2012)
Prometheus told the story of how life started on Earth, within the Alien Universe. Like most movies in the Alien franchise, almost everyone met a horrible death. Domestic Gross: $126,477,084 Worldwide: $403,354,469 Which Franchise Did Better?
The Alien franchise brought in more money, in total, since it had a few more movies under its belt. Including the two AvPs, the Alien movies brought in $1.4 billion at the box office, which averages out to $182 million per movie. The AvP movies brought its average down from $243 million. The Predator franchise made $542 million, including the AvP films, which averages out to $172 million per movie. Obvious Winner: The Alien franchise

It's the one time of the year where the Raw and Smackdown go toe-to-toe in the ring to see which show is superior. That's right, it's Survivor Series, coming to PPV and the WWE Network on Sunday, November 19. This year's event is taking place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT, with the Kickoff Show starting at 5 PM ET/2 PM PT. It's looking like Survivor Series is going to be one incredible night, as every major WWE title will be on display that evening, but only one championship will be on the line. The afternoon and evening will have eight matches--as of this writing--and one of which will be on the two-hour Kickoff Show starting two hours prior. Here is the full match card and our predictions, and make sure to come back on Sunday for our live coverage. Enzo Amore (c) vs. Kalisto - Kickoff Show
(For the Cruiserweight Championship) Once again, Enzo faces Kalisto for the Cruiserweight Championship. This feels like deja vu. The only real difference between this time compared to the last is that Amore has Drew Gulak backing him up, and Gulak has been utterly entertaining to watch. Because of this, I think Gulak is going to be a big factor and help Amore retain the title. Our Prediction: Enzo wins after Drew Gulak interference The Shield vs. The New Day
This match has a special place in my heart. I'm not particularly a fan of The Shield, but having them go up against Smackdown's The New Day makes so much sense. Both 3-men stables are incredibly over on their respective shows, and this will be the first time The Shield has competed together at a PPV since 2014. As much as I love New Day, Reigns, Ambrose, and Rollins fighting together is a no-brainer for the win. Our Prediction: The Shield wins The Miz vs. Baron Corbin
The Miz makes any rivalry worth while, just by jumping onto the mic. The Intercontinental Champion will be taking on Baron Corbin, Smackdown's United States Champion. Even if you don't like Corbin, The Miz's segments on Raw have completely hyped this match up. Maybe it's the fanboy in me, but The Miz is going to take this one. Our Prediction: The Miz wins Alexa Bliss vs. Charlotte
On this past Tuesday's episode of Smackdown, Charlotte beat Natalya for the Smackdown Women's Championship, which means she'll be facing Raw's Alexa Bliss in a champion vs. champion match. It was such a good move for WWE, as both of these stars will put on one hell of a match. This is a tough call, and even though I love Alexa Bliss, I'm giving the edge to Charlotte, but this will be a close one. Our Prediction: Charlotte wins The Bar vs. The Usos
While on their own, both of these tag teams are phenomenal, the tag champ vs champ match is completely over-shadowed by everything else on the card. It's hard to get excited about this match when everything else has been built up a bit better. For no real reason, we're giving the win to The Bar because they don't raise the bar, they are the bar. Our Prediction: The Bar wins Team Smackdown vs. Team Raw - Women's Survivor Series Match
Completely ignoring the background colors WWE used in its promo image, five Raw superstars are taking on five Smackdown superstars, one of which is unknown as Charlotte has been moved out of the match. It's hard to give Smackdown a fair chance of winning when Raw has Asuka, and she is a beast. I don't see anyone eliminating her, and because of this, Team Raw will get the win. Our Prediction: Team Raw wins Team Smackdown vs. Team Raw - Men's Survivor Series Match
Both Raw and Smackdown hand-picked their biggest superstars--that aren't currently title holders--to find out which men's roster is superior, and both teams have management getting into the act. Shane McMahon representing the Smackdown brand and Kurt Angle and Triple H representing Raw. While having John Cena join Smackdown is a pretty big deal, Raw's team seems more stacked and therefore, will get the win. Our Prediction: Team Raw wins Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles
WWE made a great decision having Styles beat Jinder Mahal a couple weeks back, so Styles could face Lesnar at Survivor Series. Prior to that, the main event wasn't anything to get too excited about, but now that Styles is in the mix, I could actually see this not only being a great match but Lesnar losing. Call me crazy, but I'm giving the win to Styles. Our Prediction: Styles wins

Every season of American Horror Story is messed up in its own, special way, but Cult--the show's Season 7--might take the bloody cake. AHS Cult reached its psychotic finale this week, and some of those scenes are going to haunt our dreams for a long time. It wasn't always outright scary, but Cult touched on some really deep fears that most of us have. And when it went there, it really went there. Some of those torture and murder scenes were legitimately hard to watch. Here are the 23 most f***ed up things that happened in American Horror Story: Cult, starting from the very first episode. Beware of spoilers! 23. Evan Peters Smearing Cheetos On His Face
Episode: 1 This wasn't exactly scary--except it weirdly was?--but either way, it was definitely the biggest WTF moment of the first episode. I think it was a Trump joke about his orange skin, but all I could think about was poor Evan Peters' pores. 22. The Piss Take
Episode: 1 Cult was just getting started when Evan Peters filled a condom with piss and chucked it at some immigrants to fake a hate crime on social media. 21. Ally Randomly Shot a Guy
Episode: 2 It was easy to forget as the season got crazier and crazier, but in Episode 2 Ally shot her own employee in the chest--killing him and leaving his family fatherless--in a state of heightened fear and paranoia. It wasn't the worst thing that happened all season, but it was extremely messed up when you think about it. 20. The Coffin
Episode: 3 Watching this random woman express her greatest fear in agonizing detail--only to be forced to endure said fear moments later--was absolutely chilling. 19. Emma Roberts Getting Hella Stabbed
Episode: 4 As an Emma Roberts fan, I'm glad she got a guest spot this season (she was great in past versions of American Horror Story, especially Coven). It's just too bad it had to go down like this. The really scary thing about this scene was how it echoed the real life murders of Alison Parker and Adam Ward by a disgruntled former co-worker in 2015. 18. Gary Sawing His Hand Off
Episode: 4 This was the best demonstration yet of Kai's persuasive power: He undid his sister and Ivy's work with nothing more than his own charisma, convincing Gary to saw his arm off just to get to the polls. It was horrifying and gross to watch, of course, but what it foreshadowed about Kai was even worse. 17. The Gimp
Episode: 5 This was just straight messed up. It seemed inevitable that the cult would go after Beverly's boss, but him having a gimp hanging from hooks in his attic was gratuitous beyond belief. We never even found out who was under the mask, since they shanked the dude with barely a moment's hesitation. 16. Beverly Getting Even
Episode: 5 You probably guessed what was going to happen to Bob Thompson as soon as we found out that Beverly Hope was in the cult. That didn't make it any less screwed up to watch Bev unmask herself and really savor the moment. 15. Ivy Gaslighting Ally
Episode: 5 There were a lot of questions early in the season: Was Ally going nuts? Were there really murderous clowns after her, or was she hallucinating? Who cut her power? Was there really a clown in bed next to her? Why did the neighbors randomly have beehives in the backyard? Turned out they all had the same answer: Ivy. Props to Alison Pill for making this betrayal so raw. 14. Nails in the Head
Episode: 5 This may have been the most brutal, difficult-to-watch scene in the entire season. Our favorite cult driving nail after nail into Beverly's camera man's head, keeping him alive the whole time, was just awful. He didn't even do anything! It was just a power play for Kai. Ugh. 13. Kai's Parents
Episode: 5 Episode 5 was when we finally got to learn something about Kai: His dead, decomposed parents are still in the house. That's some real basic serial killer s***, Kai--although it made it extra weird that all three siblings were in on it. 12. The Shooting
Episode: 6 Even though Ally wasn't the shooter, like the episode's cold open made us think, it was still severely chilling to watch this shooting play out. Given what the world is like right now, it was just too real. 11. Lena Dunham's Accent
Episode: 7 This fun diversion back to the '60s was, luckily, only partially ruined by Lena Dunham's terrible accent. 10. This Weird Torture House
Episode: 8 Kai and Winter's trip to the preacher's rural torture house was, presumably, where the future cult leader learned that he likes to hurt people. For our purposes, it was just a really f***ed up scene. 9. The Bad Kind Of Incest
Episode: 8 Game of Thrones, this is not, and Kai's attempted threesome with Winter and Detective Jack Samuels--a very gay man, whether or not he wants to admit it--was the bad kind of incest.
8. Kai Murdering His Own Brother
Episode: 8 We already knew Kai was capable of some really evil stuff, but up to this point his immediate family members seemed relatively safe. All it took was one small, well-meaning betrayal, though, for Kai to go full Cain and Abel. 7. Bye Bye Ivy
Episode: 9 One of the actual most amazing things about this scene was how long it took Ivy to cotton on to the fact that she'd been poisoned. It was excruciating to watch the blood spurt from her mouth, and it effectively reinforced one of Cult's depressing themes: You really can't trust anyone. 6. The Manson Murder
Episode: 10 Watching real world cult events like the Jonestown mass suicide and the Branch Davidians raid unfold through American Horror Story's cynical lens comes with a morbid fascination. But nothing in that vein was worse than the recreation of the Manson family's murder of pregnant actress Sharon Tate. 5. Killing Gary
Episode: 10 Gary was Kai's most loyal disciple. Why did he die like this, besides that Kai is insane? Gary was a major douche, but it was still messed up. 4. That Close Shave
Episode: 10 This may just be a pet peeve of mine, but Winter's intimate moment with Kai must have been one of the worst shaving scenes ever burned into my consciousness. She went against the grain the entire time, the SCRRRAAAAPE sound effect was completely overdone, and at one point she hit his earlobe so hard he would have become even more lopsided, had the razor actually been sharp. I'm sure it's hard to act and shave at the same time, but my god, this was disturbing. 3. Kai Murdering His Own Sister
Episode: 10 Maybe he did it because of how bad that shave was. 2. Ally Straight Up Killing This Poor Guy In Cold Blood
Episode: 11 Ally had to kill Speedwagon--a police informant--in her mind, so that his small fry handlers wouldn't interfere with the FBI bust she was arranging. At the same time, she seemed way too into it. Ally got pretty cold-blooded by the end, huh? 1. Kai's Anatomy Lesson
Episode: 11 "Welcome to Anatomy With Kai, an introductory course. Thank you for joining me. Today's lesson: how to make sure you stab the fetus, too, when shanking innocent pregnant women to death." Well played, American Horror Story. Not going to forget that one any time soon.
By Matt Espineli on Nov 17, 2017 01:59 am Let The BattleZ Begin
After much anticipation following its initial announcement, the Arc System Works-developed Dragon Ball fighting game was revealed at Microsoft's E3 press conference. Titled Dragon Ball FighterZ, the game sports dynamic, fast-paced action with visuals that looks to capture the over-the-top aesthetic of the iconic anime series. But the bigger question now is: "Who's going to be in it?" We've compiled all the characters that have been confirmed so far. Dragon Ball FighterZ is developed by Arc System Works (Guilty Gear, Blazblue). The game played on a 2D plane, but its characters are rendered in full-3D. It follows a 3v3 format similar to later entries of the Marvel vs. Capcom series. The game is currently in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and is slated for a February 2018 release. For more about the game, check out our footage of the game in action, as well as our montage of every character intro and win quote so far. You can also check out all of our Dragon Ball Fighterz videos. Android 16
Android 16 is the sixteenth iteration of Dr. Gero's powerful series of advanced artificial humans. Unlike his more hostile siblings, he demonstrates deep compassion towards all living things. Despite his gentle demeanor, Android 16 is willing to do whatever it takes to protect his siblings from danger. Android 18
Android 18 is the eighteenth iteration of Dr. Gero's powerful series of advanced artificial humans. When she's first introduced, she follows Gero's orders to kill Goku. However, her rebellious attitude causes her to deviate from this plan, inevitably leading to her and her brother, Android 17, murdering Gero in cold blood. Regardless, Android 18 eventually joins the Z Fighters due to the kindness and compassion they exhibit towards her at the end of the Cell saga. Android 21
Android 21, a new character designed by Akira Toriyama, is a central figure in Dragon Ball FighterZ's story mode. She's a scientist with an intellect similar to Dr. Gero. Not much else is known about her character, but she does seem to appear with Android 16 in all of the early screenshots. Captain Ginyu
Captain Ginyu is the leader of the eponymous Ginyu Force, a squadron of elite mercenaries working for Frieza to conquer planets. He's a strict, yet compassionate leader who legitimately cares about the wellbeing of his teammates. As one of the few men who reveres Frieza, he is very loyal and follows any order he gives him. Cell
Cell is one of the primary antagonists of the Androids arc, the third major saga in Dragon Ball Z. A mad scientist named Dr. Gero designed him to be the ultimate fighter by giving him numerous advantageous genetic traits and abilities. Future Trunks
Future Trunks is Vegeta's and Bulma's son from an alternate timeline. While the couple eventually gave birth to him in the main timeline, this version of the character comes from an alternate era where the world was devastated by the Androids. Future Trunks first appeared in the aftermath of the Frieza Saga, having travelled back in time to warn the Z Fighters about the oncoming threat of the Androids, as well as to deliver medicine to Goku that would cure him of the heart disease he died from in the alternate timeline. Frieza (Final Form)
Frieza is the emperor of the universe who's responsible for obliterating nearly the entire Saiyan race, which in turn caused the myriad conflicts present in Dragon Ball's earlier arcs. Frieza has a massive ego, believing that he is the most powerful life form in the universe. Gohan
Gohan is the elder son of series protagonist Goku and his wife Chichi. While he shares his father's strength and courageous spirit, he tends to pull away from fighting and only resorts to it as a means of defending his family and friends. Gohan (Adult)
Like his younger self, adult Gohan is a courageous warrior with a strong sense of justice. Years after he defeated Perfect Cell, he would protect the citizens of Satan City under the identity of Great Saiyaman and would go on to become an even more powerful warrior when his potential was unlocked by the Old Kai. Goku
Goku is the main protagonist of the entire Dragon Ball series. He's a Saiyan that was originally sent to Earth as an infant with a mission to destroy it. However, he ended up losing his memory not long after landing, which caused him to grow pure-hearted. Goku constantly trains hard to become a powerful fighter, which often results in him saving the universe in the process. Goku (Super Saiyan Blue)
Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (SSGSS) form, also known as Super Saiyan Blue, is an incredibly powerful form introduced in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F. Goku describes it as occurring when a "Saiyan with the power of a Super Saiyan God further transforms himself into a Super Saiyan." Gotenks
Gotenks is the brash and headstrong fusion of Goten and Trunks. Despite his youth, he's an immensely powerful fighter, though his impulsiveness tends to cause him to blindly rush into a battle. Innocent Buu
Innocent Buu is the first and the least evil of Majin Buu's forms. He's the result of Kid Buu (the original and pure form of Majin Buu) absorbing the Grand Supreme Kai. Kid Buu
Kid Buu is the original and pure form of Majin Buu, reverting back to this state after Goku and Vegeta removed Innocent Buu and all of the other fighters he absorbed. Kid Buu's erratic nature and unpredictability makes him the monster's most dangerous form. Krillin
Krillin is the best friend and ally of Goku. He is known as one of the most talented human martial artists on Earth. While he is often overpowered by many of the series' antagonists, he remains a courageous and loyal fighter that rarely backs down from a fierce battle. Nappa
Nappa is an elite Saiyan warrior and comrade of Vegeta. He was once a general of the Saiyan Army, but after his race's demise, he began working for Frieza. This would eventually lead him on a mission to defeat Goku. Despite putting his all into assisting Vegeta to accomplish that task, he was inevitably killed by the young prince for his incompetence and failure. Piccolo
Piccolo, otherwise known as Piccolo Jr., is a Namekian and also the final child and reincarnation of the Demon King Piccolo. He was once an enemy of Goku, but after forming a close bond with Gohan in Goku's absence during the Saiyan Saga, he changes his ways and becomes a permanent member of the Z-fighters. Vegeta
Vegeta is the crown prince of the fallen Saiyan race. He first appeared as a villain, who worked alongside Frieza and his minions. However, he turned against the villainous emperor in favor of fighting alongside the Z fighters, all while striving to become the most powerful fighter in the universe. Vegeta (Super Saiyan Blue)
Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (SSGSS) form, also known as Super Saiyan Blue, is an incredibly powerful form introduced in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F. Vegeta achieves Super Saiyan Blue form through ki control in Dragon Ball Super. Tien
Tien is a disciplined and reclusive martial artist, and one of the strongest fighters on Earth next to Krillin and Yamcha. He's a descendent of an ancient race known as the Three-Eyed People. When he's not supporting his allies in their efforts to defeat powerful foes threatening Earth, he's usually spending time training with his lifelong best friend, Chiaotzu. Yamcha
A former desert bandit, Yamcha was once an enemy of Goku, but quickly reformed and became his ally. He's a brave and talented martial artist who often assists the Z-fighters whenever trouble arrives; though, this begins to vary as the series goes on and more powerful foes are introduced.
