Fox's X-Men franchise has been going strong, even with the talks of Disney buying 21st Century Fox. Next year, the studio will release X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Deadpool 2, and the horror spin-off New Mutants. Things couldn't be going better for Fox, even though--at times--the studio had a few huge misses with their films. A chunk of Fox's films came out before the Marvel superhero boom as well, so the masses weren't as keen on this genre during the original X-Men trilogy. Over the years, Fox has produced 10 films in the X-Men Universe, and in total, they've brought in nearly $5 billion at the box office, which is incredibly impressive, but how much did the individual movies bring in on their own?
10. X-Men (2000)
2000's X-Men introduced the world to mutants and more importantly, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Domestic Total: $157,299,717 Worldwide: $296,339,527
9. X-Men: First Class (2011)
In 2011, Fox took the X-Men franchise in a whole new direction by setting it in the '60s and centered it around the team forming. Domestic Total: $146,408,305 Worldwide: $353,624,124
8. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
As great as Jackman is as Wolverine, not even he could save this movie. The origin story is uninteresting and gets utterly insane when Wade Wilson is turned into Baraka Deadpool. Domestic Total: $179,883,157 Worldwide: $373,062,864
7. X2: X-Men United (2003)
X2 contained some amazing sequences, like Nightcrawler "bamfing" around the Oval Office and Wolverine going beserker on intruders at the X-Mansion. It is, by far, the best movie of the original trilogy. Domestic Total: $214,949,694 Worldwide: $407,711,549
6. The Wolverine (2013)
Wolverine went to Japan for the 2013 sequel, and while his origin story was unwatchable, The Wolverine ended up being an underrated and fun movie. Domestic Total: $132,556,852 Worldwide: $414,828,246
5. X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)
The worst movie in the original X-Men trilogy made more money than its predecessors. Domestic Total: $234,362,462 Worldwide: $459,359,555
4. X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
The X-Men went to Egypt to take on one of their most powerful foes yet, Apocalypse. Although reviews were lukewarm, it still did well financially. Domestic Total: $155,442,489 Worldwide: $543,934,787
3. Logan (2017)
2017's Logan proved yet again that there is a market for R-rated superhero films, even though Logan isn't a superhero film, per se. Domestic Total: $226,277,068 Worldwide: $616,795,600
2. X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)
Easily, the best film in the second X-Men trilogy is Days of Future Past, which brought in the most money of any X-Men team movie. Domestic Total: $233,921,534 Worldwide: $747,862,775
1. Deadpool (2016)
Sure, Deadpool isn't a member of the X-Men nor is he a mutant, but this character does exist within Fox's X-Universe. Everyone knew Deadpool was a hit even before it came to theaters, but the R-rated movie starring Ryan Reynolds as the foul-mouthed anti-hero not only brought in $783 million, but it also was the top earner out of all the X-Men movies.
