On Sunday, April 8, WWE's biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania, will come to a screen near you. Like every year, there are plenty of ways to watch the PPV, from on your TV to your phone, and we have a breakdown for the easiest ways for you.
The best way to watch Wrestlemania 34, which will save you a ton of money, is through the WWE Network. Currently, you can get a month free to the network if you are a new subscriber, and you can cancel after Mania. If you enjoy the programming, you can continue with the WWE Network which offers events, original programming, and classic stuff from WWE, WCW, ECW, and more for $10 a month.
Cable or satellite subscribers can also purchase Wrestlemania through their respective services, as not everyone around the world has access to internet fast enough to live stream the event. However, the cost for Mania can be up to six times more expensive than the streaming service.
In addition to the ways you can watch the event at home, sports bars and restaurants like Buffalo Wild Wings play the events as well, but you'll have to check with your local spot as not all participate in the WWE event. Obviously, if you're going to a restaurant to watch a seven hour event, you'll be expected to buy food or drinks, so don't expect this to be a free trip.
If you are planning on staying home for the big event, the WWE Network is available multiple ways. It can be accessed through phones, tablets, or through your PC (both iOS and Windows 10 have apps available). Also, the network app is available on certain smart TVs as well as devices like Apple TV, Amazon Fire, and Chromecast. You can watch the network using your Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4 by downloading the app through its stores. Sorry Nintendo Switch users, but the WWE Network is not available on the console yet.
Wrestlemania 34 starts on Sunday, April 8 at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT. There is a two-hour Kickoff Show starting at 5 PM ET/2 PM PT with you can watch on the WWE Network and on YouTube. In addition, the second hour of the Kickoff will air live on the USA Network. It's going to be a packed show, as there will be 14 matches on the card, so strap in for a really long day.

My Nintendo members can also still grab the latest batch of free games from the rewards program. Players have until May 23 to redeem their Gold points for full-game downloads of Star Wars Pinball, Mighty Switch Force 2, Woah Dave, and Fast Racing Neo.
A celestial body above the world of Fortnite: Battle Royale has the community buzzing about what it could all mean. The skybox now houses a comet, which moves separately from the storm, and it appears to be getting progressively bigger.
Kotaku reports that upon reaching out to Epic, it received only an image of Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, the television personality turned meme who appeared on Ancient Aliens. That could indicate something extraterrestrial, or more likely, is just poking fun at the wild conspiracy theories surrounding the comet.
Still, speculation is running rampant. Given the appearance of the comet and a distinct space theme to the most recent Battle Pass, fans seem convinced this is a harbinger of some major change. The comet may strike the map and change it in some way, or destroy it entirely. The eggs and explosion stickers could reference the extinction of the dinosaurs. The Save the World PvE portion could be going free-to-play too. There are as many theories as stars in the sky, but it does seem likely this is building to something. For a time it seemed to be building to an April Fool's gag, but that day has come and gone without an impact.
Helping spur on the speculation are seemingly random controller vibrations. Fans were convinced for a time that this was a subtle clue to the comet's meaning, but Epic has clarified that this is just a glitch. "There's currently a bug that causing controllers to randomly vibrate," read a tweet. "We're working towards a fix on that but in the meantime, you can turn off vibrations in the options."
Fortnite is a huge success for Epic, now setting YouTube records and beating out its competition. The wild success means that any minor change or clue is likely to inspire lots of conversation, and letting the community rally around a mystery is as good a way as any to keep people talking. Just today the game became available on iOS without an invite, so it's only going to get larger and crazier before the comet does whatever it is that it will do.
We're giving away 6,000 Early Access Keys for you to play PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' new map, Codename: Savage on PC. (Entry is open worldwide. Scroll down below to get your key.)
The special early access keys we'll be providing allow players, regardless of whether they own PUBG or not on PC, to drop into the Savage Closed Experimental Test during this period.
The first experimental testing window will run from April 2 at 7pm PDT until April 5 at 4am PDT and access is limited to only players with the unlock keys.
The anime adaptation of last year's acclaimed RPG Persona 5 now has a premiere date for the United States. Aniplex of America, which recently acquired the rights to Persona 5: The Animation in the US, announced today at Sakura-Con that it will simulcast the series on Crunchyroll and Hulu, Anime News Network reports. The premiere is scheduled for April 7, the same day it will air in Japan.
Persona 5: The Animation follows the same premise as the game. It begins with the protagonist--named Ren Amamiya--transferring to Shujin Academy. Soon after, his persona awakens, and he and his friends form the Phantom Thieves. In February, Aniplex of America released an English-subtitled trailer for the series, which you can watch below.
While Production I.G (best known for Ghost in the Shell) made the animated sequences from the game, A-1 Pictures is producing Persona 5: The Animation. A-1 Pictures previously worked on Persona 4: The Golden Animation. Additionally, the game's Japanese voice cast are reprising their roles for the anime, and Shoji Meguro is returning to compose the music.
The first week of April is a big one on Netflix, thanks to the arrival of a slew of new movies and TV shows for you to binge. Thankfully, there's something for just about everyone in the week's offerings, whether you love horror, classic films, big-budget franchises, or even video game adaptations.
Among the new film titles are Bad Boys, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Sin City, and Speed Racer. Joining those movies are the 1995 adaptation of Mortal Kombat, Jackass 2.5, Looney Tunes: Back in Action, and both The Flintstones and The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas--for when you get truly desperate.
As for TV, new seasons of originals Wakfu, Troy: Fall of a City, and Fastest Car will debut. A new episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman will also premiere, with the host sitting down to speak with rapper Jay Z.
Lugia may be leaving Pokemon Go very soon, but two more Legendary Pokemon are set to take its place. Beginning today, April 2, players around the world will be able to encounter Latios and Latias, the twin Eon Pokemon from Ruby and Sapphire.
Both Legendaries arrive in the game simultaneously, but each one can only be found in a different part of the world for a limited time. From now until May 8, Latios can be encountered in North America, South America, and Africa, while Latias will appear across Europe and Asia. On that date, the two Pokemon will swap regions, where they will remain until June 5.
As with most other Legendaries, Latios and Latias can only be found in Raid Battles as Gyms. Players will first need to team up with other trainers to battle the Pokemon, and only once the Legendaries have been defeated will you earn a chance to capture them.
Both Latios and Latias are dual Psychic/Dragon-types, meaning they're particularly susceptible to Dark and Fairy Pokemon. If you don't happen to have any in your collection, Niantic says Pokemon such as Tyranitar and Mawile will also begin appearing in Raid Battles, giving you a chance to amass a powerful team before you take on the new Legendaries.
Niantic has introduced a string of new Legendary Pokemon to Pokemon Go in recent months. Earlier this year, players were able to battle three other Gen 3 Legendaries, Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza. The Gold and Silver Legendary Lugia also returned to Raid Battles for a limited time. Most recently, Niantic introduced a new research quest system that gives players the chance to encounter the game's first Mythical Pokemon, Mew.
Niantic is hosting the fourth Pokemon Go Community Day later this month. The event takes place on Sunday, April 15, and will feature the Electric-type sheep Mareep, though the developer hasn't yet revealed what event-exclusive move it will be able to learn.
It's officially April, which means a new stack of free games is available for Twitch users with Amazon Prime. This is all part of the Free Games With Prime program, which formally began last month and will continue each month going forward.
April's free games are headed up by SteamWorld Dig 2, a fantast-style platformer about digging deep into the ground to see what kinds of loot and enemies you find. Also available are the adventure game Tales from the Borderlands: A Telltale Game Series, the nostalgia-heavy RPG Kingsway, and Tokyo 42, a stealth-action game set in futuristic Japan. Last but not least is DubWars, which pairs Dubstep electronic music with top-down shooting.
Twitch Prime is a perk for Amazon Prime members. All you have to do is link your Amazon Prime account to your Twitch account. Once you do, you can download all five games for no cost between now and April 30. They're yours to keep forever, even if you cancel Amazon Prime at some point down the line. The only slight catch is that you need the Twitch desktop app to install them. To find your freebies, just click the crown-shaped Prime Loot icon next to the search bar on Twitch.
We don't know for sure what free games will be on offer next month for Twitch Prime members, but Tumblestone and High Hell will be part of the program at some point. Other freebies currently available for Twitch Prime members include some neat loot for Epic's popular shooter, Fortnite: Battle Royale.
While Android users continue to await word of when they'll get access, Epic Games has wrapped up its invite-only iOS test for Fortnite Mobile. Everyone with a supported iOS device can now dive into the wildly popular game, which is playable in its entirety for free on phones and tablets.
Fortnite has been a free download on the iOS App Store since the debut of the test in March, though only those who were granted access (by Epic or through the subsequent round of friend invites) could actually log in. If you haven't already, you can head to Epic's website to create an account. To play, you'll need one of the following devices:
Fortnite Mobile Supported iOS Devices
iPhone SE
iPhone 6S
iPhone 7
iPhone 8
iPhone X
iPad Mini 4
iPad Air 2
iPad 2017
iPad Pro
Fortnite Mobile doesn't support devices like the iPhone 5S, 6, 6 Plus; the iPad Air, Mini 2, Mini 3; or the iPod Touch. While that's unfortunate for owners of those, if you do have the proper hardware, Fortnite Mobile presents a surprisingly complete version of the game--weekly challenges and all. That's necessary, given the presence of optional cross-play with other platforms, but the game even holds up decently in comparison with the Xbox One X version.
We still don't have any specific word on the Android version of Fortnite Mobile. Epic has said that it's coming, but we don't know just how soon to expect it. Presumably, with testing on iOS complete, it can now turn its attention to Android--although ongoing issues still have stats disabled on all platforms.
Every major sporting event has people making predictions, and sometimes, predictions come via non-traditional routes like a video game simulation of the "big game," like the Super Bowl in Madden. This year, instead of predicting the winners ofWrestlemania through WWE 2K18, WWE said went an entirely different route and used an alligator to pick the winners for the April PPV.
In the video, former Tough Enough contestant ZZ takes the viewer to his alligator farm in Kraemer, Louisiana--which is 56 miles outside of New Orleans, where Wrestlemania 34 takes place--to find out who is going to win a few of the PPV matches, by way of alligators chomping on pictures. Yes, this is real, and you can see the silliness below.
The gator chose Stephanie McMahon and Triple H, Brock Lesnar, and Shinsuke Nakamura for their respective matches. This is by far the weirdest thing we've seen when it comes to predicting Wrestlemania winners. GameSpot's predictions are much more complicated, as we have chickens peck at giant, disembodied cutouts of competitor's heads--that or we just guess based on where we think the storylines are going.
Regardless of whether or not the alligators are right, this year's Wrestlemania should be a blast, especially now that Daniel Bryan is cleared to compete. The big show takes place on Sunday, April 8 and the Kickoff Show should start at 5 PM ET/2 PM PT--the start time for the Kickoff Show has not been revealed yet. As of this writing, there are 11 matches on the card, including the first ever Women's Battle Royal match, which had its original name changed because of some controversy.
Wrestlemania 34 is right around the corner, and aside from the PPV itself, the entire weekend is filled with events like NXT Takeover on Saturday and the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony on Friday evening. Each year, the WWE honors wrestlers who have worked with the company in the past who made a lasting mark on wrestling as a whole.
This year, WWE is honoring seven former wrestlers and adding another person to its Celebrity Wing as well. These iconic wrestlers will join the ranks of Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and Andre The Giant. Interestingly enough this year, Jeff Jarrett will be inducted. Jarrett had an off-and-on stint with WWE during the New Generation and the Attitude Eras between '92-'99, but he's most known for the creation of TNA wrestling, which began in 2002. He had a tumultuous relationship with TNA after controlling interest went to Robert Carter. However, Jarrett deserves credit for helping with the careers of current WWE superstars like Bobby Roode and AJ Styles.
The only woman headed to the Hall of Fame this year is Ivory. She began her career in GLOW under the ringname Tina Ferrari. She was the only member of the GLOW federation to have a notable career outside of the show. Aside from her in-ring work at WWE, Ivory was known for some of the storylines she was involved with, including being a member of Right to Censor, a stable during the height of the Attitude Era that wanted to make WWE more family friendly.
WWE Hall of Fame 2018 Inductees:
Goldberg (Inducted by Paul Heyman)
Ivory (Inducted by Molly Holly)
Mark Henry
The Dudley Boys (Inducted by Edge and Christian)
Jeff Jarrett
Hillybilly Jim
Kid Rock (Celebrity wing)
You can catch the Hall of Fame ceremony on the WWE Network on Friday, April 6, as well as replays on the streaming service after the event concludes. As of this writing, the time for the event has not been announced. Also, make sure to check back with GameSpot in the upcoming weeks for more Wrestlemania-madness and live coverage of the PPV!
If you're planning on watching Wrestlemania 34 on Sunday, April 8, you might want to make sure you have comfortable seat, food on hand, and a bedpan ready because this is going to be one long show. Last year's show--including the preshow--was rumored to run for six and a half hours and actually ran for over seven. This year's Wrestlemania 34 is on track to run just as long, if not longer.
According to the upcoming schedule on the WWE Network, Wrestlemania's Kickoff Show will start at 5 PM ET and run for two hours. Then, at 7 PM ET, Wrestlemania will begin and is slotted to run until 12 AM ET. In total, that's 7 hours, but since WWE Network obviously controls its own programming and a replay of the event is scheduled to follow, Mania going over the seven hour mark shouldn't be a problem if the time is needed.
The "Big Four" of WWE PPVs--Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam, and Survivor Series--all tend to be longer shows, with each of them lasting at least six hours, including the preshows. Mania always pushes the envelope in terms of the amount of time it wants to keep you glued to the television.
While Wrestlemania 33 was the longest WWE event to date, 2018's PPV will surely top that. As of this writing, there are 13 confirmed matches on the card, with at least one more expected to be added this week: John Cena vs. Undertaker. Even though this is going to be a long event, it should move pretty quickly to fit in all these matches.
This year's event will be held in New Orleans at the Superdome, and in addition to Mania itself, WWE will air an NXT Takeover on Saturday and the Hall of Fame ceremony on Friday. It will be a jam-packed weekend, but we have you covered. Make sure to keep checking back with GameSpot during the week for more Mania news and predictions, and come back Sunday for live coverage of the event.
It's the beginning of a new month, which means Xbox Live Gold subscribers now have another free batch of games to download. Two new freebies are now available for Xbox One and Xbox 360, with another pair of titles set to follow halfway through April.
On Microsoft's current-gen console, Gold members can now download The Witness, the acclaimed puzzle game from developer Thekla and Braid designer Jonathan Blow. On the 360 side, subscribers can grab Cars 2, the video game adaptation of the Disney/Pixar film, at no charge. The latter is also playable on Xbox One thanks to backwards compatibility.
Both The Witness and Cars 2 were actually available to download a little early this past weekend. The former will be available for free throughout the entire month, while the latter will return to its regular price on April 15. Gold members also still have a little more time to download one holdover from March's Games with Gold: the stylish first-person shooter Superhot. That will remain free until April 16.
Two more free Xbox One and 360 games are slated to arrive on April 16. On the newer console, Gold members will be able to download Assassin's Creed Syndicate, the 2015 installment that's set in 19th century London. Meanwhile, EA's horror game Dead Space 2 will be available on the 360 side. Like Cars 2, it is also backwards compatible on Xbox One. You can take a look at the full list of April's free Games with Gold below.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' new map, Codename: Savage, officially enters player testing on PC tonight. The game's closed experimental server goes live at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET ET (3 AM BST on Tuesday), and players can now sign up to give it a try. The test runs from now until April 5 at 4 AM PT / 7 AM ET / 12 PM BST.
You can sign up to access Codename: Savage's test server here. PUBG Corp. says this is a smaller test, and you'll need a copy of the base game already to play. The developer also says it plans to run bigger tests in the future, once it's "gotten the map into a better state."
PUBG's creator Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene has shared some details about the new map. At the Game Developers Conference, he said the island map will be smaller and "should give you all a much more intense and faster paced Battle Royale experience." The map is 4 km x 4 km, quarter the size of the game's two other 8 km x 8 km maps. GameSpot will have keys to give away too.
PUBG Corp. also recently rolled out an update that introduced a weapon skin system to the game. As a way to celebrate the first anniversary of PUBG's Early Access release, the developer is also offering a free weapon skin to all players on PC for a limited time.
A new round of Event Quests is now available in Monster Hunter World on PS4 and Xbox One. Among the missions players will be able to take on this time is the Egg Lovers United quest, and it gives everyone the chance to add another very unusual headpiece to their wardrobe. [Update: The quests are now available for a limited time; you can see us check it out in the video above.]
The quest kicked off on March 29 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET (12 AM UTC on March 30) and will be available in the rotation until April 12. It's a six-star arena quest that requires a Hunter Rank of 11 or higher. The objective of this mission is seemingly straightforward, tasking players with hunting a Kulu-Ya-Ku.
Complete the quest enough times and players will earn materials to craft a Kulu-Ya-Ku helmet, which features an elongated neck and completely covers your hunter's face, much like the popular Wiggler helm. This particular headpiece is a touch more unsettling, however, as it actually resembles the monster's head much more closely than the Wiggler helm did. You can see it for yourself in the tweet above.
If you missed out on getting a Wiggler helm the first time around, the Wiggle Me This Event Quest will return to the rotation this week, giving you another opportunity to craft the helmet. This week also marks the start of the Spring Blossom Fest, the first seasonal event in Monster Hunter World. That will feature daily activities and other special Event Quests, including one for the Mega Man Palico armor.
You can find the full Event Quest schedule for Monster Hunter World on its official website. Capcom recently released a big update for the game, introducing the returning monster Deviljho along with some balance adjustments to nearly every weapon type. Players also had a chance to hunt Tempered Deviljho recently as part of a very short-lived Event Quest, but that will return to the game sometime during the Spring Blossom Fest.
It's the start of a new month, which means a new batch of games have been added to Xbox Game Pass. Subscribers to Microsoft's game service now have access to seven more titles on Xbox One, with an additional game arriving on April 11.
Beginning April 1, Game Pass subscribers can play the Xbox One edition of the acclaimed city-building sim, Cities: Skylines. That includes both the base game and its After Dark expansion. Players can also create their own mods and share them online thanks to a free update that arrived for the game last month.
Other new additions to Xbox Game Pass this month include the open-world hunting game The Hunter: Call of the Wild; the fast-paced first-person platformer ClusterTruck; the action-RPG Portal Knights; the unique side-scrolling strategy game Kingdom: New Lands; the brawler Sacred Citadel; and the crime thriller Late Shift. You can find the full list of this month's new Xbox Game Pass titles below.
On top of those games, the robot-fighting game Robocraft Infinity is being added to Xbox Game Pass beginning April 11. Robocraft Infinity marks the first ID@Xbox title to join the Game Pass catalog on the same day it launches. It allows players to build their own custom robot designs and battle them against other players' creations in Battle Arena and Deathmatch modes.
Xbox Game Pass is Microsoft's Netflix-style subscription service for Xbox One. It costs $10 a month to subscribe and gives members unlimited access to a library of more than 100 titles for as long as they have an active subscription. Microsoft began expanding the service last month with the release of Sea of Thieves, which was the first Microsoft-exclusive title to launch at retail and on Game Pass simultaneously. You can see the full list of available games here.
Sony's next big PS4 exclusive, God of War, is quickly approaching. The action game arrives partway through April, and ahead of its release, Sony has shared a developer video update that sheds some more light on Kratos's new weapon for this adventure.
Unlike previous games, PS4's God of War serves as a sort of reboot for the series, setting itself apart from past entries by introducing elements of Norse mythology and, most notably, Kratos's son Atreus. Another major difference is Kratos's choice of weapon; rather than once again wielding his iconic blades, he instead takes up the Leviathan Axe.
In the video above, the developers provide more insight on the new weapon, including why they decided to go with the axe over Kratos's more familiar arsenal. The video showcases some of the devastating attacks Kratos can perform with the weapon and gives a glimpse at some of the potential upgrades that players can choose for it during the course of the game.
Sony announced that God of War had gone gold earlier this month, meaning the game is ready to be sent off for manufacturing. It is scheduled to release for PS4 on April 20. It will launch alongside a special edition PS4 Pro bundle that features a God of War-themed console and some digital content. It also gets a performance mode with PS4 Pro even if you don't have a 4K display.
Hulu isn't playing around. The streaming service is not only adding a ton of new movies in April, but it will present the Season 2 premiere of its biggest original series--the Emmy-winning The Handmaid's Tale.
The show, which stars Elizabeth Moss and will see Marisa Tomei appear as a special guest in Season 2, returns on April 25. That day, the first two episodes will become available for streaming, with new installments following every Wednesday.
As for movies, Hulu is massively beefing up its film library with the addition of several classics, franchises, and animated favorites. April will see the arrival of Con Air, Friday the 13th, six The Land Before Time films, and the original Carrie.
Unfortunately, there's a bit of bad news. While the streamer is adding dozens of titles, there are also some that will disappear on April 30. This is your final chance to stream All Dogs Go To Heaven, An Officer and a Gentleman, Look Who's Talking, Red State, and Mystic Pizza, among other films.
You can take a look at everything coming and going on Hulu below. After that, check out Netflix and Amazon Prime Video's offerings for the month of April.

Far Cry 5 is finally here. And we liked it a lot. In addition to the main game and the online modes, the new Ubisoft open-world action game comes with a map editor that lets you create custom maps and gametypes for the Arcade mode.
In the video above, GameSpot's Jake Dekker and Jean Luc-Seipke create a map from scratch on PC and provide some tips on how to make the most of the tools. As you'll see, the map-maker is very robust and mostly easy to use. You can customise things like the the phase of the moon and the terrain, while you can also add tons of different objects to the game.
Intriguingly, the map-making tools also let you bring in objects from previous Far Cry games, as well as other Ubisoft games such as Watch Dogs. That'll likely result in some wacky creations. You can see some of the best and worst maps so far.
Far Cry 5 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. For more, you can watch the game's first 11 minutes or see its weirdest mission, which involves something called the Testicle Festival. Expect to hear much more in the weeks ahead--Ubisoft has extensive DLC plans that include some silly-sounding concepts. For an idea of what to expect from the base game, check out our Far Cry 5 review.
Each month, Netflix's original programming library grows by leaps and bounds. However, with the good comes the bad. As streaming agreements end, a long list of movies and TV shows is pulled from the service every month.
April is no different, and some of these movies leaving Netflix are going to hurt. The most notable titles to depart the service are Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin. Though the four films encapsulate the law of diminishing returns perfectly--with 1997's Batman & Robin widely considered the worst film adventure for the Caped Crusader yet--having them all in one place for a massive binge is comforting. Instead, you'll just have to make due watching Tommy Wiseau's Joker audition tape several dozen times.
Other titles leaving Netflix include 30 Days of Night, American Pie, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Pursuit of Happyness. Additionally, the comedy special John Mulaney: New in Town departed on April 1, with the Banksy documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop disappearing on April 22.
As it so often does, Twitch is offering another batch of free in-game goodies to Amazon Prime members, this time for Epic's popular shooter Fortnite. Right now, those with a Prime account will be able to claim the Fortnite Twitch Prime Pack, which includes cosmetics and other items for both Battle Royale and Save the World modes.

April is officially upon us, which means Pokemon Go players only have a few more hours to catch its current Legendary. The Pokemon Silver mascot Lugia is scheduled to leave the game today, April 2, making this your last opportunity to add one to your collection for the foreseeable future.
Lugia was one of the first Legendaries introduced in Pokemon Go, originally appearing as a Raid Battle boss last summer alongside another Legendary bird, Articuno. Niantic reintroduced Lugia to the game earlier this month, although players will find it is slightly different from its initial run.
As before, players will encounter Lugia as a Raid Battle at Gyms. This time around, however, it knows the "newly improved" Flying-type move Sky Attack. Lugia should also prove to be easier to capture than it originally was, although you will still need to defeat it first in order to get that opportunity. You can find tips on how to catch Lugia in our guide.
Niantic hasn't announced if Lugia will return to the game again in the future, but it certainly wouldn't be a surprise. Several Legendaries have reappeared in Pokemon Go following their initial run, most recently Groudon and Kyogre, both of which returned as Raid bosses during last month's Legendary Week event.
April 2 also marks the day Pokemon Go's Easter Eggstravaganza event ends. For a few more hours, Pokemon that normally hatch from 5 km or 10 km Eggs, such as Wynaut or Ralts, can be hatched from 2 km Eggs. Players will also earn extra Candy for every Egg they hatch during the event.
Publisher Titan Comics has adapted some of today's biggest video game franchises into comics recently, and now another popular series will get the comic treatment in the near future. This time, Titan is partnering with Square Enix to release a comic line based on Life Is Strange, which is set to debut later this year.
"Launching with a four-part miniseries in 2018, Titan Comics' Life Is Strange returns readers to the setting of Arcadia Bay, offering fans the opportunity to dive back into the story of its beloved characters," Titan announced. The publisher also provided an image of Blackwell Academy, which will presumably serve as an important setting in the Life Is Strange comic. You can take a look at that below.
Titan hasn't shared any additional information about its Life Is Strange comics, so we don't yet know who will be writing and illustrating the series. More details are expected to be announced "soon," possibly during C2E2 this week in Chicago.
Life Is Strange is an acclaimed episodic adventure game. The first title released in 2015 and revolved around the story of Max Caulfield, who discovers she has the ability to rewind time. It was followed by a prequel called Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, which takes place three years before the original and focuses on Chloe Price. The final episode of Before the Storm, Hell Is Empty, released back in December.
The start of a new month is here, and for digital subscription services, that means it's out with the old and in with the new. Sony's PlayStation Plus line-up will rotate on Tuesday, April 3, which means the next few days are your last chance to get March's selection of free games.
Once April 3 comes, they'll each go back up to their regular price. As always, claiming these games before the change-over means you can play them as long as you have your Plus subscription. The April PS Plus line-up is no slouch itself, headlined with Mad Max and Trackmania Turbo. Other offerings include Q-Bert Rebooted, In Space We Brawl, Toy Home, and 99 Vidas.
PlayStation Plus routinely offers games spread across PS4, PS3, and Vita, but those days are numbered. The company recently announced that PS3 and Vita games will no longer be offered as part of the program starting on March 8, 2019. Any games you've already added to your digital account through the program will remain valid as long as you're a Plus subscriber, but chances are the sheer number of Plus offerings per month will drop at that point.
Far Cry 5 is a sizable game. It boasts a large, open-world experience with a story that can take 25 hours or much more to complete, and it offers a playground that you can play around in indefinitely. But its long-term appeal lies in the Arcade, a new map editor mode that allows players to craft their own experiences.
Arcade can be used to create a wide array of experiences (even using assets from other Ubisoft franchises, like Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs) for single-player, co-op, and competitive multiplayer. Just as importantly, these creations can be shared online, giving you a potentially endless set of levels to check out. In the video above, we run through some of the best and worst maps that we've encountered so far. Some of these are fairly straightforward concepts, while the appeal of others lies in their references to other game franchises. We check out a Zelda map of dubious quality (which is nonetheless worth a try), a Hotline Miami-inspired level with one-hit kills where you throw bats as weapons, and another that is essentially a linear horror map.
Ubisoft offers its own Arcade creations that you'll encounter while playing Far Cry 5, which showcase exactly what's possible. Many of those you'll find online from other players are, unfortunately, somewhat lacking--as our Far Cry 5 review notes, "There are a lot of bland examples out there ... It's easy to weed out the duds when picking and choosing single-player levels, but when it comes to multiplayer, you leave some of it up to chance." That's because multiplayer lobbies allow three players to propose a possible level, and everyone then votes on those selections and one that's chosen by the server.
As you play, you're also able to vote on maps you like and dislike, so there is some built-in system that will hopefully help the best content to eventually surface in-game. You can also try out Arcade Hero, a mode where you randomly play through newer maps. Our reviewer, Edmond Tran, found it difficult to get into multiplayer matches this way, but it works well for single-player and co-op content--though the quality of what you're playing may vary wildly. On the bright side, you do get bonus experience for participating in Arcade Hero, and that progress feeds back into the currency and Perks you use in Far Cry 5's main campaign.
If you're interested in creating your own content, we have tips on how to get started in Far Cry 5 Arcade. Otherwise, you can check out the maps featured in our video through the links below.
Map 1: Country War

Quick pitch: An open map that's missing textures and things to do.
With the recent release of Far Cry 5, Ubisoft Montreal has added yet another open-world to the Ubisoft portfolio. This time, however, the formula is a bit different.
In the video above, Mike Mahardy takes a closer look at the changes that set Far Cry 5 apart from other games in the series, and push the open-world structure in a promising direction. Everything from side quests to navigation have been revamped, making Hope County, Montana, one of the best sandboxes in recent memory.
The next chapter in Kazuma Kiryu's life sees him balancing a criminal past with raising a baby--the child of his own adopted daughter Haruka, who's in a coma after a hit-and-run. Kiryu must investigate what happened, all the while throwing down in street fights and engaging in the series' trademark minigames.
Speaking of taking care of kids, Kratos has a son named Atreus. He'll accompany the demigod as he battles the Norse pantheon in a new, much more open adventure. There are bigger areas to explore and optional bosses to take down as Kratos finds more outlets for this untamable rage.
Nintendo Labo is a unique concept: build peripherals called Toy-Cons from cardboard, then use them to play minigames. There are cardboard blueprints included, but the real hook is building any contraption you want, then programming it to work with the Joy-Cons using the Toy-Con Garage mode.
On the not-so-kid-friendly side, the latest South Park adventure is coming to Switch this month. This sequel sees the residents of South Park dressing up as superheroes, and as the new kind in town, you can pick your own superpowers and choose a side.
