With an open beta kicking off in just a few days, Dawn of War III developer Relic has released a lengthy new video of it in action.
Rather than merely show off gameplay, the video features commentary from director Philippe Boulle and designer Carolina Mastretta talking through a full 3v3 multiplayer match. The two provide some analysis of how things play out.
The tips they share should come in handy soon, as an open beta for the game takes place this weekend. All three factions will be available, and you'll be able to customize both their look and play style with a limited selection of Doctrines. Not all Elite units or maps are included, and you'll be limited to playing against other humans--AI matches and the campaign will have to wait for the official release. Any progress made in the beta won't carry over to the full game.
Dawn of War III's open beta begins at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET/6 PM GMT on Friday, April 21, and concludes at the same time on April 24. The full game follows not long after, launching on April 27, with three different versions available.
Captain Marvel will be Marvel's first female-fronted superhero movie, and it hits theaters in 2019. There has been much speculation about who will direct the film over the past year, and now, it has been reported that it will in fact have two directors.
According to Variety, the film will be helmed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The pair previously made the acclaimed gambling drama Mississippi Grind, which starred Ryan Reynolds and Ben Mendelsohn. Boden and Fleck also collaborated on Ryan Gosling's breakthrough movie Half Nelson and have directed episodes of hit TV shows The Affair and Billions.
Captain Marvel will star Oscar-winner Brie Larson in the title role. Although Larson was announced last summer, Marvel has taken its time to find a director. Back in August 2016, it was reported that Lesli Linka Glatter (Homeland), Niki Caro (Whale Rider), and Lorene Scafaria (Seeking a Friend for the End of the World) were all on the studio's shortlist.
Earlier this year, Larson spoke about the importance of taking on this iconic role. "The fact that she can be a bridge between two worlds, that she can go between Earth and space and that her own personal place is in this little area between where Earth ends and space begins and that's only hers, is so moving to me," she said. "I'm just inspired. I've been so inspired going through the comics and reading them right now."
Captain Marvel has been the name of various heroes over the years. The current incarnation is the alter ego of Carol Danvers. Danvers previously used the name of Ms. Marvel and first appeared in her own comic book in 1977, before taking the identity of Captain Marvel in 2012.

With Nintendo Switch finally out now, excitement is building over the plethora of games releasing for it in the coming months. To help you keep track of all of them, we've compiled a list below of every game confirmed for the console/handheld hybrid. Be sure to check back often as we update this feature with new games as they get announced.
Digital sales made nearly three times as much money as physical sales in the US during 2016, according to a new report by the Entertainment Software Association.
More precisely, NPD figures say 74% of sales in the US came via "subscriptions, digital full games, digital add-on content, mobile apps, and social network games," while 26% came from traditional boxed titles. Together, the categories generated a total of $24.5 billion, with an extra $3.7 billion coming from hardware and $2.2 billion from VR.
Digital is making up a larger proportion of video game sales each year; its share has risen every year since 2010, when the digital:physical split sat at 31:69. Total spend has also increased every year over the same period.
By comparison, physical makes up "almost 50% of all the revenue generated from games and games-related items" in the UK, according to GamesIndustry.
"Like everything else, the consumer is ultimately going to default to convenience," he said. "If it's a choice of getting in the car and driving to the store and the weather is bad outside, if you want to download it, I think you'll see more people do that."
Elsewhere in the report, the ESA states that "67% of US households own a device that is used to play video games," while the average age of a US gamer is apparently 35. Graphics continue to play a huge part in deciding whether to buy a game, meanwhile: 67% of respondents cited it as a factor, making it the single biggest consideration, before even price (65%) or "an interesting story/premise" (59%).
The survey, which was carried out by market research firm Ipsos, gathered data from "over 4000 households," though the number of individual respondents is not disclosed.

Ubisoft, publisher of big franchises such as Far Cry, Assassin's Creed, and Watch Dogs, is expanding by opening two new development studios in Europe this year.
The first will be based in Berlin, Germany, and will work closely with the Ubisoft-owned Blue Byte on an "unannounced AAA project." Blue Byte most recently made Anno 2205 and assisted Ubisoft Montreal on the development of For Honor and Rainbow Six Siege.
Ubisoft is currently working on a new Assassin's Creed game, which the company says will be released "when it's ready;" it's also likely the publisher is working on other unannounced projects.
Ubisoft Bordeaux, meanwhile, will operate out of south-west France and assist the company's other French studios, including those in Paris, Annecy, and Montpellier. Those development houses have recently led the making of Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Steep, and Just Dance 2017, among other projects.
The remastered version of Wild Guns, a sci-fi/western shooting gallery game for SNES, is headed to PC later this year.
Wild Guns Reloaded, which was released on PS4 late last year, has been announced for release on Steam. Reloaded features improved visuals, two new characters (with their own unique weapons), new stages, new bosses, and support for four-player local multiplayer. There are also online rankings but, unfortunately, no online multiplayer.
Developer and publisher Natsume says this is not just the first appearance of Wild Guns on PC, but the company's first release on the platform. It's one of "several" games the company will have to show off at E3 in June.
GameSpot's review of Wild Guns Reloaded on PS4 was positive, awarding the game an 8/10. "Between the fine-tuned gameplay, the enhanced visuals and sound, the four-player fun, and the new gameplay-changing character additions, Wild Guns Reloaded is one of the best retro reissues we've yet seen on the PS4," Heidi Kemps wrote.
Reloaded launches for Steam sometime this summer. A price wasn't announced, but the PS4 version sells for $30.
The Nintendo Switch remains difficult to track down six weeks after its release, but you can order one from GameStop right now. The catch: you may have to wait a few weeks, and it'll cost you $500.
Add it all up using GameStop's $60 price on the microSD card, and it comes out to $500, so it's not as if you're being overcharged for this. You'll simply need to want everything that's included for the bundle to be a worthwhile deal.
Switch has been routinely sold out since its launch in early March, and GameStop previously said on a call with investors that supply issues could last all year.
If you're interested, you can order the bundles here (gray) or here (neon). GameStop says they'll ship by no later than May 5. With Mario Kart 8 Deluxe releasing on April 28, you probably shouldn't expect to see your delivery any sooner than that.
Echo has also been given a little boost: his Yokai drone's disorienting effect will now work if you hit any part of your opponent's body, as Ubisoft felt it was too difficult to hit enemies' heads.
Montagne players may be disappointed with the latest update however, as his hip-fire spread while using the LFP586 has been increased, especially at mid- to long-ranges.
The full list of changes can be seen below, via Ubisoft. The publisher also promises that it is working on a fix for Hibana's gadget, which at seemingly random times doesn't detonate. However, that fix will not come in this update.
The update arrives today for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, meaning servers will be unavailable for one hour starting at the following times:
PS4: 6 AM PST / 9 AM ET / 2 PM BST
Xbox One: 7 AM PST / 10 AM ET / 3 PM BST
PC: 8 AM PST / 11 AM ET / 4 PM BST
Rainbow Six Siege Update 2.1.3 Patch Notes
Gameplay
FIXED – If the entire enemy team is kicked for team killing, the winning team does not gain any MMR.
FIXED – Operators are able to deploy their gadgets while prone.
FIXED – The Death From Above bonus applies to all kills when initiated while rappelling.
FIXED – The DBNO timer is not paused when a teammate is reviving a downed player.
FIXED – Shield Operators were utilizing an ancient technique to reload their pistols instantly. The knowledge for how to perform this reload has once again been forgotten.
FIXED – Operators sometimes get stuck to a Barricade when placing a Breaching Charge on a Barricade that is partially damaged. The Defenders now properly dispose of their gum in trash receptacles.
FIXED – Gadget deployment does not trigger properly when a sidearm is in use.
FIXED – Reloading does not always properly reload the weapon, even if the animation plays. Bandit's April Fools joke of replacing some magazines with empty ones was not received well by Rainbow Six Actual.
FIXED – Barricades and Reinforced Walls are not properly displaying for all players.
FIXED – Some players are able to exit and re-enter ADS with shields instantly. Shields are heavy, you can't flap them around.
FIXED – Players are able to achieve full ADS accuracy without fully aiming down sights.
Game Mode
Caster Camera
FIXED – Spectating a player on Oregon in the Basement will cause the camera to switch floors.
Terrorist Hunt
FIXED – Players will see a broken animation when an Attacking Operator with a shield uses the refill station.
Custom Game
FIXED – Mira's One Way Mirror cannot be ejected if Friendly Fire is deactivated.
Operators
Montagne
FIXED – Montagne places his left hand on an invisible shield in the MVP screen when viewed by other players.
LFP586 hip fire spread has been increased: We felt like Montagne paired with the LFP586 + laser sight was overall too strong at medium and longer range encounters, so we have increased the hip fire spread of the gun. Montagne won't be able to quickly shut down his opponent without having to expose himself anymore, given that there is a decent distance between the two.
Twitch
FIXED – Shock Drone will kill players that are using Rook's Armor Plates, as opposed to downing them.
FIXED – The Shock Drone makes no sound effect when destroyed.
FIXED – Twitch does not have any audio barks when the Maquis Legendary Uniform is equipped.
Mute
FIXED – MP5K Iron Sights are missing the glow on the front sight post.
Fuze
FIXED – Fuze's gloves will now match his uniform. He confirmed that he will not be forgetting items from the packing list again.
Hibana
FIXED – X-KAIROS Pellets disappear if they are shot while a player is leaning around cover.
X-KAIROS pellet bug status: We have been investigating the issue with Hibana's gadget randomly not detonating for a long time, and once we found the resolution to this issue we realized it is much more complex than we had expected. After significant testing and tweaking, we decided that the only way to resolve the issue was to rebuild the backend design of Hibana's gadget. This is not an easy task, but we have targeted this to be completed within Y2S2. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Kapkan
FIXED – EDD can be deployed through an object, causing a broken animation.
Echo
FIXED – Yokai can be thrown directly onto the ceiling and will stick to it.
FIXED – Sonic Burst disorient effect hits twice on certain Operators with gadgets in their hands.
FIXED – Yokai's crosshair does not display that a susceptible target is being aimed at.
FIXED – Yokai cannot disorient teammates during the Preparation Phase.
FIXED – Yokai drone cannot be destroyed by projectile explosion while in camo.
Yokai Drone disorients a player if it hits any body part: Echo's Yokai drone's sonic burst now registers all body parts as a valid hit surface to trigger the disorientation effect on the opponent. We felt like it was really hard to hit the head (even more so on consoles), so we're giving Echo players a lot more room for imprecision to trigger the effect.
Tachanka
FIXED – LMG makes no sound when being deployed or picked up if the shield is destroyed.
FIXED – LMG shield appears visible momentarily after being redeployed if the shield was previously destroyed.
FIXED – Player does not properly "attach" to the LMG after vaulting over an object.
Caveira
FIXED – Damage displayed in the kill camera is too high.
Mira
FIXED – Placing the Black Mirror on reinforced walls separated by an indestructible pillar will cause the gadget to only partially deploy.
FIXED – It is possible to melee drone from the opposite side of an unbroken Black Mirror.
FIXED – Improper behavior of wall during deployment of the Black Mirror on walls with metal beams.
FIXED – Objects on the walls are destroyed after Black Mirror activation, as opposed to during the deployment animation.
Jackal
FIXED – Weapon becomes invisible after quickly activating and deactivating the Hunter Vision repeatedly.
IQ
FIXED – IQ has the wrong nail polish color in 3rd person view.
Thermite
FIXED – Red LED on the Exothermic Charge remains on after removing the charge.
Glaz
FIXED – Hip-firing with the OTS-03 results in a perfectly circular shot pattern, as opposed to shots landing at the point of aim.
Tweaks to Glaz's scope will make it easier to know when a shot lands or misses:
After shipping the new scope for Glaz with the Velvet Shell Mid-Season Reinforcements, we noticed that the blood splatter visual effects were not working properly. This called into question whether hits would land on the player's opponent or not. We have also reduced the noise created by the thermal lens, which caused the yellow highlight to bleed from the edges of the character, which gave the player a false sense of where the opponent's body begins and ends. As a result, players will be able to see much better when a hit lands and when it doesn't.
Reduced the noise on the edges of the highlighted enemy.
Lowered the contrast of the teal tint of the lens.
Lowered the contrast of the yellow highlight on opponents.
Fixed the blood splatters effect not appearing on successful shots.
Level Design
Bartlett University
FIXED – Placing the Black Mirror on non-reinforced walls with paintings on the other side will not destroy the props and will obscure vision.
FIXED – Invisible collision causes drones to appear as if they are floating in the Library.
Chalet
FIXED – Players cannot vault over a Deployable Shield if placed at 2F Library Hallway doorway.
FIXED – Yokai can destroy and stick to shelves that are midway up the wall.
House
FIXED – X-KAIROS Pellets do not penetrate the top window of the Upper Hallway stairwell when fired from the outside tower.
Consulate
FIXED – Wall is not fully destroyed when Black Mirror is activated on it in "B Electric Room".
Oregon
FIXED – Deployable gadgets are instantly destroyed when shooting at the indestructible table in B Laundry Room.
User Experience
FIXED – Players do not receive any points when killing an enemy with a gadget after the player has died.
FIXED – Firing pin group does not follow the slide for the USP or Mk1 9mm.
FIXED – When shooting at least two times before detonating, X-KAIROS pellets do not produce any sound in third person.
FIXED – IQ has the wrong nail polish color in 3rd person view. She was very excited to show off her latest manicure.
FIXED – Wrong placement for Shields in the Winning Showcase.
FIXED – DBNO audio remains present after reviving the DBNO Operator.
FIXED – Any equipped gadget is invisible if held for more than 9 seconds with one hit key (advanced deployment option) in hand in the End of Round replay or any replay.
Dead Cells, an intriguing new game that combines elements of Castlevania, roguelikes, and Dark Souls, arrives on Steam in Early Access in just a few weeks.
Developer Motion Twin today announced that Dead Cells arrives for PC in Early Access on May 10, with Mac and Linux versions to follow at a later time. A price has not yet been announced, but you can expect to see 30-40% of the full game's content available in the Early Access version.
Dead Cells is, as Motion Twin puts it, a "RogueVania" game, combining elements of Metroidvania-style games with those of roguelikes. Permadeath is a key element, but various progression systems mean you don't start from scratch just because you die.
Motion Twin also highlights its "punishing" difficulty and Souls-inspired combat. There's also an emphasis on exploration, with procedural generation used to mix up the exact layout of the otherwise "handcrafted" levels.
We got to check out Dead Cells at PAX East earlier this year and walked away impressed with how it blended its various inspirations together. You can read more about it here and check out a new trailer above.
The first details on this year's MomoCon event have been announced. Event organizers announced today that the show, now in its thirteenth year, will run May 25-28 in Atlanta, Georgia, featuring a keynote address from developers who worked on Final Fantasy XV.
Senior game designer Takatsugu Nakazawa and global brand manager Raio Mitsuno will give the keynote. Additionally, composer Naoshi Mizuta will have a presence at MomoCon during a Final Fantasy orchestral performance slated for the last day of the show.
In terms of panels, Blizzard will attend MomoCon to talk about Overwatch. Visual effects artist Rachel Day and community manager Josh Engen will host a panel, while another panel will include voice actors such as Charlet Chung (D. Va), Matthew Mercer (McCree), Jonny Cruz (Lucio), and Fred Tatasciore (Soldier 76). Overwatch lead writer Michael Chu will moderate that panel.
MomoCon 2017 will also feature two Wizards of the Coast panels, the first of which will "focus on inclusivity in Magic through story, art, and the ways that fiction and games can impact real life." The other panel will touch on "the story of Amonkhet, the Gatewatch and what's next for the Multiverse of Magic: The Gathering."
On top of the panels, HTC will attend MomoCon to provide demos for the Vive virtual reality headset. Developer Blue Mammoth Games will show off its fighting game Brawlhalla, while 14 other unnamed developers have committed to the show. On top of that, 20 finalists from the MomoCon Indie Game Awards will be on show.
MomoCon 2017 takes place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. More than 30,000 people are expected to attend. Single- and multi-day tickets are available here, while some of the panels and events will be broadcast live on Twitch.
Starlord, Gamora, Groot, and the rest of the gang return to screens next month in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. A new clip from the Marvel space adventure has been released, and it features Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) taking a break from interstellar action to show Gamora (Zoe Saldana) some smooth dance moves. Check it out below:
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 also stars Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, and Kurt Russell. Earlier this week director James Gunn revealed that the movie would have no fewer than five post-credit sequences.
Gunn has also confirmed that he will return to write and direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. "My love for [the characters] goes deeper than you guys can possibly imagine," he wrote on Facebook."I feel they have more adventures to go on and things to learn about themselves and the wonderful and sometimes terrifying universe we all inhabit.
"And like in both Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, we will work on creating the story that goes beyond what you expect."
One change to note is that Attack and Defence stats no longer apply when in Revenge mode. From now on, only Revenge Attack and Revenge Defence apply during this time.
Some game modes have also been tweaked, with Boosts no longer appearing at the start of Elimination rounds--you'll now have to wait for 20 seconds at the start of the game before they appear.

For Honor's last patch arrived just a week ago, re-adding the River Fort map into the game after it was previously removed. Ubisoft has said it will bring back the High Fort map "as soon as possible if everything goes well with River Fort."
After the recent discontinuation of the NES Classic Edition, Nintendo is reportedly now working on a mini version of its SNES console. The SNES Classic, as it's likely to be called, will launch "in time for Christmas this year," according to Eurogamer.
The site says the in-development device is a major reason why Nintendo did not continue producing NES Classic units, despite it being sold out nearly everywhere due to high demand. Nintendo refused to comment when contacted by GameSpot.
While the future slate for DC's movies remains up-in-the-air, its TV roster continues to thrive. The studio's latest show is Krypton, which as the title suggests takes a look at life on Superman's home planet before its destruction. A first teaser has been released--watch it at moviepilot.com.
Krypton is executively produced by David Goyer, who has plenty of experience with DC's superheroes. He co-wrote both Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Man of Steel, as well as Christopher Nolan's Batman movies and the Constantine TV show.
The synopsis reads: "Syfy's Krypton, the much-anticipated Superman prequel set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel's home planet, will follow Superman's grandfather--whose House of El was ostracized and shamed--as he fights to redeem his family's honor and save his beloved world from chaos."
The show stars newcomer Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, the grandfather of Superman. It also features Georgina Campbell (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword), Ian McElhinney (Star Wars:Rogue One), and Ann Ogbomo (World War Z).
Goyer first spoke about Krypton in 2015, where he described his plans for the show. "In terms of production value, you have to pick your moments," he told Collider. "Should we make the show, there will definitely be some big moments. It won't be wall to wall visual effects every single moment, and we'll also be digging into the characters and the culture a lot more."
Krypton doesn't currently have a confirmed premiere date, but it is expected later in 2017.
Japanese publisher Bandai Namco has filed a trademark for an unknown project titled Pac-Man Maker. The application was submitted on April 18 and is currently under review by the European Union.
Bandai Namco has not yet announced any project called Pac-Man Maker, and this application does not necessarily mean a game is in active development; companies often file for trademarks simply to protect their intellectual property or to prepare for future enterprises. Bandai Namco also runs a large arcade machine business, so Pac-Man Maker may not pertain to a mainstream console game. The previous Pac-Man related trademark the company filed for was Pac-Man Wild Edition, which appears to be a slot machine game for use in arcades only.
On the same day, the company submitted trademarks for the recently-revealed Code Vein and another unknown item called Storm Wings.
Update [April 19]: The NES Classic Edition has also been discontinued in Europe, a Nintendo spokesperson told Eurogamer. The console, which was called the NES Classic Mini in the territory, is no longer being manufactured in Europe. Combined with the discontinuation in Japan, that now means the miniature console is now out of print worldwide.
"Throughout April, NOA territories will receive the last shipments of Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition systems for this year," Nintendo said in a statement.
"We encourage anyone interested in obtaining this system to check with retail outlets regarding availability. We understand that it has been difficult for many consumers to find a system, and for that we apologize. We have paid close attention to consumer feedback, and we greatly appreciate the incredible level of consumer interest and support for this product."
Nintendo has only said, so far, that the NES Classic Edition is being discontinued in North America. When asked whether the discontinuation would be applied globally, a representative from Nintendo said, "Please see the statements made by Nintendo in other territories."
The NES Classic Edition launched last November, coming preloaded with 30 classic NES games. When asked if these classic games will be made available on the Switch or another system, Nintendo only said "We have nothing to announce at this time."
We've known for a while now that Will Turner will appear in the next Pirates movie, Dead Men Tell No Tales, but what about Elizabeth Turner (nee Swann)? Well, a new international trailer for the fifth entry in the swashbuckling series reveals that Elizabeth will indeed make an appearance.
Dead Men Tell No Tales features another member of the Turner family. Henry (Brenton Thwaites) is the son of Will and Elizabeth, who is on a journey to find Will. At the end of At World's End, Will was sent to become the captain of the Flying Dutchman.
Dead Men Tell No Tales also stars Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow and Javier Bardem as the bad guy Captain Salazar, as well as Geoffrey Rush, David Wenham, Kaya Scodelario, and Kevin McNally. The movie, which is directed by Joachim RΓΈnning and Espen Sandberg, opens in theaters on May 26.
Spider-Man will be in the next two Avengers movies, it's been confirmed. He'll appear in 2018's Avengers: Infinity War and the fourth movie in the series, which is due out in 2019.
"That's as far as it goes for now," Feige said, leaving open the possibility of the deal going further.
Tom Holland made his debut as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, though only in a small role. We'll see a lot more of him in this summer's Homecoming--watch a breakdown of the new trailer above.
Sony itself is making Spider-Man spinoffs themed around Venom and Silver Sable/Black Cat, but Marvel is not a partner for those films. Feige said Marvel has a "very particular plan about Spidey himself when asked why Marvel isn't working with Sony on the spinoffs. He didn't talk about what those plans might be.
Spider-Man: Homecoming premieres on July 7 and also stars Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, and Donald Glover. For lots more on the new trailer, check out GameSpot's in-depth video breakdown here.
Also during the interview, Feige said you should not expect to see Marvel make an R-rated movie anytime soon. It might have worked for Deadpool and Logan, but they were unique in that Deadpool breaks the fourth wall and Logan has a sense of closure for Wolverine.
"My takeaway from both of those films is not the R rating; it's the risk they took, the chances they took, the creative boundaries that they pushed," Feige said of their success. "That should be the takeaway for everyone."
Naughty Dog has released a new update for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End that addresses what sounds like a pretty significant issue with the game's multiplayer Seasons.
As explained on the Uncharted website, Ranked Season 5 started on April 3, and this should have reset players' progress. However, Naughty Dog discovered an issue that kept this from happening. To fix the issue, the studio is resetting the reset for a "clean start for all players."
"Any progress made in Ranked Season 5 will be reset, but don't worry--any Ranked rewards you earned along the way will be retained," Naughty Dog said.
Additionally, the studio said it's making some adjustments to ensure that everyone can earn the Cowboy Hat item (a Season 5 reward) and the Cabbage Patch taunt. Here's how Naughty Dog explains the situation:
"As you advance through ranks in Season 6, you'll earn our new Ranked Sniper Masks like normal, but at the end of the season, you'll also receive each Ranked Season 5 Cowboy Hat corresponding to your final rank," Naughty Dog said. "Those that reach Gold III or higher will receive the Season 5 Ranked Cabbage Patch taunt AND the Season 6 Ranked Walk It taunt. Lastly, at the end of Ranked Season 6, players will be awarded addittional Relics."
Additionally, Naughty Dog clarified that there will be no changes to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer ranked rules for Season 5, though it is considering tweaks for Season 6.
Finally, some balance changes and a fix have been implemented in the new patch.
Steven Ogg, who portrayed Trevor in Grand Theft Auto V, also appears in AMC's hit zombie show The Walking Dead--and his presence on the program is expanding.
According to Variety, Ogg was one of three actors to be promoted to series regular for the upcoming eighth season. Ogg plays Negan's right-hand man, Simon, and is a member of the Savior group. The other two actors to be promoted to series regulars are Katelyn Nacon and Pollyanna McIntosh (via GamesRadar).
The Walking Dead Season 8 will apparently focus on the war between the Saviors, led by Negan, and Rick's alliance. The promotion of all three suggests they have play larger roles in the upcoming season.
Ogg is no stranger to TV; he also had roles in Better Call Saul and Westworld.
The new video game based on the Quentin Tarantino crime movie Reservoir Dogs now has a release date. The top-down shooter Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days will arrive on May 18 through Steam, film company Lionsgate and game developer Big Star Games announced today.
An Xbox One version of Bloody Days will come out "later this year." No announcements have been made about a version of the game for PlayStation 4 or other platforms.
In addition to confirming the release date, Lionsgate and Big Star Games released a cinematic trailer that focuses on the heist game's Time Rewind system. As announced previously, this lets players turn back time and control each member of the group to correct earlier mistakes or try a new tactic.
Bloody Days lets you play as characters from the movie, including Mr. Blonde, Mr. Blue, Mr. Brown, Mr. Orange, Mr. Pink, and Mr. White. The single-player game has 18 levels, set in places like banks, nightclubs, and docks.
Reservoir Dogs the movie was released in 1992, making it 25 years old this year. It was Tarantino's first full-length movie, and starred Michael Madsen, Harvey Keitel, Steve Buscemi, Lawrence Tierney, Tim Roth, and Chris Penn.
Adam Sandler's Netflix movies might not get the best reviews, but they are unquestionably popular. As part of its latest earnings report this week, Netflix said its users have spent "more than half a billion hours enjoying the films of Adam Sandler" since the release of 2015's The Ridiculous 6.
That movie was followed up by The Do-Over in 2016, while the third Sandler Netflix movie, Sandy Wexler, came out last week. It's not immediately clear if the "half a billion hours" figure includes movies on Netflix that aren't exclusive to the platform such as Mr. Deeds and Punch-Drunk Love.
Sandler's first deal with Netflix was for four movies, which means there is still one more to come after Sandy Wexler. In March, Netflix announced a new four-movie deal with Sandler, bringing the total number of films up to eight. All of the movies are exclusive to Netflix.
"Adam Sandler is one of the leading comedians in the film world, and his movies have proven to be extremely successful with our subscribers around the world," Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said in a statement when the new four-movie deal was announced. "We are thrilled at the opportunity to extend our partnership with Adam and his entire team at Happy Madison and keep the world laughing."
Capcom has announced the next DLC for fighting game Street Fighter V. Coming to the game next week is the well-known Thailand stage from past games, remastered for the PS4 and PC game.
"The stage's intricate bell and statues have been carefully recreated in SFV with great detail, as well as the stage's memorable theme," Capcom said in a blog post.
The publisher went on to say that it experimented with a night-time version of the Thailand stage, with the lighting coming from candles. However, Capcom decided against this, instead opting to "stay true to the original stage as much as possible."
The new Thailand stage launches on April 25 for $4/¥400 /€4. Alternatively, you can buy it for 70,000 Fight Money, which is Street Fighter V's in-game currency system.
Also coming to Street Fighter V on April 25 are new school costumes for Ryu, Chun-Li, and Juri. As you can see in the images above, Juri now has a "gothic" look, while Chun-Li's costume aims to make her look like an honor roll student. Finally, Ryu's outfit is meant to look like a Bancho, which is a "student gang leader."
These costumes costs $4/¥400 /€4, though Capcom did not say if they will be available for Fight Money.
Ahead of its release in June, Bethesda today released a new trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online's Morrowind expansion, this one focusing on the new cool-looking Warden class.
"With the versatility to act as a damage dealer, a healer, or protector (or any combination in between) the Warden's powerful and unique nature-based magic brings an entirely new element to ESO," Bethesda said in a press release.
Players can "fully" customize the Warden, Bethesda said. As you can see in the video embedded above, the Warden can summon a War Bear or plants that spring up from the ground as healing elements.
The Warden is just one part of what's new with the Morrowind expansion. It also adds the Vvardenfell location, with a storyline involving the warrior-poet Vivec. A new PvP mode is also included with the add-on.
According to Eurogamer and Kotaku, the player Xalikah completed a 100 percent speedrun of the celebrated role-playing game in 49 hours, nine minutes, and 41 seconds. By comparison, regular speedruns--that is, completing the story alone as fast as possible--have been completed in around 40 minutes.
A 100 percent completion of Breath of the Wild is seriously challenging, as you need to complete the map percentage counter, which involves collecting all 900 Korok seeds, climbing every tower, and discovering every region. You must also fully upgrade various armor sets and acquire all key items. You can see a full rundown of what's required for a 100 percent playthrough here.
Xalikah told Kotaku, "The hard part is thinking about all the items and stuff you need. Especially when the lack of sleeps kicks in. I had a good start on the first 24 hours. When I hit 30 hours, it was hard for me. I felt like the run wasn't going to end, so I decided to take a nap break."
You can watch the start of Xalikah's Breath of the Wild speedrun in the Twitch video above. This video of course contains spoilers, so be aware of that if you haven't played yet.
The story has two main scribes: Walt Williams, who wrote the story for the well-received military shooter Spec Ops: The Line, and former IGN video game editor Mitch Dyer.
Game director Mark Thompson told Glixel that both Williams and Dyer are "voracious fans" of Star Wars; each posses an "encyclopedia knowledge of everything that existed" in Star Wars, he said.
Unlike many Star Wars stories, Battlefront II's is told from the perspective of an Empire soldier. The game picks up after the events of Return of the Jedi, putting you into the boots of Iden Versio.
"Between the original trilogy and the new trilogy, there were stories starting to be published [as fiction], but no 'visual' storytelling," Thompson said about choosing this particular era for Battlefront II. "There wasn't anything visual or interactive that had been done in that space. That seemed like a good place for us to do something different and break new ground."
Update: The issues have been resolved, with service restored to all areas of Xbox Live, according to Microsoft.
Original Story: Some areas of Xbox Live are running into some problems today.
While Xbox Live itself appears to be operating normally, the Party and Game Invites features for Xbox One are experiencing issues, according to a post on the Xbox Live status site. It's not immediately clear how widespread the issues are, but Rocket League is one of the affected games.
We'll report back as new information becomes available regarding these issues. If you're experiencing the problems, let us know in the comments below.
We're seeing reports of issues with party and game invites for some customers. Thank you for your patience while our teams investigate!
Rocket League has reached a new milestone for registered users. The popular soccer-with-cars game now has an astonishing 30 million registered players, up from almost 29 million in March.
The game has not sold that many copies, however, as the figure includes copies of the game given away to PlayStation Plus subscribers at launch in July 2015. Individual PlayStation Network and Xbox Live accounts are counted, too, even though not everyone might have bought copy. In terms of actual sales, the latest number that developer Psyonix disclosed was 10.5 million.

"Why would we want to take this huge community that we've already built, that's still growing, and say, 'What you're playing now is going to be irrelevant in 12 months, but we want you to stop what you're doing, giving us money all over again, and move over to this other game,'" Psyonix's Jeremy Dunham explained. "That's not the right way to do things. I think that era of games has passed."
In March, Psyonix added Fast and the Furious-themed DLC to Rocket League in the form of the Ice Charger vehicle, which is based on the Dodge Charger that Vin Diesel's character drives in The Fate of The Furious.

Powerglove, a band that plays instrumental covers of video game songs, has released new tracks from its upcoming album. The album, Continue?, has something of a unique release model. One track debuts each month for the next 13 months, with a physical box set of the album launching at that time.
The first two songs, "Kraid's Lair" from the Metroid series, and "Kirby" from that franchise of the same name, are out now. You can stream them through YouTube and Spotify or buy the tunes from digital stores for about $1. The songs sound like classic Powerglove--heavy, melodic, and driving. You can listen to "Kraid's Lair" and "Kirby" through the YouTube embeds below.
Continue? is Powerglove's sixth full-length album, following Total Pwnage (2005), Metal Kombat for the Mortal Man (2007), Saturday Morning Apocalypse (2010), TV Game Metal (2012), and Video Game Metal (2014).
Powerglove gets its name from the NES accessory of the same name. The band has performed at video game shows such as PAX, as well as major tours such as the Summer Slaughter Tour, performing alongside big-name metal groups such as The Black Dahlia Murder and Whitechapel.
