The Most Evil Beings in a Galaxy Far, Far Away

There might not be more evil beings in a galaxy than in the Star Wars universe. And with Solo: A Star Wars Story hitting theaters on May 25, we're bound to get another deep, dark entry of villainy into the saga.

Join us as we rank the best of the worst and share their most villainous moments.

21. Captain Phasma

Commander of the First Order's stormtroopers, Captain Phasma might look cool, but she's been more of a punching bag than villain in her two Stars Wars appearances.

20. Greedo

He might only grace the screen for a short time, but Greedo plays a big part in A New Hope. While attempting to collect the bounty Jabba The Hutt put on Han Solo's head, Greedo got blasted in one of the most-discussed moments in any Star Wars film.

19. Director Orson Krennic

The Director of Advanced Weapons Research for the Imperial Military, Orson Krennic oversaw the construction of the Death Star in Rogue One. He later lost control to the malevolent Grand Moff Tarkin.

Krennic might be evil, sure, but all he's trying to do is impress his boss. And we can't really blame him for that.

18. Count Dooku

A former Jedi Master, Count Dooku was seduced to the dark side after Qui-Gon Jinn's death in The Phantom Menace. Other than his battle with Yoda in Attack of the Clones, Dooku doesn't have many evil deeds on his resume.

17. General Grievous

Grievous should be one of the most vicious villains in the saga. He's got freakin' robot arms equipped with lightsabers from fallen Jedi.

So why doesn't he rank higher? It's because the cyborg Sith could have done so much more evil with his nearly unlimited power.

Although Grievous had the potential to rank higher, he was still pretty darn vile. The Sith's most evil moment came in the Star Wars: Clone Wars show where he ambushes multiple Jedi, including Daakman Barrek.

16. Cad Bane

After the death of Jango Fett, Cad Bane become the deadliest mercenary in the universe. The cunning bounty hunter doesn't have any Force powers, but he specialized in exterminating Jedi.

15. Asajj Ventress

After spending much of her life as a slave-turned-Jedi Padawan, Ventress eventually embraced the dark side after pirates killed her Jedi Master, Ky Narec.

14. The Grand Inquisitor

A former Jedi Temple guard, the Grand Inquisitor was seduced to the dark side and served Darth Vader in Star Wars Rebels. Equipped with his signature double-bladed spinning red lightsaber, the Inquisitor hunted surviving Jedi and Force-sensitive children.

12. Jabba the Hutt

The most powerful crime lord on Tatooine, Jabba the Hutt had some of the most evil creatures in the galaxy under his thumb. The gangster was in charge of the criminal underworld on Tattooine that included trafficking illegal goods and slavery.

Crime lord Jabba has lots of villainous moments, from sending his personal dancer to her death in the rancor pit to putting Princess Leia in chains. His worst moment, however, is when he refuses to accept payment to spare Solo's life, instead ordering he and Luke be fed to his pet sarlacc.

11. Darth Malak

The genocidal Dark Lord of the Sith was the main antagonist in the Knights of the Old Republic game. Malak was on a mission to become the most powerful being in the universe by acquiring the Star Forge, which had the capability to destroy the Jedi Order and the Republic.

10. Jango Fett

Believed to be the best bounty hunter in the galaxy, Jango Fett — who donned some cool Mandalorian armor — was feared for his nearly unmatched killing prowess even though he wasn't Force sensitive.

9. Boba Fett

The clone of Jango Fett, Boba Fett followed in his "father's" footsteps by becoming a deadly bounty hunter after swearing vengeance against the Jedi.

8. General Armitage Hux

General Hux is the former commander of the Starkiller Base, and he's in charge of the First Order military. Hux, like Tarkin before him, is a cutthroat commander who will kill millions of people if his mission demands it.

Despite appearing old and frail, Palpatine's understanding of the Force and his ability to manipulate even the most powerful beings in the galaxy made him one of the saga's greatest bad guys.

Overwatch Skins From Anniversary Event 2018 Are Pretty Great

Tracer, Brigitte, and more get new looks for Overwatch's second Anniversary

Blizzard's popular hero shooter Overwatch is celebrating its second birthday, and the developer is commemorating the milestone with the return of the Overwatch Anniversary event. The event is underway now on all platforms--PS4, Xbox One, and PC--and introduces a variety of new content to the game, but as always, the most exciting additions are all the new skins.

Blizzard has added 11 new Legendary skins to Overwatch, a number of which were revealed in the days leading up to the game's second anniversary event. We got early peeks at new looks for Tracer and Soldier 76, but Doomfist, McCree, and Overwatch's latest hero, Brigitte, are all also the recipients of new outfits. You can take a look at all of the new skins above.

The skins can be obtained in Anniversary Loot Boxes, which contain over 190 Anniversary event items, more than 60 of which are brand-new. Everyone who logs in during the Anniversary Event will receive one Anniversary Loot Box for free, which is guaranteed to contain at least one Legendary item. Additional Anniversary Loot Boxes can be earned by playing the game or purchased with real-world money.

In addition to the new skins, Blizzard has introduced a new free-for-all Deathmatch map called Petra. The developer has also made past seasonal brawls available to play again in Arcade for the duration of the Overwatch Anniversary Event.

The event runs from now until June 11. If you've yet to purchase the game but are interested in joining the festivities, Blizzard is holding a free Overwatch weekend on all platforms very soon. From May 25-28, players will be able to play the full roster of heroes in a variety of modes at no charge, and any loot boxes that are acquired during the free period can be carried over to the full game.
