[Update] And just like that, a better deal has swooped in. People in the US can grab a DualShock 4 PS4 controller for just $25 from Daily Steals (Facebook account required). They're available in a number of colors, though at this low of a price, don't be surprised if they begin selling out soon.
Also, Amazon UK is now selling DualShock 4 controllers in red, black, and blue for £29.95. The white verion, meanwhile, is also available for £29.99. The controller usually retails for between £35 - £40, so this is a pretty good discount. These are the newer DualShock 4 variants with the redesigned touchpad.
If you own a PlayStation 4, sooner or later you'll probably need at least one other controller. Whether you want to add a couch co-op partner or the battery dies in the one you're using, it's always good to have a spare around. The biggest problem is that DualShock 4 controllers are expensive. But thanks to Black Friday, everyone's favorite time to buy gifts for themselves--er--others people, you can get PS4 controllers at a sizable discount. The only question is where you can find a deal.
Luckily for anyone on the hunt for an extra controller (or three, because Overcooked 2 is amazing), most of the big video game retailers are offering DualShock 4 PS4 controllers for $40 (down from $60). They even come in an array of colors, which makes it easy to tell which controller is yours. If you're in the UK, Amazon has the controller for £35. Here's where you can get one for cheap.
Most of those sale prices are available now, but some will go into effect on Thursday or Black Friday. You can see when all the Black Friday deals start here. Note that some retailers have been pushing their deals live early to get a leg up on the competition.
For other fantastic deals, check out our PS4 Black Friday roundup, which lists all the sale prices we've seen on PlayStation 4 consoles, games, accessories, and services. You're all but guaranteed to find some great deals on items you've had your eye on. They primarily involve the Mario Kart 8 bundle Nintendo officially announced.

Also, be sure to check out all the sales on Nintendo Switch games.

We've got less than two weeks to go until Black Friday, and we're tracking sales as they come out and continually updating our lists. Be aware that retailers may sell out of products at any point during sales. Certain deals may also be offered in-store only; be sure to check the conditions for sales you're looking at. Lastly, stores opening times may vary by location, so check with your local retailer.
Amazon has thrown its hat in the ring with a deal that beats the rest by a few precious bucks. You can now buy Fallout 76 for $35 on PS4, Xbox One, or PC. You'd better hurry if you want to grab this deal, however, because it's probably not going to last too long. Amazon is also offering the Tricentennial Edition of Fallout 76 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC for $50, which is $10 cheaper than normal.
Rejoice! Black Friday 2018 is finally here, which means there's savings to be made. To help you get the best prices on games and hardware, we've rounded up some major deals for people to take advantage of. Coming off the heels of the recent launch of Fallout 76, the series' first attempt at an online game, several retailers have already put the PC, PS4, and Xbox One releases up for discount just in time for Black Friday.
As of right now, Best Buy, GameStop, and Walmart has the game up for sale during Black Friday. While most deals aren't currently active, you'll be able to plan ahead by keeping track of which retailers have the kind of deals you want. GameStop has the standard game for $40, with the Tricentennial release dropping to $60 (from $80). The Xbox Store has matched that discount on the base game; it's on sale right now.
Best Buy has all three versions of Fallout 76 up for Black Friday with some special bundles. Though both the PS4 and Xbox One releases are still normal retail price at $60, they'll come packed with a special Vault Boy keychain. Meanwhile, the PC release is bundled with a Blackout Yeti mic for $100. Walmart is also have the game up for sale, discounting their retailer-exclusive steelbook edition for $60. Green Man Gaming, meanwhile, has Fallout 76 on PC for $36 when you sign in and redeem a voucher. For those in the UK, the game is available for £35.
Fallout 76 is a bit different compared to Bethesda's previous efforts with Fallout 3 and 4. As an online survival game, you'll focus more on surviving the elements while also staying a few steps ahead of other enemies and rival players while exploring the expansive map of Appalachia. Instead of a traditional Fallout narrative, with your choices and decisions leaving drastic consequences on the state of the world and all the characters in it, 76 places more of an emphasis on the moment-to-moment plot with your character simply trying to survive in the irradiated wilderness of West Virginia.
Though our final review isn't up yet, editor Edmond Tran offered up some early impressions with the game so far: "Fallout 76 attempts to pull off some significantly new ideas for the series, but with few exceptions, they notably diminish many aspects of the game. Multiplayer is fun, but it's not an ideal way to enjoy questing, and the shooting mechanics aren't strong enough to make combat-heavy activities enjoyable for long periods. Things feel better as a solo experience, but the lack of in-universe characters makes becoming emotionally invested in the world and your goals difficult."
Black Friday 2018 has kicked into high-gear, with an overwhelming number of deals active, so be sure to keep tabs on the ones that interest you the most. In addition to Fallout 76, Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition, God of War, and Black Ops 4 are also on discount for this week. For more info on Black Friday 2018, be sure to check out our other highlights and roundup of other deals on GameSpot.
Sony's PS4 may have launched all the way back in 2013, but it's still incredibly popular and there are plenty of great games available for it. If you're in the market for a PS4 this holiday, you're in luck, as a number of retailers are offering nice discounts for Black Friday. If you're in the market for one, we're going to help you get a PS4 at a good price.
Sony's official Black Friday promotions on PS4 essentially lays out what the early ads and deals from stores are offering. When it comes to PS4 itself, the big deal is a $200 bundle including a 1 TB console and a copy of Marvel's Spider-Man. You'll find an identical sale at Best Buy, Walmart, and a number of other retailers, and they're all live right now--even Target, which labeled this as a doorbuster in its ad.
You could argue that $200 would be a nice price for the system alone, but to get a $60 game that was just released in September makes it even sweeter. Unfortunately, those looking for a PS4 Pro have far fewer options; there is a $405 Spider-Man bundle on Ebay as of this writing, but little beyond that.
If you're waiting for other deals, many stores will actually open on Thanksgiving Day, and as noted above, Best Buy early access has already begun. We're sure to see more deals pop up for PS4, and we'll continue to update this post as they emerge.
On the games side, we've already seen confirmed discounts for some of PS4's biggest games of the year, including God of War, NBA 2K19, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. We'll be hunting for deals all month long, so be sure to check back with us as more Black Friday ads are revealed, and check out our roundup of PS4 deals.
[Update] New Black Fridaydeals are coming around the clock, and the latest one of these is from eBay, where the store Nationwide Distributors is offering Red Dead Redemption 2 for only $45. You can head to the deal using the link in the price roundup list below. [Original Story] There are a lot of games on sale this Black Friday, and this includes the recently released Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar's latest--and arguably greatest--open-world title is being discounted at a few select retailers, as well as on online stores, already. Although it's primarily the more expensive editions of the game seeing a price cut, there are some options available for those looking to experience the wild west epic.
All the current RDR2 Black Friday deals are outlined below. We will continue to add to the list as new discounts are announced. Be sure to stay on top of when specific retailers--like Best Buy and Walmart--open and close their doors for Black Friday so you can plan accordingly.
For now, the best Black Friday Red Dead Redemption 2 deals are available through the Xbox Store and PlayStation Store. The normally $80 Special Edition is being lowered to around $70 for Black Friday. The Special Edition comes with the base game, as well as a bank robbery mission and gang hideout, Dappled Black Thoroughbred horse, talisman and medallion in-game bonuses, boosts, cash discounts, the Nuevo Paraiso Gunslinger outfit, and several free weapons. The even more expensive Ultimate edition drops to $90 on both platforms. As of this writing, you'll need an Xbox Live Gold membership to take advantage of the Xbox pricing.
Rakuten is offering the Xbox One version of the game for $40 on its website. You'll need to have an account and ensure you're logged in first, and then apply the discount code BF20 to see the price drop.
Physical retailers are selling the game at full price but with a bonus item. At Best Buy, the Black Friday deal comes with RDR2 and a special collapsible cup. At Walmart, the Black Friday deal is for the store's exclusive steelbook edition. Ebay has also announced it will have a bundle with the Xbox One version of the game and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for $70.
In our Red Dead Redemption 2 review, Kallie Plagge gave the game a 9/10, writing, "Red Dead Redemption 2 is an excellent prequel, but it's also an emotional, thought-provoking story in its own right, and it's a world that is hard to leave when it's done."
Red Dead Redemption 2 is only available for Xbox One and PS4.
[Update]UK retailer John Lewis has thrown its hat into the Black Friday 2018 ring with a pretty nice Xbox One X deal, for those looking to upgrade to the most powerful console on the market. It is currently available for £360 and includes Forza Horizon 4, Forza Motorsport 7, making it ideal for the racing game fan in your life. [Original story] Black Friday 2018 has finally started, which means the many deals that will save you some money during the shopping event are available. When it comes to Xbox One, many deals have already gone live, and the bottom line is you can get a great price on an Xbox One (X or S), games, Xbox Live Gold, and more. Based on early ads from Walmart, GameStop, Best Buy, Target, and other retailers, we've assembled a complete list of Xbox One deals below, and we have a roundup of the best Xbox One Black Friday deals.
If you've been keeping an eye out for deals, you'll know the early ads store including Target, Best Buy, GameStop, and Walmart laid out what we'll be able to save some cash on. Additionally, the Xbox Store deals are live now, and this has expanded to included even non-Xbox Live Gold members (though the discounts may not be as great). Ebay has also been rolling some some terrific offers.
If it's a console you're after, both Xbox One X and Xbox One S will be discounted significantly. Kohl's will offer an Xbox One X 1TB bundled with PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and $120 Kohl's Cash for $400, while Best Buy has a special-edition version of the system bundled with Battlefield 5 and a second controller for $430.
In terms of Xbox One S, Kohl's has an Xbox One S 1TB Minecraft Creators Bundle and $60 Kohl's Cash for $200. (Enter promo code CHEERFUL at checkout--or print out the coupon in the Black Friday ad--and you'll save an extra 15% on Kohl's deals.) Other stores will have the system for around $200. Additionally, extra Xbox One controllers will be available for $40 at Kohl's, Target, and the Microsoft Store, among other places. The Microsoft Store will also offer a month of Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold for $1 each.
In terms of Xbox One games, stores will have some excellent discounts on a number of big-name titles. Fallout 76 will be $40 at GameStop and is already that price on the Xbox Store (the deal requires Xbox Live Gold, which you'll need to play the game itself), Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be $40 at Walmart, while the toys-to-life game Starlink: Battle for Atlas Starter Pack is $35 at Best Buy (down from $75). Other terrific deals include Assassin's Creed Odyssey for $30 at Best Buy and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds for $15 at Target and Best Buy.
There's too much to round up in the text here, so hit the full lists below for all things Xbox that are on sale--you'll even find cheap backwards compatible games on sale. We'll continue to update this as more deals are revealed, so stay tuned, and follow all of our coverage in our full list of Black Friday deals.
Season 4 is ending in Destiny 2, and that means that this is your last week to visit Xur before the Season of the Forge begins. As always with his weekend visits, Xur brings a batch of Year One Exotic weapons and armor that can help you fill out your collections--but it's possible his goods could change after November 27, so you best take advantage while you can.
You'll find Xur this week in the EDZ of Earth, in the area called Winding Cove. To get to him, spawn into the area, hop on your sparrow, and drive north. You'll soon find some Fallen enemies and a cliff ascending upward. Xur is at the top, hanging out beneath a crashed Fallen ship.
Xur's bag of Exotics, as usual, totes one weapon and one piece of armor for each of the three classes, specifically from Destiny 2's Year One collection. Your weapon selection this week is Suros Regime, an auto rifle that's all about sustained fire. Its Suros Legacy perk encourages you to hit enemies with an entire magazine rather than reload--you'll get bonus damage for hitting with bullets from the bottom half of the mag, and killing enemies with those bullets has a chance of returning health to you.
On the armor side, Warlocks get the Karnstein Armlets, gauntlets built for melee that give you health bursts on kills, plus a short period of health restoration. For Hunters, there's the Wormhusk Crown helmet, which gives you a little health and shield bump every time you pull off a dodge. Finally, there's Armamentarium for Titans, a chest piece that comes with a second grenade charge.
Suros Regime (Exotic auto rifle) -- 29 Legendary Shards
Alongside the items above, which you can purchase directly, you can also shell out Legendary shards for Xur's Fated Engram. This engram is guaranteed to decrypt into a Year One Exotic you don't already own, making it a good way to fill out your collection if you find Xur's offerings lacking--provided you can afford it. Make sure you buy it on the character whose class you want the Exotic to match.
As you finish up Season 4 and get ready for the Black Armory expansion, don't forget to track down another Exotic that's just been added to the game: Thunderlord. The three-week quest that came with the Festival of the Lost is at an end, and you can do all of it pretty quickly--check out our guide for more details.
[Update] Black Friday has finally arrived! But don't worry, you don't need to go into town and elbow your neighbours to get to the best deals first--you can simply shop for them online. Game's Black Friday sale has kicked off properly now, so we've added some of its best offers below.
[Original story]Black Friday is nearly here. November 23 is just a day away and that means numerous retailers have already kicked off their major season of discounts and deals. Game's Black Friday UK sale started in earnest on November 15, and the high-street chain has a number of deals live on its website.
On the green side of the gaming fence, you can get a 1 TB Xbox One S with Forza Horizon 4, two months of Now TV, and either The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind or Prey for £250. If you're not a Forza fan, you can get the same bundle but with Playground's racer subbed out for a Fortnite full game download, 2,000 V-bucks, and the Eon cosmetic set for the same price.
The cheapest Nintendo Switch bundle contains the device itself with Sports Party for £290; pay £10 more and the sports title gets swapped for Lego DC Super Villains. The Switch is a newer console, so it's perhaps unsurprising deals are a little hard to come by compared to PS4 and Xbox One. The cheapest way to get a new Switch from Game is still to simply buy the console itself--this comes in at £280.
Check out a wider selection of Game's Black Friday UK deals below, or visit the retailer's website for the full list.
Black Friday 2018 is finally here. You've already filled yourself up with delicious food, and now it's time to get yourself some discounted goods. We've had a good idea of what kind of deals to expect once Black Friday sales officially start going live--which very handy for planning your purchases. Because of this we've already been able to cover the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals at Target, Best Buy, and Walmart. However, GameStop has offered a sale too, so let's take a look at the deals.
Some of these discounts will be available in limited quantities until November 26, but the rest of the discounts went like on Thursday, November 22 at 3 PM (Thanksgiving), which is when the official Black Friday sale begins. This means that, if you're just starting to shop, you'll have to be quick as others have been at it for a few days now.
In terms of console deals, you can get an Xbox One S 1TB Minecraft Creators bundle for $200, or knock $70 off any Xbox One or S. On the PS4 side of things, a PlayStation 4 1TB with Spider-Man is on sale for $200. All other PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch deals come with a $50 GameStop gift card (in-store only).
For a whole lot more upcoming deals, check out our Black Friday deals hub, where you can find out what discounts all the big game retailers will offer next week.
Is it just me, or are the Black Friday video game deals better this year? Maybe it's just because the consoles are now a year older, so it makes sense that prices would be lower. In any case, Google Express (US only) is currently running a promotion that gets you some of the lowest prices we've ever seen on PS4 Pro, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One X and S consoles.
All you have to do is visit the Google Express Black Friday page and scroll down until you find the console you want. Click to add it to your cart and enter promo code BF18 at checkout. That gets you 20% off prices that, in many cases, are already deeply discounted.
And while we haven't seen many PS4 Pro discounts this Black Friday, you can use the promo code to knock 20% off the standard retailer price ($400) of a PlayStation 4 Pro 1TB, bringing it down to $320. The same goes for a Nintendo Switch; while most competing deals today will get you a Switch with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for $300, this deal gets you a Switch (with no pack-in game) for $240.
Just make sure you remember to use promo code BF18 at checkout, or you'll end up paying more than you have to. And who wants to do that?
The Black Friday 2018 shopping bonanza has begun, which means various retailers have a plethora of discounts and deals on offer. Not one to be left out of festivities, Nintendo has now revealed which digital Switch and 3DS games you can get on the cheap as part of its Eshop sale. We've also got a roundup of the best Switch Eshop game deals.
The sale is already live and will last until November 28 at 8:59 AM PT / 11:59 AM ET / 4:59 PM GMT / 2:59 AM on November 29 for AEDT. During this time you can pick up Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for $42, Starlink: Battle for Atlas for $45, and Dead Cells for $20. Along with those, there's Celeste for $16, Undertale for $13, Okami HD for $15, Doom for $30, Skyrim for $30, The Messenger for $14, and other must-play Switch games available at a discount. Of course, there's plenty more Switch titles on sale, and you can see the full list below.
For those interested in grabbing a game or two for the Nintendo 3DS, there's quite a few titles worth considering. Many of them are really cheap, so if you're picking up a 3DS for the first time--either for yourself or for someone else--this is a cost effective way to load up on games. There's The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D--arguably the best version of the game--for $14, excellent puzzle game Box Boy for $5, and fast-paced action game Hyrule Warriors for $20. Take a look below for the full list of games.
For more options, check out our roundup of the best Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals. And if you're wondering what games you should pick up for the system, we've got an article that compiles all the best Switch games available--grab one of them and you're good to go.
Shake yourself out of that turkey coma because Black Friday is here. The annual shopping event is in full swing, so there's plenty of Black Friday deals to take advantage of. That includes at least a select number at Walmart, and while we got a handy heads-up at what's being discounted thanks to its Black Friday ad, some new items are likely to be added while others will be even cheaper today. Case in point: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was listed for $40, but as of this writing, it's down to $37 on PS4 and Xbox One. Below, we've rounded up the games, consoles, and accessories for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch that the retailer plans to have on sale. We've also put together a look at Walmart's best Black Friday deals.
The mega retailer has a deal on nearly every console on the market (with PS4 Pro being the notable absence, as it's on sale seemingly nowhere). You can get a PS4 Slim 1TB with Spider-Man for $199--a deal that's already live right now. The Xbox One S Minecraft Creators Bundle are marked down to $199, and you can save $100 on an Xbox One X, bringing the price down to $399. Nintendo Switch still costs $299, but you'll get a free copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with the purchase. Finally, Nintendo 2DS with Super Mario Maker is $79. These deals fall in line with the official Black Friday promotions announced by Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, though Walmart (like Sam's Club) hacks off an extra dollar.
When it comes to games, it might be quicker to list the ones that won't be on sale. There's tons of great deals, making Black Friday a good time to grab anything you've had an eye on recently. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is marked down to $40, which is $5 cheaper than it is at Target and Best Buy. Assassin's Creed Odyssey is dipping to $35, as is Destiny 2: Forsaken Legendary Collection. And while they're not getting discounts, Walmart is offering exclusive steelbook versions of Fallout 76 and Red Dead Redemption 2 for $60 each.
As with many other retailers, Walmart didn't wait until Friday to begin offering its discounts. The deals began at 6 PM local time on Thursday, November 22 (Thanksgiving in the US). Online shoppers got access to the discounts even earlier; Black Friday deals at Walmart.com started on Wednesday, November 21 at 10 PM ET (7 PM PT). That means you should get a move on, if you're interested in any of this because stock may already be running low.
You can find the full list of discounted items for each platform below. And if you want to see all the other items Walmart will have on sale, check out the full Walmart Black Friday ad.
Thanksgiving is in the past and now it's time to shift focus to Black Friday 2018. Various deals and discounts are now available for you to take advantage of, so finish up those leftovers and get ready to score some bargains. If you've done your due diligence and checked out early ads to scope out what you want, you'll be one step ahead of the rest in scoring those deals, but if you haven't done the extra leg work, we're here to help. Best Buy's full ad included a ton of games, all of which we've outlined below.
There are a bunch of PS4, Xbox One, and Switch games on sale, along with hardware and accessories. Best Buy's console deals are limited in number, but they present a good way to pick up any of the big systems. Many of them are similar to what you'll find at other stores, but it does have what might be the best deal on an Xbox One X. For $430, you get a special-edition Xbox One X that's bundled with November's Battlefield V, plus a second controller.
Those looking for a PS4 can get one bundled with Marvel's Spider-Man, which just released in September, for $200. $200 can also get you an Xbox One S Minecraft bundle. If you're in the market for a Nintendo Switch, you'll get the same offer at places like Target, which is a $300 bundle (the standard price of the system) that includes Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
The bulk of the gaming offers are on specific games. Among the highlights is the recently released Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for $45, God of War for $25, and PUBG (Xbox One) for $15. For $30, you can get Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Madden NFL 19, NBA 2K19, or Forza Horizon 4. Switch, which often doesn't get a lot of discounts, has a number of games on sale, including Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze for $40, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle for $20, and Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for $35. 3DS owners can pick up Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon for $20 each.
Outside of individual games, Best Buy has deals on a variety of accessories, including a 30% discount on all Astro headsets. But some of the best offers it has are for subscriptions: You can get 12 months of PlayStation Plus for $40 or 12 months of Xbox Game Pass for $70. Considering the latter gets you access to certain games you might be buying on sale (like Forza Horizon 4 and Sea of Thieves), it could be a preferable option.
Read on for the full list of game deals, and check out our roundup of all Black Friday deals for much more.
[Update 2] As Black Friday has now arrived, we've added a bunch more of Amazon UK's gaming deals below. Some of the best offers to arrive today apply to console bundles, including the cheapest price we've seen on an Xbox One X, as well as some pretty sweet PS4 Pro deals. See the full list below.
[Update] Some of the deals listed below have now expired, though we've now added more as we approach Black Friday itself. Specifically, there are great offers to be found on Xbox One exclusives, as well as on Nintendo Switch consoles and a bunch of older titles. Take a look at the full list below.
[Original Story] Black Friday 2018 is almost upon us! Officially, it is set to begin tomorrow, November 23, but that hasn't stopped many retailers setting a bunch of discounts live already. One such retailer is Amazon UK, whose early Black Friday deals include discounts on Nintendo Switch consoles, Xbox One exclusives, PS4 accessories, and, rather randomly, the Far Cry series.
If you're a Far Cry fan, Amazon is the place to be right now--so long as you're a PC player. The original game is down to £3.44, with Far Cry 3 at £5.78, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon down to £5, Far Cry 4 at £10.40, and the Far Cry 5 season pass at £19.50. Update: Amazon has now added a deal for South Park: The Fractured but Whole's season pass on PC for £13.
Other early deals mostly center around accessories and peripherals, including a Nintendo Switch starter kit for £16 (Prime members only), a PS4 Pro vertical stand for £12, or a PlayStation Move charging station for £10. Read on below for a wider selection of the retailer's deals, or take a look at the full list of live discounts here before the promotion proper begins November 16. You can also check out Game's list of early Black Friday deals.
Black Friday 2018 is officially a-go-go baby! There's discounts and deals wherever you look and one of the stores getting in on the action is Target. Below, you can see the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch gaming deals that the retailer has available for prospective shoppers. For more of its offering we also have a look at Target's best gaming deals.
A few video game items are listed as doorbusters in Target's ad. For starters, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on both PS4 and Xbox One will be on sale for $45--not a bad discount for a game that just launched last month (though it'll be cheaper elsewhere). Another recent game is getting an even bigger price drop; the starter pack for the toys-to-life space shooter Starlink: Battle for Atlas will be on sale for $40, down from $75.
In terms of hardware doorbusters, you'll be able to get a PlayStation 4 Slim 1TB console with Spider-Man for $200 (for a savings of $100)--although despite the ad's designation of this as a doorbuster, you can actually take advantage of the deal right now. Also $100 off is a PlayStation VR bundle that comes with the headset, camera, and two Move controllers, as well as copies of Superhot VR and Creed: Rise to Glory, all for $250.
Even many of the non-doorbuster discounts are much better than you'd see during normal sales. Assassin's Creed Odyssey can be had for $35, while Shadow of the Tomb Raider is down to $30. Overwatch and Star Wars Battlefront 2 are down to just $15 each. A Nintendo Switch can be had for its usual price of $300 but with a free copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
You can get these sale prices online or in store, but as always, stock will be limited. If you want to brave the crowds and get your hands on the items in person, Target stores will be open and offering these deals from 5 PM Thursday, November 22 to 1 AM Friday, November 23. Then--presumably after spending a few hours cleaning up and re-stocking--they'll re-open Friday, November 23 at 7 AM. It's possible certain stores will use different hours, so you might want to double-check closer to Black Friday. We've broken down all of the various Black Friday store hours to help you know when the deals begin.
Now it's time for the big list, which you can also see in the full Target Black Friday ad. All of the following games will be available at the prices listed below on Black Friday, but Target says even more games will also be on sale. We'll update this article when we find out what those are. In the mean time, check out the full list and start planning your Black Friday 2018 purchases now.
Black Friday is here, which means the discount deals that you've been waiting for are live now. When it comes to Nintendo Switch, you'll find a better slate of deals than last year, although there isn't a huge amount of variety (or steep discounts) on the console itself. Beyond that, though, there are a bunch of games on sale, and that list has now expanded further with Nintendo confirming the lineup for its Eshop Cyber Deals sale.
Many stores have already released their ads, and in some cases, their offers will be available hours or even days in advance. In terms of the Nintendo Switch console, we're seeing an identical deal popping up in a lot of places since we first saw it in Target's preview ad. Target, Walmart, and Best Buy will sell the system for $300, as per usual (or $299 in Walmart's case), but the system will be a special bundle that comes with a free copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Unfortunately, if you were hoping for a sub-$300 Switch, we have yet to see anyone drop the system's price. If the aforementioned bundle doesn't appeal to you, Kohl's has a more expensive option that also comes with $90 in Kohl's Cash.
A large number of Switch games are on sale, although the sheer scale of these deals is not the same as on PS4 or Xbox One, as you'd expect. Still, there are some good offers: last year's surprisingly excellent XCOM-like, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, drops to $20 at Best Buy; Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate drops to $35 at Target, Walmart, and Best Buy; Arms goes to $35 at Walmart; and Bayonetta 2 (which includes the previous game) will be $40 at Best Buy.
Nintendo will presumably launch its own game sale through the Switch Eshop, but as of yet that has not yet begun, as is the case with the PSN and Xbox Live sales. We'll report back if (but, more likely, when) it does.
Below, you'll find all of the Black Friday deals on Switch consoles, games, and accessories that we've spotted so far. More deals should be announced in the day ahead, and we'll keep this page updated. For even more, check out our full Black Friday deals coverage.
Take-Two teased a stealth spy game called Agent as far back as 2007, but after multiple delays and only the faintest hint of updates over the last decade it appeared the project was dead. Now a trademark update seems to confirm that Agent has been permanently taken out of the field.
A status update to the trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office marks the trademark as abandoned as of November 19, 2018. The status field states plainly, "Abandoned because no Statement of Use or Extension Request timely filed after Notice of Allowance was issued."
So after being alerted to the expiration, Take-Two chose to quietly let it go. That's as strong an indication as we've seen that the game is truly gone. However, it could also be that Take-Two is planning to rebrand with a different name, or implement some of its stealth-spy mechanics elsewhere. Based on the long period of silence we've had, it's likely the project is simply no longer in active production.
Thanksgiving is over, which means Black Friday 2018 is here and a tidal wave of deals and discounts for the annual shopping event are available right now. This is a great opportunity to buy a PS4, and you'll be able to get plenty of cheap things to go with it, including quality games and PS Plus. Sony's digital PSN games sale is already live, and below you'll find all the deals from Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and other retailers.
Sony itself has announced its Black Friday promotions, and you'll find a lot of what retailers have to offer line up with these deals. When it comes to PS4 consoles, the best option announced so far is from Target, Best Buy, Walmart, and Sam's Club all of which get you a PlayStation 4 Slim 1TB and Spider-Man as a pack-in game for $200 (or $199 in the case of Walmart and Sam's Club). That's a great deal, seeing as the console normally costs around $300 and Spider-Man costs $60. Given it's part of Sony's official lineup of deals, you can expect to find this pretty much everywhere--and not only that, but the deal seems to have gone live early at most every store.
In terms of PS4 accessories, another doorbuster Target will offer is a PlayStation VR bundle that comes with a camera, Move controllers, Creed: Rise to Glory, and Superhot VR, all for $250; that deal is mirrored at Best Buy. If you want a cheaper route, several stores will have a $200 PSVR bundle. Also, both Target, Best Buy, and Kohl's will have DualShock 4 controllers available for $40, while Walmart beats them at $39. Again $200 for PSVR and $40 for controllers are among Sony's official Black Friday deals, so expect to see those from a lot of stores.
On the PS4 games side of the equation, there's plenty to save money on. The recent release Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will drop to $40 at Walmart. Fallout 76 drops to $40 at GameStop in-store, while PSN has Spider-Man for $40. Another recent one, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, will be available for $30. Both Detroit: Become Human and God of War will be available for $25 each, as will Far Cry 5. Assassin's Creed Odyssey is at its cheapest (so far) at Best Buy, where it'll be $30.
We've gathered all of the PlayStation 4 deals announced so far into one place so you can get the best deal on whatever it is you're looking for. We'll keep this article updated as more retailers announce their Black Friday plans, so check back later; for now, the big ads we've gotten are from Target, Best Buy, and Walmart. Depending on exactly what you're looking for, you'll be going to a different store. You can find all of the PS4 Black Friday deals below.
It's November 23, which means it's officially Black Friday 2018. This means that Sony's PSN and Microsoft's Xbox Live sales on digital PS4/Xbox One games are underway, discounts on PS4 and Xbox One bundles have been made available, and we have details on the Nintendo Eshop sale for Switch and 3DS games. Furthermore, Steam has launched its sale, and we're seeing price-beating happening: Walmart just cut Black Ops 4 to $37 on PS4 and Xbox One, beating not only its own advertised price, but the best price we had seen anywhere. Black Friday is in full effect.
Best Buy's early access sale has ended for the time being, though it is still offering some deals on its website before it rolls out the full promotion on Thursday. Ebay has had some terrific deals leading up to Black Friday, and today (Wednesday only), it has some the best Xbox One and Nintendo Switch deals we've seen. Meanwhile, the PS4 Spider-Man bundle is on sale at numerous stores days before we expected, and PS Plus is $40 at a whole bunch of retailers. And after looking like Spider-Man and Fallout 76 wouldn't be discounted, we've now learned of deals on both.
Black Friday officially began today, on November 23, but we got a heads-up on what to expect. We started out by getting Target's ad early, giving us a look at what will be on sale across games, tech, and entertainment, and that's been followed by several other huge ones, Walmart and Best Buy. Everything from 4K TVs to PS4, Xbox One X, and Nintendo Switch are on sale, not to mention games and movies ranging from Red Dead Redemption 2 and Star Wars to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Deadpool 2. GameStop has also finally shared its ad, greatly expanding the list of deals.
As always, tracking what's on sale and where can be an overwhelming task, as can determining what the best deals are. We'll be doing our best to help you stay on top of this so you can make the most of Black Friday (and Cyber Monday immediately after that) without having to drown in a sea of circulars and hastily scrawled post-it notes. Below, you'll find our complete coverage of the event.
If you're looking for all things related to PS4, we've collected every deal announced so far for the platform--including consoles, accessories, and games--in one story. Among the highlights is a $200 PS4 bundle that comes with Marvel's Spider-Man at Target.
Those specifically hunting for a PlayStation 4 are in luck, as the console will be on sale in addition to many of its games. We'll be keeping an eye on all the ads as they come out to find out exactly where you should head for a PS4.
Given the popularity of PS4, there have been surprisingly few deals on PS Plus, but there are some--including one that will get you a year-long membership for only $40, which is about as good as PS Plus discounts get.
For a look at all things Xbox One, we've put together a roundup of every announced deal related to the system. That includes deals on consoles, games, and accessories. One of the best offers we've seen so far is a $400 Xbox One X bundle with a whopping $120 in Kohl's Cash from (you guessed it) Kohl's.
If you're hunting for an Xbox One S, you'll have some options this year. We're keeping track of the best offers on the console to help make it easy for you to pick one up.
Those able to spend extra for an Xbox One X are also in line for some discounts, with many saving you upwards of $100. There's even a deal at Best Buy on a special-edition version of the console itself.
Say you're not interested in wading through a huge number of deals--there are dozens upon dozens of games on sale--but want some good prices. We've selected what we think are the top deals of interest to those with an Xbox One (or anyone just now picking one up).
Whether you already own an Xbox One or are getting one this year, you may want an Xbox Live Gold subscription--it'll net you free games every month, exclusive discounts, and the ability to play online. Here are all the top deals on a membership.
Rather than buy individual games, you might prefer to get access to Microsoft's Netflix-style service, Xbox Game Pass. Fortunately, there are a small number (but very good) deals on memberships this Black Friday.
Nintendo Switch has had a big second year on the market, and whether you're looking for discounted games or some kind of sale involving system itself, you'll have at least a limited number of options to choose from. That includes a free copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe when buying the console at Target.
With more deals than last year, there's a lot of Switch offers to parse through. We've done our best to round up what we think are the best Switch console and game deals you can find this year.
Fortunately for those looking to pick up a Nintendo Switch this year, there will be Black Friday deals at a number of retailers. However, many of them appear to be identical and favor a free pack-in game rather than actual discounts on the standard price.
Those in the market for a new graphics card are in luck, as the wild inflation of video card prices has declined after the cryptocurrency boom. Black Friday brings with it even better deals, and we've rounded up many of these offers for you to peruse.
TVs are always one of the hot-ticket items on Black Friday, and 2018 is no exception. We've rounded up all of the discounts so far and will continue to do so as they roll in.
As expected, Steam's annual autumn sale is underway to coincide with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. There's an enormous number of things on sale as always, and Valve has kicked off nominations for the Steam Awards.
Steam can be one of the most intimidating places to shop during a big sale due to the sheer number of games that tend to be discounted. We've picked out many of our favorite deals we've spotted to help make sure you walk away with something good.
Walmart has a huge ad full of games on sale, along with consoles and accessories. One of its best deals see Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 drop to just $40 despite its relatively recent release.
What's outlined above is a big ad--Walmart has a ton of games on sale. If you'd prefer a more manageable look at it, we've rounded up what stuck out to us as the best gaming deals at the retailer this year.
You'll find not just games on sale at Walmart, but a ton of movies and TV shows, too. Whether you're looking for DVDs or Blu-rays, you're in luck, while 4K fans can find some good films in the sub-$10 range, which is atypical.
If you're more interested in how you obtain and consume your entertainment and games, you might be in the market for a TV, streaming device, or soundbar. If that's the case, Walmart is among the places you'll find a number of cheap options.
GameStop has updated its preview ad to the full deal, and it's packed with a ton of games. And while the retailer sometimes doesn't offer the same kind of discounts we see elsewhere, it's got some of the best prices this Black Friday.
The GameStop ad is huge, and you might need some help finding the best deals. We've combed through it for our picks of the top offers to give you an easy guide to shopping at GameStop this Black Friday.
Best Buy has some sort of sale on each of the main consoles--PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch--but its lineup of deals on individual games is frankly staggering. We've compiled the massive list of everything on sale in one place.
If you'd rather not dig through the enormous list of gaming items that Best Buy has discounted, we've put together a curated list of what we think are the store's top deals.
Alongside all of its games, Best Buy was a hide array of movies and TV shows on sale, spanning DVDs, Blu-rays, and 4Ks. In particular, there are some sweet sales for Marvel and Star Wars fans.
As is to be expected from Best Buy, a huge portion of it is dedicated to all things technology, including TVs. We've rounded up everything you can expect to see this year at the retailer.
Target was the first big store out of the gate to release its Black Friday ad early, and it included a ton of stuff of interest to game fans. You'll find a PS4 with Spider-Man for $200, among other things.
If you're interested in what Target will have to offer on the gaming front without wading through a long list, we've rounded up some recommendations on the best deals it has this year. This covers consoles (with deals on Switch, PS4, and Xbox One) and games for those systems.
Alongside its game offerings, Target's early Black Friday ad gave us a look at its many movies and TV shows that will be on sale, and it includes some great sub-$10 4K movies.
Black Friday is always a great opportunity to pick up a new TV for relatively cheap, and 4K TVs are among the variety of tech items you'll find discounted at Target.
Again, with such a wide variety of TVs, tech, movies, and TV shows on sale, it can be hard to figure out what's actually a good deal. We've put together a list of what we think are Target's best deals.
Sony has kicked off the PlayStation Store's Black Friday sale, and it discounts games for all PSN members. While the prices aren't always as good as those offered on physical games, this will be your most reliable place to find digital PS4 game discounts.
Xbox Live's annual Black Friday sale is already live if you've an Xbox Live Gold member, getting you discounts on digital games. It runs through November 27, although even once it opens up to non-Gold members, the deals may not be quite as good if you're not a subscriber.
Like many of the digital game sales, this one has a huge number of games to parse through. If you don't already have something in mind, it might be hard to find the worthwhile deals, so we've rounded up our picks of the best ones.
Nintendo's Cyber Deals sale is live on the Eshop, bringing discounts for digital games on Switch and 3DS. This runs through Cyber Monday and has some quality games included.
While the list of games included in Nintendo's sale is not as vast as those on Steam, Xbox Live, or PSN, there are good deal to be had. If you're looking for some help in picking some out, we've rounded up our picks for the best deals on Switch games.
Microsoft's retail outfit always has Black Friday deals that include Xbox One consoles, and this year is no exception. While it hasn't yet revealed offers on individual games, we know Microsoft Store is among your options for getting a $400 Xbox One X.
Kohl's doesn't sell many games, but it oftentimes has some excellent deals come Black Friday. 2018 is no exception, as it might be the best place to buy an Xbox One X.
Kohl's might primarily be a clothes retailer, but it does sell a limited number of electronics, like TVs. These are discounted in addition to netting you some Kohl's Cash.
Although you'll need a membership to take advantage, Sam's Club has some good offers on gaming and tech items, although its game deals are only on PS4 and Xbox One and simply match what we've seen elsewhere.
Whether you're looking for games or hardware to upgrade or build a PC, Newegg may have what you're looking for. The store has outlined all the deals you can expect from it this Black Friday.
Buying directly from Steam isn't the only way to get Steam games, and it's often by going through other retailers that you get the best prices. Fanatical, for instance, has dropped the prices of numerous Steam PC games.
Ebay has been quite aggressive with Black Friday this year, first beating certain prices offered by certain stores and then offering its own slate of terrific deals. It's now outlined the highlights of what to expect, before and during both Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Ubisoft, the publisher of Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell, and more is hosting a sale on its digital storefront, Uplay. Ubisoft is offering a variety of its games for PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch at discount prices.
Below you'll find roundups of all the deals on specific games, but we've also assembled a list of what we think are Black Friday 2018's best deals across PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Perhaps the biggest game release of the year came in October, likely too close to Black Friday for us to see extensive deals. And while we're not seeing much in the way of price cuts on the base games, there are some other sales of note.
Black Ops 4 represented a significant shift for the Call of Duty series, dumping a traditional single-player campaign and introducing a battle royale mode, Blackout. It's another game that, despite having only just been released, will be on sale come Black Friday.
Playground Games' terrific open-world driving game, Forza Horizon 4, is among the many games you'll find on sale this Black Friday. While you can play it through Xbox Game Pass, those looking to buy their own copy have numerous options.
God of War has been one of the year's standout games so far. It will be discounted this Black Friday, and thanks to the fact that it came out earlier in the year, the savings are even greater than with some of its fellow triple-A games that launched more recently.
The newest entry in the SoulCalibur series is a good one, and it of course brings with it a guest character--The Witcher's Geralt. Despite having only come out in late October, you'll find it for nearly half price on Black Friday.
It looked as if Marvel's Spider-Man wouldn't be discounted on Black Friday outside of the $200 PS4 bundles, but it turns out you will be able to get a copy of it for as little as $40.
Another game that seemed like it would go without any true Black Friday deals is Fallout 76, which would be understandable considering it was only just released. However, it will in fact go on sale for $40.
The most popular basketball game series returns with another strong entry in 2018. As with all of the year's big annual sports games, NBA 2K19 sees a nice discount on Black Friday.
With more than 100 million copies shipped, it seems like everyone should own a copy of Grand Theft Auto V by now. That's apparently not the case, as it continues to sell extremely well--and if you're among those looking to pick it up, you can do so on the cheap this Black Friday
WWE's annual wrestling sim, WWE 2K19, features a larger roster than ever before. And like so many of the other fall releases, this is one that will be on sale come Black Friday.
Another popular annual sports game is FIFA 19, which comes packed with a variety of different modes, including the wildly popular Ultimate Team. You'll have some extra cash to pump into FUT thanks to these Black Friday deals.
There's never been a better time to jump into Destiny 2 thanks to the release of the Forsaken expansion. Legendary Collection gets you the base game and all DLC released for it to date.
Although it's now a couple years old, Ubisoft's competitive shooter continues to grow strong, thanks in large part to a consistent stream of new content. As you'd expect, Siege will be discounted this Black Friday.
If you've got a need to catch 'em all, there's some good options on picking up a Pokemon game, and the hardware to play it. Although the latest games to be released in the franchise are Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee, they're unlikely to be discounted soon. Instead, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon can be purchased at a good price, and they're great games too. If you need hardware to play the games, there's a pretty nice 2DS bundle too.
Want to challenge your friends and family to some virtual football this holiday season? The latest entry in the Madden series is the way to go. Whether you're an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 owner, there's discounts across all versions available.
The third and final entry in the new series of Tomb Raider games, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, only just arrived in September, but you'll be able to find it for half price during Black Friday sales.
There's a huge array of movies on sale, no matter the format you're looking for--DVD, Blu-ray, and even 4Ks have dropped in price steeply for Black Friday. We've rounded up all of the deals for you in one place.
Marvel movies are among the biggest in the industry, and so Black Friday wouldn't be complete without the MCU being discounted. These include recent 4K releases like Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The biggest movie of the year will see some steep discounts during Black Friday, including on the 4K UHD version of the movie (which nets you bonus Blu-ray and digital copies).
If you're looking to fill out your collection of anime, there's a wide variety on sale this Black Friday, and we've rounded up picks for some of what we think are the best deals around.
It's difficult enough to keep track of all the deals, but further complicating matters are the way in which sales are staggered. No longer can you expect to just show up on Friday (or Thursday night) and be early--sales are starting hours or even days before then. We've done our best to compile all of this information in a digestible way.
We should have a firm idea of everything that will be on sale well in advance of Black Friday, but while we wait for all of the ads to come in, we've previewed what to expect from this year's big day. That may help you determine if you should buy something now or wait for a possible deal later this month.
Anybody can walk into a story on Black Friday or browse to a retailer's website, but there are tips and tricks to best approaching it. We've put together a guide to help you make the most of all the big sales.
With Black Friday 2018 now finally upon us, some great discounts are starting to emerge on video games and consoles. One such deal has gone live at Amazon UK, though you'll have to be quick.
The retail giant is offering an Xbox One X bundle, including Fallout 76 and Red Dead Redemption 2, for just £380. Given the Xbox One X's RRP is £450 by itself, that's not a bad deal at all. Be quick, though: the deal is limited in stock. Alternatively, you can sub out RDR2 for Forza Horizon 4 and FIFA 19 for an added £20, though that bundle isn't back in stock until December 3.
If you're after the cheapest possible price for an Xbox One X, however, you're better off going elsewhere. The best price we've seen is at John Lewis, which is selling the powerful console in a bundle with Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Motorsport 7 for £360.
The Xbox One X is the latest console released by Microsoft, and the most powerful member of the Xbox One family of devices. For more, check out our comprehensive Xbox One X review, written upon the console's release in November 2017. If you're undecided which console to get, Sony has discounted PS4s heavily this Black Friday. Take a look at the best UK PS4 console deals for the best deals we've spotted.
For obvious reasons, most retailers have been focusing their advertising efforts on Black Friday in recent weeks. But don't let the big post-Thanksgiving shopping day overshadow the online shopping day that's coming right up. November 26 is Cyber Monday, the biggest online shopping day of the year. To encourage customers to come back to retail websites with credit cards in hand, Walmart has announced several of its upcoming Cyber Monday deals already.
The deals will go live at 12 AM ET on November 26 (9 PM PT November 25). Walmart says it will have "thousands more deals" this year than it's had on Cyber Mondays in the past. It also promises stock will be more plentiful, so customers will be more likely to get the deals they want when they click on them.
Also new this year is Walmart.com's deal hub, which offers a curated list of the top discounted items across a number of product categories--including video games and media. We still don't know all of the deals Walmart will offer on Cyber Monday--we'll have to wait until the big day for that--but the company has released the following list of some of the best sale prices that will be on offer.
Today is Black Friday, and while you might associate Kohl's with primarily clothing and jewelry, the retailer does sell other items. Kohl's has a few gaming deals along with TVs and electronics. The retailer's Black Friday ad has plenty of items that may be up your alley if you plan on braving the storm today.
Worth noting upfront is that Kohl's will offer $15 Kohl's Cash for every $50 you spend; this is effectively a limited-time gift card which can be redeemed between November 24-December 5. Additionally, you can get an extra 15% off when shopping online by using promo code CHEERFUL at checkout. Alternatively, if you're shopping in-store, be sure to get a copy of the flyer, as it contains a barcode that also gets you 15% off.
Kohl's isn't offering much in the way of televisions, but it does have a couple deals. There is a 49" LG 4K Smart TV for $330 (originally $450), and a 58" Samsung 4K Smart TV for $550 (originally $900). Supplies will be limited for both of these doorbuster sales, so it's first come, first served, and coupons do not apply to either of these televisions.
If you're looking to smarten up your house, Kohl's has multiple products on sale, all of which are doorbusters, so you'll have to act fast if you want them. Both the Nest Thermostat and Nest Video Doorbell will be on sale for $180 each. Kohl's has plenty of smart speakers as well. The Amazon Echo ($70), Echo Dot ($24), and Echo Spot ($90) will all be part of the doorbuster deals.
Many of these deals are available online and in store, but the doorbuster deals begin online at 1:01 AM ET on Thursday, November 22 and in stores at 5 PM, locally, the same day, but check with your participating local Kohl's store in case its hours vary. The standard Black Friday deals begin online at 1:01 AM ET on Monday, November 19 and in stores at 5 PM local time on November 22.
Check out some of the best Black Friday deals from Kohl's below. It's still early, and more may be added to the Black Friday list, so we'll keep you updated if there are any changes. You can also check out our roundup of the best Black Friday gaming deals at Target.
It's that time of the year again when we round up the latest deals and discounts for many of the most impressive games released recently. Black Friday has officially kicked off and a large amount of deals are now live. These including deals featuring God of War, the critically acclaimed action game from Sony Santa Monica. Better yet, some of those discounts are already available. As one of the PS4's most impressive games of 2018, this reboot of the over-the-top and grand action-adventure series kicks off a surprising heartfelt new story.
The Target ad for Black Friday 2018 led the way, confirming God of War will be on sale for $25. Since then, we've also gotten both Walmart and Best Buy ads, with both of those retailers offering the same discount. But if you like digital games, the PlayStation Store is the winner, with the price down to $22 right now. However, many of these sales won't be active until Black Friday sales begin on Thursday and Friday. Still, it's good to stay up on the latest games now before the rush begins.
Coming from Sony Santa Monica, the newest God of War game picks up many years after God of War III. Moving on from the setting of Ancient Greece, Kratos--the demi-god and son of Zeus--lives a life of solitude in a realm immersed in Norse mythology. As a single-player action-adventure game, it moved away slightly from the ultra-violence and schlocky style of the original games, telling a more personal story that dealt with fatherhood and coming to terms with your past--all while killing off monsters and other gods in gory fashion.
In our review of God Of War, managing editor Peter Brown gave it a 9 and stated: "In many ways God of War is what the series has always been. It's a spectacular action game with epic set pieces, big-budget production values, and hard-hitting combat that grows more feverish and impressive as you progress. What may surprise you is how mature its storytelling has become. Like Kratos, God of War recalls the past while acknowledging the need to improve. Everything new it does is for the better, and everything it holds onto benefits as a result. Kratos is no longer a predictable brute. God of War is no longer an old-fashioned action series. With this reboot, it confidently walks a new path that will hopefully lead to more exciting adventures to come."
If you want to see where you can find these deals for God of War, then check out our roundup below. Expect many more deals to pop up in the days approaching Black Friday. As a reminder, these deals aren't active yet, so stick with GameSpot to see when you can take advantage of them and if more deals from other retailers come up.
There aren't many racing franchises you can say are as reliable or consistent as Forza. The Forza Horizon series in particular offers tight and satisfying racing gameplay while setting it all in real-world (and open-world) locations that are picturesque and provide a variety of activities to engage in. The latest entry, Forza Horizon 4, is already a hot property when it comes to Black Friday deals, and now that the big shopping event has come around, many discounts are available to take advantage of.
For those on the hunt for a good discount, there's a few options to consider, and most of them knock around $20 off the full price. First up, Best Buy has it priced at $30, which is currently the biggest discount that we've seen. Walmart, meanwhile, is offering the game for $35, and Target also has it for $35.
It's worth noting that these are all physical versions of the game, as opposed to digital codes. The Xbox Store sale is now live for Xbox Live Gold members, discounting a digital copy to $39. While pricier than its physical counterpart, this does come with the benefit of Play Anywhere, allowing you to access the game on both Xbox One and PC.
Forza Horizon 4 is also available through Xbox Game Pass, which is the Microsoft service that gives subscribers access to a selection of games for as long as they're a member. Although you won't outright own Forza Horizon 4, this is a way to play the game--alongside a bunch of others--for fairly cheap.
Forza Horizon 4 launched on October 2, and has held up the series' high standards, earning a 9/10 from GameSpot.
"There's such a diverse range of activities stuffed into every corner of Horizon 4, and meaningful changes contribute to smart driving dynamics and a more consistent sense of achievement," said Edmond Tran in his Forza Horizon 4 review.
"Everything you do in Horizon feels valuable, no matter how big or small--from the basic thrills of speeding a fast car down a gorgeous mountain highway to spending time tinkering with your favorite ride to manage seasonal road conditions to just hanging out with friends and strangers online and goofing off in friendly games. The charm of the Horizon series is as palpable as ever, a winning, all-inclusive recipe that celebrates the joy of driving above all else."
Today is the retail holiday known as Black Friday, where stores across the United States offer its items at pretty large discounts. One of main players in this game is Target, which has plenty of deals of everything from video games to TVs, electronics, tech, and more.
Instead of blindly rampaging through the retail giant, you can plan out your excursion with the list of selected items below or through the full Black Friday ad from Target's website. The deals are available online, but if you want to bravely battle the crowds, Game of Thrones-style, Target's doors open at 5 PM on Thursday, November 22 and will stay open until 1 AM on Friday, November 23. Target will re-open at 7 AM that morning. Hours may vary depending on location. It's first come, first served for the items and there will be limited quantities for everything in the Target ad.
Like every year, the main focus is on TVs. There are 21 televisions featured in the ad, with almost all of them being doorbuster promotions. You'll have to make your Lord of the Rings-esque journey to a local Target for these deals rather than buy them online. There are plenty of great Samsung TVs on sale, most of which are 4K Smart TVs. You can get $180 off a 65" 4K Smart TV for $650 or get the curved version for $800--which saves you $300. There is also an LG 4K Smart TV on sale for $750, saving $150 from the original price. The cheapest 4K TV for Black Friday is a 55' from Element for $200.
If you're looking to add some upgrades to your TV, you can add a Sony 4K Blu-ray player for $150, and that's a savings of $100. You can add a soundbar from Samsung for $120, so you can experience your movies with theater-quality sound. Amazon, Google, and Roku all have streaming devices on sale as well, for as little as $25 for the Fire TV Stick.
Check out the "best of" list for Target below and the items prices. More may be added to the Black Friday list, so we'll keep you updated if there are any changes.
Black Friday is today, and the deals are everywhere across the US. Best Buy's full circular has revealed deep discounts on televisions, tech, and more. Many consumers in the country have already flocked to these stores in order to get these items. However, there are still plenty of great deals at Best Buy that you can take advantage of.
There are plenty of doorbuster sales, so it's first come, first served for many of the items listed below. If you're in the new market for a TV, Best Buy will have you covered on the retail holiday. If you're planning on going big--or going home--there is an 82" Samsung 4K smart TV on sale for roughly $2500. If that breaks the bank, the cheapest large television you can get is a 65" 4K smart TV from Samsung for $600 or a 70" LG 4K smart TV for $700.
Best Buy also has accessories for your living room as well. A 2.1 channel Sony soundbar with wireless subwoofer is priced at $149 and a full-motion TV mount from Rocketfish will be $100. Additionally, if you're in the market for a universal remote, there's a nice one from Logitech for $60.

[Update]Now that Black Friday is in full swing, more deals on Assassin's Creed Odyssey have become available. This article has been updated to reflect that the game has been discounted significantly by Amazon and Ebay in the UK. [Original story] Among the biggest game releases this year was Assassin's Creed Odyssey. That's true both in terms of its stature, coming as the latest game in a major franchise, and its sheer size--it's a long game with a staggeringly large map. (Seriously, it's jaw-dropping.) Despite having only released in October, Odyssey is among the games you'll find on sale this Black Friday when it begins on November 23. And at some retailers, Ubisoft's title is actually already on sale.
Currently, GameStop has the lowest price on Assassin's Creed Odyssey, dropping it all the way down to $27, but you have to go into a brick-and-mortar store to get it. At Target, it will be $35 for a physical copy of the game on both PS4 and Xbox One, a price we've since seen matched in the Walmart ad. However, the next best price so far comes from Best Buy, where Odyssey will cost only $30.
If you want a digital copy of Odyssey, both the Xbox Store and PlayStation Store will have it for $40. Some physical retailers may even offer the digital version, as we saw with Walmart last year. There is at least one PC deal, as Steam and the Uplay store drops it to $40.
Meanwhile, for UK folks Argos has the standard edition of the game on PS4 and Xbox One for £30. Ebay is also offering some good discounts this year. The online retailer has both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Odyssey for £29.85 with free delivery.
Odyssey was well received upon its release, further building on the RPG shift the series took with 2017's Origins. It allows you to play as a male or female protagonist as you choose between the siblings Alexios and Kassandra. The aforementioned large world map is comprised of many landmasses, but there's also plenty of sea for some Black Flag-style naval action.
In our Assassin's Creed Odyssey review, Alessandro Fillari wrote that the game's "ambition is admirable, which is reflected in its rich attention to detail for the era and its approach to handling the multi-faceted narrative with strong protagonists at the lead, While its large-scale campaign--clocking in at over 50 hours--can occasionally be tiresome, and some features don't quite make the impact they should, Odyssey makes great strides in its massive and dynamic world, and it's a joy to venture out and leave your mark on its ever-changing setting."
Ubisoft has plans for both free and paid DLC for Odyssey, as the company hopes to keep you playing long-term; there won't be a new Assassin's Creed game released in 2019.
Below you'll find the complete list of Black Friday deals on Odyssey. It's quite brief for now, but we'll continue to update this as more ads are revealed.
[Update] While many of the deals on Black Friday are US focused--including those mentioned here, retailers in other territories are also offering some decent discounts. Amazon UK, for example, has the Xbox One X 1TB with EA's Battlefield V, the newly released Fallout 76, and Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Amazon also has the Xbox One X with Fallout 76 and Red Dead Redemption 2 for £37.99, which is an excellent deal. You can see the link to the deal below.
Black Friday is nearly upon us, so both current iterations of Microsoft's Xbox One--the Xbox One S and Xbox One X--will be seeing a variety of discounts and bundles. The more expensive Xbox One X, which normally goes for $500, will see some particularly nice offers, including a few that are live right now. So, before Black Friday kicks off tomorrow, it's worth scoping out any offers you want to make use of and planning your attack.
All of the Xbox One X discounts on Black Friday 2018 that we've spotted so far are outlined below. Best Buy has one of the best offers at $430, which gets you a special Battlefield V bundle. This consists of a special-edition Xbox One console, Battlefield V, Battlefield 1: Revolution, and Battlefield 1943, plus an additional controller. This bundle is live right now for My Best Buy members.
Ebay had some especially good deals that have now either expired or raised in price. There's still a $440 NBA 2K19 bundle; alternatively, $422 gets you the system on its own. Ebay also says it'll have more deals on the console later in the week.
Another very nice deal comes from Kohl's, where the console is being sold with a digital copy of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and a $120 Kohl's cash card for $400. For those in the UK, Amazon has the Xbox One X with Battlefield V, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Fallout 76 for £399.
We've listed all the sales for each store in case you need a back-up plan, and will update this article if more deals are announced. Just remember when stores open and close for Black Friday so you can take advantage of the deal you want.
The One X is the most powerful version of the Xbox One, possessing faster load times and playing games with enhanced framerates. It also renders certain games natively in 4K. The One X is much smaller than other Xbox One consoles and--like the One S--can be stored and played horizontally and doesn't have a massive power brick, so it doesn't take up much space.
Black Friday is here, and the deals are raining down upon consumers. The annual day after Thanksgiving holiday offers up deep discounts on assorted items from numerous retailers. And if you're the type of person in the market for new movies, there are plenty of deals you'll want to check out.
The best part about most of these Black Friday movie deals is that the majority of the physical discs--primarily Blu-ray and 4K--come with digital copy codes. So you'll be buying these movies cheaper than you can get them through a service like Google Play, iTunes, or Vudu, and a physical copy comes with it.
There are quite a few sales to keep you eyes on, including Barnes and Noble's sale on 50% off of Criterion Collection Blu-rays. The only Criterion movies shown in the circular were Ingmar Bergman's Cinema, The Tree of Life, and The Princess Bride, but more will be on sale.
Best Buy has a long list of DVDs, Blu-rays, and 4K movies on sale during the event. You can pick up either of the Super Troopers movies on Blu-ray for $4 each or movies from this past year for cheap: Avengers: Infinity War ($7), Black Panther ($7), Sicario: Day of the Soldado ($6), or Game Night ($8). The best movie deals to come to Best Buy are Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Episodes 1-6) for $20 and The Godfather Collection for $10.
Every store has different operating hours during Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and the weekend following the holiday, so take a look at our store hours guide, and make sure to check with your local retailers as store hours may vary.
Below you'll find a list of all the movie sales from retailers during Black Friday. Many of these stores don't have all its discounted movies listed on the various sites, but more will be added to the Black Friday sales. However, don't expect any huge surprises as these retailers want to put its best deals in the circulars to get you in the stores.
